Yang Wucheng was no fool. Chen Zhongrui knew perfectly well that his daughter, Yang Ruoxi, possessed an Extreme Yin Body and didn't have many years to live. Yet, he still brought Chen Shaowen over to propose a marriage, even though the two of them had never even met. To claim it was for love was complete nonsense!

It clearly wasn't love. Yang Ruoxi was going to die soon, yet Chen Zhongrui still brought his son to propose. Even a fool could see that something was fishy!

This thought filled Yang Wucheng with anxiety. Although he didn't know Chen Zhongrui's true intentions, Yang Ruoxi was undeniably the target.

With that thought, Yang Wucheng turned to his wife and daughter with a smile. "Honey, Ruotong, could you two go start dinner? I'm going to have a chat with Lin Kuang in the study." He then gestured for Lin Kuang to join him as he walked toward the study.

Lin Kuang stood and followed Yang Wucheng into the room.

After closing the door, Yang Wucheng offered Lin Kuang a cigarette. Lin Kuang lit it for him before lighting one for himself. Neither of them spoke. The study fell silent, with only cigarette smoke swirling in the air.

When his cigarette had burned halfway down, Yang Wucheng finally broke the silence, his gaze fixed on Lin Kuang. "What are your thoughts on this matter?"

"I'm not sure," Lin Kuang said in a low tone, flicking the ash from his cigarette. "But they came for Ruoxi, and I doubt they'll give up so easily."

Yang Wucheng took another drag from his cigarette. "That's what worries me," he finally said, his voice laced with concern. "Chen Zhongrui is a very powerful man, and now he holds the reins of the Chen Family. I'm afraid they might make a sudden move against Ruoxi."

Lin Kuang nodded. "That's true, but I don't think they'll move against Ruoxi so quickly. After all, she's your daughter, and this is East Sea. They must be wary of you to some extent. Most importantly, Ruoxi is quite strong now. Chen Shaowen is definitely no match for her. Even if Chen Zhongrui himself tried to take her down, it would be impossible to do it quickly!" he stated with absolute confidence.

Yang Wucheng was stunned. My daughter has that kind of power? It was difficult for him to believe.

"Are you serious? Is Ruoxi really that strong?" Yang Wucheng asked, staring at Lin Kuang in disbelief.

"Of course. Would I joke about something like this? Ruoxi has an Extreme Yin Body, and I have an Extreme Yang Constitution. My True Qi is the purest and most yang energy in the world.

"I transfer my True Qi into her body twice a day. She also possesses the power of Tai Chi, which allows her to harmonize my potent yang True Qi with the Extreme Yin Cold Qi in her own body, creating an incredibly powerful force! If we were to unite, we could form the ultimate Yin Yang Physique!

"That kind of constitution is unbelievably formidable, but it has all but vanished from the world today. Naturally, if my yang True Qi is continuously transferred into her body over time, she will gradually transform into a Yin Yang Physique on her own. Her power will grow beyond anything we can imagine!"

Although Yang Wucheng held a higher military rank, he knew far less about the world of Ancient Warriors than Lin Kuang did.

Listening to Lin Kuang's explanation, Yang Wucheng eyed him skeptically. "You're not just trying to trick my daughter into bed, are you, kid? There's something about the way you say that that sounds awfully suspicious."

Lin Kuang shuddered and almost fell out of his chair. This future father-in-law has such a dirty mind! No, wait… he's already my father-in-law, since I've already won Ruotong's heart. After grumbling to himself for a moment, he turned back to Yang Wucheng.

Lin Kuang looked at him with a mischievous grin. "Uncle Yang, what are you thinking? Did you use the same trick to win over Aunt Zhang?"

"Ahem! Ahem! You little rascal, watch your mouth! I'm your father-in-law, after all!" Yang Wucheng glared at Lin Kuang and said fiercely.

It was just an offhand remark, but seeing Yang Wucheng's reaction, Lin Kuang started to wonder. Did something really happen back then? His curiosity piqued, he opened his mouth to ask.

However, as if sensing what was coming, Yang Wucheng quickly cut him off. "Stop right there. We won't speak of this again. You said Ruoxi is strong, but she lacks real combat experience. That makes me very uneasy." He deliberately changed the subject, his expression turning serious.

"That's easy to fix," Lin Kuang said after a moment's thought. "Starting tomorrow, I'll train with Ruoxi every day—once in the morning and once in the evening—to build up her combat experience. Additionally, you could select a few of your best soldiers to protect her secretly. That way, it won't be so easy for Chen Zhongrui and his people to make a move on her. What do you think of my proposal?"

Yang Wucheng nodded repeatedly. "Yes, yes, that's not bad at all. It's a very good plan. Let's do that. I'll have to trouble you with this, but then again, she is your future wife." He said this with a shrewd, cunning smile, leaving Lin Kuang at a loss for whether to laugh or cry.

The two of them remained in the study a while longer to discuss the details before finally heading out.

Lin Kuang was the first one out. Just as he crossed the threshold, he suddenly turned back, his face a mask of curiosity as he looked at Yang Wucheng.

Startled, Yang Wucheng stopped in his tracks. "What is it now, kid?" he asked, looking puzzled.

"Nothing much," Lin Kuang said with a wide grin, his eyes sparkling with interest. "I'm just really curious, Uncle Yang. How exactly *did* you win over Aunt Zhang back in the day?"

At this, Yang Wucheng's face flushed red, as if recalling an embarrassing memory.

"Ahem! Get lost!" Yang Wucheng said, flustered and irritated. "Children shouldn't ask about adult matters. Now, go on!"

That whole business was so embarrassing. He'd never even told his two precious daughters about it, so how could he possibly tell Lin Kuang?

Lin Kuang shook his head in disappointment. "Alright, then. Just pretend I never asked." He shrugged and turned to leave the study.

Watching Lin Kuang go, Yang Wucheng finally let out a sigh of relief, his mind drifting back to the past. Despite the embarrassment of the memory, a deep sense of happiness spread across his chiseled, resolute face. It seemed that what happened all those years ago was one of the most precious memories of his life.
