Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 49 Coming to the Office
The remaining beauties also eagerly snapped up the Fan Bingbing concert tickets. After all, tickets like these were hard to come by, especially since the ones Lin Kuang had were for the VIP section.
When Lin Guo’er came over, her charming eyes shot Lin Kuang a fierce glare before she took a ticket, leaving him utterly bewildered. After everyone else had taken theirs, Liu Shilin found herself without one, and her heart sank with a touch of bitterness. Her beautiful, large eyes gave Lin Kuang an unhappy look before she turned and swayed back toward her office.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang quickly moved to follow her, but just then, Lin Guo’er grabbed his arm. "You jerk," she whispered, "come to my office later. If you dare stand me up, we’ll see how I deal with you!" She punctuated the warning with a final, fierce threat before turning to leave.
Lin Kuang scratched his head helplessly. "What’s with her?" he muttered to himself. "I didn’t even do anything!" Shaking his head, he stepped into Liu Shilin’s office.
Inside, Liu Shilin was head-down, looking through some documents. Lin Kuang walked over and poured her a cup of warm water.
"Shilin," he asked awkwardly, seeing that she wouldn’t even look at him, "are... are you a little upset?"
"No, not at all," she said hurriedly. "I just have a few documents to deal with, so I’m a bit busy." A flicker of panic in her large eyes betrayed her, revealing that he had hit the nail on the head.
"Ahem. Shilin, don’t misunderstand," Lin Kuang quickly explained, sensing she was indeed a little angry. "I already set aside tickets for you, Shiyu, and me at home. They’re all ready. I was just in a hurry leaving this morning and forgot to bring them. I’ll give them to you tonight."
Hearing his words, Liu Shilin’s expression froze. She hadn’t expected him to have already made arrangements. Thinking back on the glare she’d just given him, she couldn’t help but feel a flush of embarrassment.
"Oh! Oh, thank you, Lin Kuang. There’s no rush, tonight is fine," she replied quickly, a charming smile returning to her pretty face.
"Yeah, I’ll give them to you when we get home," Lin Kuang confirmed hastily.
Liu Shilin nodded, her mood brightened, and she returned her attention to her documents. Lin Kuang took a seat on the nearby sofa.
When it was nearly ten o’clock, Lin Kuang got up to leave. After all, Lin Guo’er had summoned him to her office, and he didn’t dare refuse. He stepped out of Liu Shilin’s office and began wandering aimlessly, realizing he had no idea where Lin Guo’er’s office was.
Just then, he happened to spot Qin Susu.
"Susu, which office is Guo’er’s?" he asked, stopping her.
"Oh, Sister Guo’er’s office? It’s that one, see?" Qin Susu said, pointing the way.
Lin Kuang followed her finger and nodded. "Alright, I got it. Thanks, beautiful Susu."
"Hehe, don’t mention it, Brother Lin Kuang," Qin Susu giggled, then turned to get back to her own work.
Following her directions, Lin Kuang arrived at the door to Lin Guo’er’s office. He raised his hand and knocked softly.
"Come in."
Lin Guo’er’s voice sounded somewhat displeased. Not thinking much of it, Lin Kuang pushed the door open and strode in. When she saw it was him, her charming face instantly turned several degrees colder.
"Sit," she said irritably, pointing at the chair across from her desk.
Lin Kuang was completely baffled. He had no idea why she was so angry. But he knew better than to talk back to an angry woman. That would definitely not end well!
With that thought, he obediently sat down across from her, his eyes on the beautiful Lin Guo’er. Her arms were crossed, a pose that perfectly framed her ample chest. The expanse of pale, soft skin was clearly visible, especially her deep cleavage, which was enough to spark a man’s imagination. Although Lin Kuang tried not to stare, her posture made it impossible for him to look away.
Lin Guo’er stared daggers at him, watching as he snuck glances at her chest like a thief.
"Would this make it easier for you to see?" she suddenly asked, her voice deceptively sweet. She leaned forward slightly, and since her top was already low-cut, the movement revealed the entire landscape within to Lin Kuang’s wide eyes.
"Um, yes, much clearer," Lin Kuang answered subconsciously. He regretted the words the moment they left his mouth, a flush of embarrassment creeping up his face. He stole a glance at her and found her watching him with an unreadable, half-smiling expression, which only made him feel more awkward.
"Ahem. Guo’er, I... I didn’t say anything. Yeah, nothing at all. Don’t get me wrong," he stammered, though his defense sounded utterly feeble.
"Lin Kuang, you bastard! You pervert! Do you even remember what you did to me yesterday?!" Seeing his embarrassed expression, Lin Guo’er wanted to laugh, but the memory of his intimacy with Fan Bingbing soured her mood.
"Uh, didn’t you kiss me yesterday? Nothing else happened, right?" Lin Kuang asked foolishly, looking at her slightly flushed, angry face.
"Lin Kuang, you really are a bastard!" she said furiously. Her ample bosom heaved with her breaths, once again capturing Lin Kuang’s gaze.
Might as well keep looking there. God only knows why she’s angry again. As long as I keep my mouth shut, I can’t be wrong. Lin Kuang thought, his eyes fixed on her chest.
Just as she was about to explode, Lin Guo’er noticed his eyes were once again locked on her chest. She felt a surge of both shame and anger.
This bastard! He really is a good-for-nothing who only knows how to sneak peeks! she screamed internally. She was about to let him have it, but then another thought stopped her. Hmph. I can’t lose my temper. It’s not like I’m any worse than that Fan Bingbing, am I? If she can seduce this bastard, why can’t I?!
At that, Lin Guo’er immediately suppressed the rising tide of her anger. Her formerly taut, angry face relaxed, replaced by a seductive smile.
Seeing this abrupt shift, Lin Kuang instinctively felt that something was about to happen. Her change in demeanor was completely abnormal. He couldn’t guess what was coming, but a sense of unease settled over him.
