Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 231 Selling Swords While Sitting on the Ground
"Thinking about squashing you makes me so happy!" Yang Ruoxi said excitedly.
Hearing this, a headache started to form for Lin Kuang. This girl really is asking for a beating!
With that thought, Lin Kuang took the initiative and launched an attack. Yang Ruoxi was not to be outdone, charging forward to meet him in combat.
As they fought, Lin Kuang was surprised to discover that Yang Ruoxi was even more formidable than he had imagined. Her use of Tai Chi Force, in particular, was even stronger than Chen Shaowen's, which truly astonished him.
However, Lin Kuang soon came to terms with it. After all, Yang Ruoxi had been immersed in Tai Chi for so many years, and with her high aptitude, it wasn't impossible for her to be stronger than Shaowen.
Even so, Lin Kuang took her down within three minutes.
If Lin Kuang hadn't been considerate of her feelings, he could have defeated her within a minute. Her practical combat experience was just too poor, and that was something that could only be accumulated over time.
Getting back on her feet, Yang Ruoxi was clearly defiant. Swinging her little fists, she charged at Lin Kuang once more.
Lin Kuang simply used his Chaotic Tai Chi. His attacks seemed completely random, yet they were so formidable that they completely suppressed her.
Yang Ruoxi had a wonderfully resilient personality. The more setbacks she faced, the more determined she became. Even though Lin Kuang defeated her several times, she never let it discourage her, which was a great relief to him. If Yang Ruoxi had become disheartened after losing, Lin Kuang would have found himself in a tough spot. After all, she wasn't one of the men from the Seal Special Team, so his teaching methods had to be different.
Half an hour later, Lin Kuang intentionally delayed a bit before finally taking Yang Ruoxi down. Although she lost again, she was quite satisfied because she could feel herself improving. After their spar, Lin Kuang took her upstairs and began transferring True Qi into her.
After another half an hour, Lin Kuang left for Liu Shilin's villa.
When he arrived at the villa, Liu Shilin had already prepared a steaming hot breakfast. Smelling the delicious aroma, Lin Kuang's appetite soared.
"Shilin, my dear, your cooking is amazing! The smell alone is driving me crazy," Lin Kuang said with a grin as he walked into the living room.
Hearing this, Liu Shilin's pretty face blushed. She rolled her eyes at him in mock exasperation, but her heart fluttered with sweetness. After all, hearing praise from the person you like is a wonderful feeling.
"You smooth-talker," she said, her face flushed. "Go wash your hands and eat."
"As you command, my dear wife!" Lin Kuang replied with a smile. He sat down next to Liu Shilin, and the two enjoyed a cozy breakfast together.
After breakfast, Liu Shilin went upstairs to change while Lin Kuang cleared the table. Their division of labor was perfectly clear. By the time Lin Kuang finished washing the dishes, Liu Shilin had come back downstairs. They shared a smile, left the villa, and drove to the Yashi Company.
The situation at the company was unchanged. News that stores were pulling Yashi lingerie from their shelves had been a daily occurrence for the past few days, so Liu Shilin and the others were used to it. After reassuring the employees, Liu Shilin and Lin Kuang went into the office.
Not much was happening at the company today. It was the same as always—occasional bits of bad news, but no major incidents. Lin Kuang, with nothing better to do, occasionally teased Lin Guo'er, making her pretty face flush red as she squirmed.
As the end of the workday approached, Lin Guo'er came into the office.
"Shilin, how about we go shopping after work? It's been so long since I've been shopping, I hardly have any clothes to wear," Lin Guo'er said with a smile.
Liu Shilin paused for a moment, then nodded. It was true, she hadn't been shopping in a long time either.
"Sure," she said with a laugh after a moment's thought. "Let's call Shiyu and all go together tonight. Hmm, Lin Kuang can be our driver."
"Yes, yes! That's what I was thinking too," Lin Guo'er said, and the two women glanced over at Lin Kuang.
Hearing this, Lin Kuang felt a wave of helplessness but nodded anyway. "Alright. But I'm guessing I won't just be the driver, right? I'm afraid I'm going to be the designated bag carrier, too," he said, looking at the two of them speechlessly.
"Hmph! You should be grateful," Lin Guo'er retorted with an irritated glance at him. "Do you have any idea how many young, talented men in East Sea would kill for the chance to take us shopping? We can't be bothered with them. We're doing you a huge favor by letting you come." She was still annoyed at him for teasing her earlier that day. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
Seeing her mood, Lin Kuang wisely shut his mouth. Arguing with a woman was a fool's errand, something only an idiot would do.
Seeing Lin Kuang fall silent, Lin Guo'er snorted and shot him a look of satisfaction.
Just then, Liu Shilin called the little Witch and told her to come straight to the company. The moment shopping was mentioned, the little Witch seemed to transform into Superman, buzzing with energy.
By closing time, the little Witch had arrived. The four of them—Lin Kuang, Liu Shilin, Lin Guo'er, and the little Witch—piled into the Mercedes and headed for the busiest shopping street in East Sea.
Once they arrived at the shopping street, the three women immediately switched into battle mode, buying anything and everything. It was as if they hadn't been shopping in ages and were determined to make up for lost time.
Lin Kuang could only smile bitterly. He was so laden with shopping bags that he couldn't possibly carry another one. His entire body was obscured, leaving only his eyes visible so he could see where he was going.
"Ladies," he said helplessly, his voice muffled by the bags, "can we head back to the car for a minute? I need to drop all this stuff off."
Hearing his voice, they finally turned around. When they saw the mountain of bags he was carrying, they had the grace to look a little embarrassed.
"Ahem. I'll go back with you," Lin Guo'er offered. "Shilin, Shiyu, you two find a place to sit and wait for a bit."
Liu Shilin and the little Witch nodded. And so, Lin Kuang followed Lin Guo'er back to the car to deposit the countless bags into the trunk.
Once the bags were safely stowed away, Lin Kuang let out a long sigh of relief. The two of them then started walking back to the others.
Halfway there, Lin Kuang suddenly stopped. He saw a middle-aged man sitting on the ground in front of a shopping mall. In front of the man was a long, cloth-wrapped package and a small sign with two large words written on it: SWORD FOR SALE.
The characters were neatly written, yet they seemed to radiate a vigorous, powerful energy that was truly extraordinary.
The sight immediately captured Lin Kuang's attention. He pulled Lin Guo'er by the hand and walked over.
This bizarre scene began to attract other passersby, and in the blink of an eye, a crowd several layers deep had formed. It was, after all, peak shopping time.
