Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 347: Farm Showdown
RAT-A-TAT-TAT! A burst of gunfire rang out, instantly felling four or five men.
A bodyguard retreated to Yamamoto Saku's side, his expression grim. "Mr. Yamamoto, the entrance is blocked! We can't get out!"
"The windows! The windows! We'll go out the back!" Yamamoto Saku shouted after a quick look around.
At his command, the others quickly retreated to the rear window. They smashed it open and scrambled outside, breaking into a dead sprint.
Just then, Lin Kuang arrived with his men. "Kang Cheng, what's the situation?" he asked as soon as he saw the team.
"Instructor Lin, a group just burst out of there. We took down a few of them," Kang Cheng replied hastily.
Lin Kuang frowned and listened intently. The house was silent. His expression changed slightly. "Damn it, they've escaped! Follow me!"
With that, Lin Kuang kicked the door in and began searching the rooms.
"Not good, Instructor Lin! They escaped through the back window!" Song Tao yelled as he entered one of the inner rooms and saw the shattered opening.
Lin Kuang immediately rushed in. His expression tightened as he saw the broken glass.
"They can't get away! Follow me! We have to catch them!" Lin Kuang shouted.
Without a moment's hesitation, he leaped out the window. Kang Cheng, Song Tao, and the others followed suit, quickly giving chase.
Meanwhile, Yamamoto Saku was also sprinting for his life, flanked by his ten ninjas and a few remaining bodyguards.
"The car! It's over there! Go, go!" Yamamoto Saku screamed, his eyes lighting up as he spotted the vehicle. Hearing him, his men nodded and accelerated.
They were fast, but Lin Kuang was faster. He caught up to them before Yamamoto Saku could even reach the car.
Spotting the figures ahead, Lin Kuang opened fire with the two Desert Eagles in his hands.
BANG! BANG! BANG! Four or five shots rang out, and another four or five men dropped to the ground.
"Quick! Protect me! Damn it, protect me!" Yamamoto Saku shrieked, clearly terrified of dying.
At his command, the three remaining bodyguards and ten ninjas formed a tight circle around him. They pressed forward at top speed as the bodyguards laid down covering fire.
RAT-A-TAT-TAT! As bullets sprayed wildly in his direction, Lin Kuang dropped to the ground and fired his Desert Eagles again.
BANG! BANG! BANG! Three shots, and Lin Kuang took out all three bodyguards.
Just then, Kang Cheng, Song Tao, and the rest of the team arrived.
"Careful, they have ninjas!" As the words left Lin Kuang's mouth, the distinct sound of objects slicing through the air filled the night.
"Get down! Everyone, get down, now!" Lin Kuang roared.
Without a second thought, Kang Cheng and the others dropped to the ground. The instant they hit the dirt, a volley of ninja stars zipped through the air just above their heads. If they had been a fraction of a second slower, they would have been hit.
"Open fire! Take them down!" Lin Kuang yelled. "The man in the middle of the ninjas has to be Yamamoto Saku! Don't let him escape!"
At the same time, Lin Kuang leaped to his feet, his Desert Eagles barking repeatedly. Kang Cheng, Song Tao, and the others didn't hesitate either, jumping up and firing their weapons.
Ninjas might be formidable, but they were still human. A bullet through the brain or the heart would kill them just the same. Under the hail of bullets, three or four ninjas were killed instantly, and another two or three were wounded.
Seeing their advantage, Lin Kuang and his team charged even faster.
By this time, the remaining six or seven ninjas had gotten Yamamoto Saku to the car.
"Master, get in! We'll cover you," one of the ninjas said.
Yamamoto Saku didn't need to be told twice. He jumped into the car with four ninjas, and they sped away. The three remaining ninjas, all of them injured, stayed behind to cover the escape. They charged forward, unleashing a continuous volley of ninja stars as if from an unlimited supply.
This sort of attack would be manageable in daylight, but it was the dead of night. Lin Kuang himself could handle it, but Kang Cheng, Sun Lei, and the others were certain to be injured by the dense barrage of projectiles.
"Take them out! I'll cover you!" Lin Kuang snorted, drawing Nameless from his waist. In the moonlight, the cold steel of Nameless seemed even more sinister, like a truly demonic weapon.
Lin Kuang swung the blade with incredible speed.
CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! He continuously deflected the incoming ninja stars, sending some of them crashing into others in mid-air.
With Lin Kuang providing cover, Kang Cheng, Song Tao, and the others opened fire.
RAT-A-TAT-TAT! A burst of machine-gun fire tore through the air, and the three ninjas dropped dead to the ground.
"Let's go! After them!" Lin Kuang roared. Yamamoto Saku was getting away, and Lin Kuang had no intention of letting that happen.
Fortunately, their enemies had left two cars behind. Lin Kuang went to one, smashed the ignition, and ripped out two wires from the battery.
SPARK! SPARK!
The next moment, the engine roared to life. Lin Kuang, with Song Tao and Kang Cheng, sped off in the Audi.
At this point, Yamamoto Saku's car was not far ahead, less than a kilometer away.
Lin Kuang slammed his foot on the accelerator. The black Audi surged forward, roaring like a beast of steel. His driving skills were beyond masterful. He pushed the Audi to its limits, the speedometer's needle climbing relentlessly past two hundred kilometers per hour.
"Faster! They're catching up!" Yamamoto Saku yelled after a glance in the rearview mirror.
The ninja at the wheel said nothing, merely nodding. He shifted gears and slammed on the gas, causing their Mercedes to lurch forward as its speed skyrocketed.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang ordered, "Kang Cheng, Song Tao, open fire! Take them down!"
The two men nodded, rolled down their windows, and opened fire with their machine guns.
"Quick, evade! They're shooting at us!" Yamamoto Saku bellowed.
The driver immediately began weaving the car from left to right to avoid the bullets. Even so, several rounds struck the car's body, though none caused any significant damage.
"Damn it! There are guns in this car! Use them! What are you all waiting for?!" Yamamoto Saku roared.
Ninjas didn't usually carry firearms, but that didn't mean they didn't know how to use them.
