Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 384 Inform Everyone
Hearing this, Yang Ruotong's face flushed red again. Thinking of their wild antics over the past two days, she felt completely overwhelmed.
"You rascal... then, let's go upstairs," she finally said, her face still bright red.
Seeing her reaction, Lin Kuang chuckled. "Sister Tong, I'm just teasing. I actually arranged to meet Uncle Yang here to discuss something."
At his words, Yang Ruotong's cheeks burned even brighter. She wasn't a fool; she knew perfectly well he had just been teasing her. "You scoundrel!" she said irritably, opening her mouth and giving his shoulder a playful bite. She was worried about hurting him, however, so it was only a very gentle nibble.
"Alright, alright, go sit down. Uncle Yang should be here soon, and it wouldn't look good if he saw this," Lin Kuang said with a laugh, giving her cheek a quick kiss.
Yang Ruotong nodded, her face still flushed. She didn't ask what Lin Kuang and Yang Wucheng needed to talk about. As a woman, she had no desire to meddle in the affairs of men.
The two of them sat on the sofa, and about half an hour later, around nine-thirty in the morning, Yang Wucheng's car pulled up.
"Kid, what did you need to see me about?" Yang Wucheng asked with a smile as he walked into the house.
"Something has come up. Uncle Yang, shall we go to the study?" Lin Kuang replied with a smile. This matter concerned Inoue Kenta, and he didn't want Yang Ruotong to find out. If she knew, she would be heartbroken. In her mind, Inoue Kenta was already dead. Since he's already dead, he should stay that way. Reappearing among the living would only bring grief to those he left behind.
Yang Wucheng nodded in understanding. "Alright, let's go to the study." He turned and walked toward the room, and Lin Kuang immediately stood up to follow him.
Once they were both seated, Yang Wucheng tossed Lin Kuang a cigarette before asking with a laugh, "Alright, kid, what's with all the mystery? What's going on?"
Lin Kuang remained silent. He lit Yang Wucheng's cigarette before lighting his own, taking a long drag. His expression grew grave. Seeing this, Yang Wucheng's smile faded, his own face turning serious as well. Looks like this is serious.
"Uncle Yang, Tong Lin isn't dead," Lin Kuang said, his tone heavy as he met Yang Wucheng's gaze. "And his real identity... he's from the Island Country. His name is Inoue Kenta."
Yang Wucheng froze, his expression turning incredibly grim. "So my suspicions were correct after all. He really is from the Island Country," he said, his face a mask of bitterness. His voice was a complex mixture of heartache, rage, resignation, and resentment.
Lin Kuang was taken aback. He had no idea that Yang Wucheng had already suspected something.
"I'm not an idiot. That whole incident was too strange. Of course, I looked into it, but without any evidence, it was just a suspicion," Yang Wucheng explained, though a faint, pained smile touched his lips. "So, tell me everything. Where did you get this information?"
In truth, Yang Wucheng's heart ached. Inoue Kenta had once been his best soldier—and his son-in-law. How could he possibly be in a good mood when confronted with something like this?
Lin Kuang nodded and proceeded to tell Yang Wucheng everything he had learned from Ye Rong, leaving no detail out. When Yang Wucheng heard that Inoue Kenta not only intended to seize control of the entire East Sea but also planned to have him killed, his expression changed dramatically.
"That animal!" Yang Wucheng spat, his face contorted with rage. His eyes burned with murderous intent, and his hands trembled slightly, a clear sign of his fury.
Lin Kuang sighed inwardly and quietly smoked his cigarette, saying nothing to give Yang Wucheng time to compose himself.
By the time Lin Kuang had finished his cigarette and stubbed it out, Yang Wucheng had composed himself, taking a deep breath. "Lin Kuang," he asked, his voice now calm, "what's your plan?"
Lin Kuang offered a slight smile. "I'm going to catch Inoue Kenta. Uncle Yang, he's sending someone to assassinate you tonight, so you must be careful. As for Du Wentai and Wei Anguo, you need to keep a close eye on them. The moment I have Inoue Kenta, I'll contact you. When I do, you must lock down the entire military district to make sure no one slips away."
"Right, I understand. Do what you need to do, and don't worry about me. I, Yang Wucheng, have seen my share of storms, but assassinating me won't be so easy for them.
"I'll wait for your call at the military district. Lin Kuang, I'm counting on you. You have to catch him!" Yang Wucheng said, his expression completely serious.
Lin Kuang nodded with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, Uncle Yang. I'll do everything I can," he replied, his own expression just as serious.
"And don't tell Ruotong about this. I'm worried she wouldn't be able to take it. Understand?" Yang Wucheng added.
"I understand. That's why I asked to meet you here," Lin Kuang replied with a smile.
"Alright. I'll head back to the military district to make arrangements. I'll be waiting for your news," Yang Wucheng said grimly as he stood up.
"Okay," Lin Kuang nodded.
The two of them left the study. After calling out a brief farewell to Yang Ruotong, they both departed.
Ten minutes later, Lin Kuang returned. Thinking of Yang Ruotong, his heart filled with compassion. She truly was the biggest victim in this whole affair.
"You're back already?" Yang Ruotong asked, surprised to see him.
"Of course. I was missing my Sister Tong," Lin Kuang said with a laugh, looking at her smiling face. "Besides, I'm a little hungry. Won't you make me something tasty?"
"Alright, you rogue. I'll go cook," Yang Ruotong said, smiling. She seemed to be in a very good mood.
"Great! Make extra. We'll need our energy for... strenuous exercise later," Lin Kuang said with a sly grin, eyeing her face.
Yang Ruotong's face went red, and she shot him a glare. "You pervert, that's all you ever think about!" she snapped. Despite her annoyed tone, she did as he asked, making not only more rice but also several extra side dishes.
The two chatted and laughed while they ate, creating a cozy scene reminiscent of a newlywed couple.
After the meal, Lin Kuang helped Yang Ruotong clear the table. They washed the dishes together in the kitchen, the atmosphere comfortable and warm. Of course, as they worked, Lin Kuang's thoughts turned mischievous. His hands soon stopped washing dishes and began to wander over Yang Ruotong's body. Before long, the two were lost in their own blissful moment.
