Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 229: Airborne East Sea
Although Wang Ya Hao was very reluctant, he knew how formidable Lin Kuang was. Taking him down wouldn't be easy, and moreover, none of his subordinates were masters of that caliber. Seeing Chu Zhongtian and Wang Ya Hao settle the matter, Zhao Shunyang and Huang Zelun decided not to say anything more.
Afterward, Chu Zhongtian invited the three men to enjoy themselves at the Xiangya Club, bringing the matter to a close for the time being.
However, within a mountain range somewhere in the country, at the Dark Blood headquarters, the Six Elders of Dark Blood also received the news of Gu Yue's death. Although they knew Gu Yue might not be a match for Lin Kuang when they dispatched him, the grim news still darkened their expressions.
After all, Gu Yue was the number one assassin they had cultivated. While his loss wasn't catastrophic for Dark Blood, it was by no means insignificant.
"Eldest Brother, let me go," the second elder said, his voice laced with a cutting chill. "I've been idle for too long. It's time I stretched my muscles, lest the outside world forget the fearsome reputation of the Six Elders of Dark Blood!" 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Very well. Go, and take Fifth Brother with you. It's better for you two to support each other," the eldest of the elders replied, his expression calm and his tone revealing neither joy nor anger.
"Eldest Brother, there's no need. I alone am sufficient," the second elder insisted, his arrogant tone laced with undeniable confidence.
The eldest shook his head. "Don't underestimate the King of the Underworld just because of his age. He is extremely powerful. You will go with Fifth Brother. My decision is final. There will be no more discussion."
The eldest spoke calmly, yet his words carried an unquestionable authority.
The second elder wanted to argue, but upon seeing the look on the eldest's face, he swallowed his words. After all these years, they understood each other's characters well—the eldest's word was law, and there was no arguing once he made up his mind.
"Very well. I will go with Fifth Brother. We'll set out tomorrow morning," the second elder said flatly, glancing at the eldest.
"It's settled then. You will depart tomorrow morning," the eldest said, gesturing for everyone to leave.
At his signal, the others rose and took their leave.
However, just as the third elder was about to leave, the eldest's voice sounded in his ear—a message only the two of them could hear, sent via a secret Sound Transmission technique.
"Third Brother, follow them secretly tomorrow. I'm worried about Second Brother's volatile temper."
Hearing this, the third elder nodded subtly. The eldest wasn't the only one concerned; the third elder's own worries mirrored his superior's. The eldest's command brought him a slight sense of relief.
Meanwhile, Lin Kuang was on the sofa in Liu Shilin's villa, flanked by Liu Shilin and the Witch. Lin Kuang felt blissful sitting between the two women; any man would enjoy being flanked by such beauties. After chatting for a while, the three of them went to their respective rooms to rest.
Back in his room, Lin Kuang lay on his bed texting Fan Bingbing. They chatted until nearly midnight before he finally went to sleep.
At that moment, a private jet landed at the East Sea Airport. A group of about a dozen people disembarked, led by two men and one woman. The men were tall and handsome, the woman beautiful and captivating. Yet, all three shared the same arrogant expression.
And all three shared the same surname: Fan.
"East Sea," the beautiful girl complained, annoyed by the heat. "It's been a long time. The temperature here is still unbearably hot. How irritating."
"Tingting, stop complaining," Fan Bin said with a smile. "We're here on serious business."
"Hmph, it's just some Lin Kuang. What's so great about him?" Fan Ting scoffed, clearly underestimating him. Her words made it obvious that they were here for him.
"Don't forget his other identity," Fan Bin said gravely, his tone turning cold. "Our mission is to persuade him. We are only to take action if persuasion fails. Do you understand?"
Hearing this, Fan Ting's expression soured. She muttered something under her breath but didn't dare say more, clearly wary of Fan Bin.
"Alright, Eldest Brother, you know how Tingting is," Fan Sheng said with a smile.
These three were siblings. Fan Bin was the eldest, Fan Sheng the second, and Fan Ting the youngest.
"Hmph! Second Brother is always nicer to me." Fan Ting snorted at Fan Bin and moved to stand by Fan Sheng's side. Her relationship with Fan Sheng was clearly much better than with their eldest brother.
"Second Brother, you and Mother spoil her too much!" Fan Bin said, sounding helpless.
"Come on, Eldest Brother," Fan Sheng said. "Tingting means no harm, she's just a bit blunt. Let's get going. The weather in East Sea really is too hot."
Fan Bin nodded at his brother's words and led the group from the airport. He clearly held Fan Sheng's opinion in high regard.
The Fan Family's businesses were spread across the country. Their assets in East Sea alone included the local Disney resort and several five-star hotels.
The group arrived at their hotel. Due to Fan Bin's prior orders, there was no formal reception waiting at the entrance. Instead, the Fan Family's East Sea branch manager personally greeted Fan Bin's party and escorted them to the presidential suite on the top floor.
Fan Bin, Fan Sheng, and Fan Ting entered the suite. The others were their bodyguards and were quartered elsewhere.
"Mr. Wu, is the information we requested ready?" Fan Bin asked, smiling at the man before him, Wu Cheng. He was referring to intel on Lin Kuang's activities in East Sea and the people he associated with. To deal with Lin Kuang, they naturally needed all available information on him to gain an advantage.
"Young Master Fan, this USB drive contains all the information you requested," Wu Cheng said, bowing as he placed it in front of Fan Bin. His tone was extremely respectful.
Fan Bin nodded. "Hm. Fan Shirong was also killed by Lin Kuang, correct?"
"Yes. According to our investigation, Mr. Fan Shirong was indeed killed by Lin Kuang," Wu Cheng replied, bowing again.
"Alright, I understand," Fan Bin said with a nod, his tone indifferent. "Go prepare some food for us, and then you may rest. We'll call you if we need anything."
"Yes, Young Master Fan. I will take my leave." With another bow, Wu Cheng turned and left the room.
