Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 313: Disdainful
Lin Kuang wasn't being arrogant; this was simply what he truly believed. Regardless of the Fan Family's background or the extent of their power, Lin Kuang didn't care. His only concern was Fan Bingbing.
If Lin Kuang truly dreaded the Fan Family, he wouldn't have killed one of their members. Since he dared to do so, it proved he didn't care about the Fan Family, nor did he fear their retaliation.
He had clawed his way here through a storm of blood, surviving countless near-death crises and hails of gunfire. What had Lin Kuang ever been afraid of? If he didn't fear death itself, why would he fear the threats of a single family?
Hearing Lin Kuang's words, the smile vanished from Fan Molun's face, replaced by an icy indifference that crept into his eyes.
"Very well," Fan Molun said, his tone flat. "It seems you insist on being my enemy, the enemy of my Fan Family, is that correct?"
Upon hearing this, Lin Kuang shook his head. "I have no intention of being anyone's enemy. As long as you don't stand between me and Bingbing, nothing will happen. But if you continue to obstruct us... then forget being an enemy of your Fan Family. For my woman, what's the harm in making an enemy of the entire world?"
Lin Kuang stared down Fan Molun, his aura overwhelmingly domineering. This was his character: arrogant, domineering, and even somewhat unreasonable. For his woman, he feared no threat.
Hearing Lin Kuang's words, Fan Molun burst into hearty laughter. "Good, good, good! King of the Underworld, you truly live up to your name! Very good! But since you're so eager to be our Fan Family's enemy, tonight I'll send you on your way!"
As he spoke, Fan Molun's tone turned frigid, his gaze radiating an icy killing intent.
Lin Kuang simply nodded calmly. "Alright. However, this isn't the place for a fight. There's a man-made woods up ahead. Shall we battle there?"
"Fine. After you," Fan Molun said, turning abruptly and raising a hand slightly in a gesture of respect for a fellow expert.
Without hesitating, Lin Kuang strode forward, paying no mind to Fan Molun beside him. He had the confidence to back it up.
Watching Lin Kuang brush past him, Fan Molun had to admire the man's courage. However, the arrogant disregard in Lin Kuang's attitude irked him considerably. Fan Molun snorted coldly and followed Lin Kuang, his man close behind.
Watching them leave, Liu Shilin, the little Witch, and Lin Guo'er all had faces etched with worry. There was nothing they could do but pray silently that Lin Kuang would be safe.
The three of them—Lin Kuang, Fan Molun, and the young man—walked into the man-made woods. Lin Kuang came to a stop and calmly faced Fan Molun.
"Come on, Fan Molun. I've heard of your great reputation for a long time. Today, let me test your strength," Lin Kuang stated composedly.
"Fine," Fan Molun replied, his face an emotionless mask. "But you'll have to defeat my subordinate first. Otherwise, I have no interest in fighting you myself."
Hearing this, Lin Kuang couldn't help but sneer. "Is that so? Why don't you both just come at me at once? Dealing with you one by one is such a hassle, don't you think?" A look of disdain crossed his face as he spoke.
Lin Kuang wasn't stupid. He naturally understood Fan Molun's intention: to use his subordinate to test his skills so he could gauge his strength from the sidelines. Lin Kuang couldn't help but feel disdain for such a tactic. I once thought Fan Molun was a significant figure, but now it seems he's nothing special.
Hearing Lin Kuang's words, Fan Molun's indifferent face turned ugly, and a fierce killing intent flashed in his eyes. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Just then, his subordinate shot forward, closing the distance to Lin Kuang in an instant.
"King of the Underworld, curb your arrogance! I, Sun Hai, will take you on!" Sun Hai declared in an icy tone.
Without giving Lin Kuang time to respond, Sun Hai threw a punch, aiming fiercely for Lin Kuang's face.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang sneered. "Just you? You're overestimating yourself!"
With that, Lin Kuang secretly activated the Open Door and the Rest Gate. In an instant, his strength soared. The terrifying surge of power made Sun Hai's expression change dramatically. At the same time, Sun Hai seemed to use some secret technique, and his own strength spiked in an instant, which made Lin Kuang pause in surprise. Other than his face paling slightly, Sun Hai showed no other significant changes.
Lin Kuang frowned, a flicker of contemplation in his eyes.
Just then, Sun Hai's speed suddenly exploded, and the power behind his fist surged.
Feeling the change in his opponent, Lin Kuang's expression returned to one of calm. Although Sun Hai's strength has increased significantly, he's still no threat to me.
With that thought, Lin Kuang burst forward and threw a punch of his own. Their fists collided in an instant.
BANG!
A muffled boom echoed as Sun Hai was sent flying backward. As he reeled back, his face turning ugly, Lin Kuang pressed his advantage, punching fiercely toward his abdomen.
Seeing Lin Kuang's swift, ruthless attack, Sun Hai grew even paler. I'm retreating, and his attack on my abdomen is precisely where I can't defend in time.
Pushing off with his feet, Sun Hai twisted his body with all his might. Lin Kuang's fist grazed past his abdomen. Just as Sun Hai thought he had dodged the attack, Lin Kuang's fist snapped open into a palm, his fingertips jabbing viciously into Sun Hai's stomach.
Sun Hai felt a sharp pain, and for a fleeting moment, his body was paralyzed. In that instant, Lin Kuang retracted his hand and swung his right leg in a savage whip kick that smashed into Sun Hai's abdomen.
BANG!
Sun Hai's body flew through the air, his face turning ashen as he spat out a mouthful of blood. His body crashed heavily against a large tree behind him.
CRACK!
The wrist-thick tree snapped in two, and Sun Hai's broken body collapsed to the ground. At this point, who knew how many of his bones were broken; he was essentially crippled. Though not yet dead, he was not far from it.
Watching Lin Kuang dispatch Sun Hai so quickly and cleanly, Fan Molun's expression grew solemn. He knew Lin Kuang was strong, which was why he had Sun Hai test his skills. What he hadn't expected was Lin Kuang's vast combat experience. His speed, strength, and the timing of his attacks were all mastered to perfection. This man was undeniably a formidable opponent.
