Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 119: Remember to Close the Door
Tian Wei had not expected Lin Kuang’s speed to be so fast. He appeared behind him in the blink of an eye, which immediately made Tian Wei’s mood incredibly grim. He already had a high estimation of Lin Kuang, but at this moment, it soared to new heights.
This man... this man is very strong. I’m probably no match for him. I might actually die here this time.
Despite this thought, Tian Wei did not give up; after all, he was an expert himself. His body swirled in a tight circle on the ground, and Lin Kuang’s fist grazed harmlessly past his back. Simultaneously, Tian Wei spun around, a cold light glinting from the sharp dagger in his hand as it streaked toward Lin Kuang’s throat. In an instant, Lin Kuang’s body seemed to become boneless, contorting in an extremely bizarre way that no normal person could possibly achieve.
Watching his dagger slice through the air just over Lin Kuang’s head, Tian Wei knew things had gone horribly wrong.
Sure enough, Lin Kuang abruptly struck out, landing a punch on Tian Wei’s abdomen.
BANG!
Tian Wei was thrown backward, spitting out a mouthful of blood as his face turned deathly pale. Seizing the opportunity, Lin Kuang closed in, shot out a hand, and grabbed Tian Wei’s arm. The next moment, he exerted his strength and executed a shoulder throw, slamming Tian Wei hard onto the ground.
BANG!
The impact resounded, and Tian Wei’s complexion grew even more ghastly. The tip of Lin Kuang’s foot was now pressed against Tian Wei’s throat. If he dared to make a single move, Lin Kuang could end his life in an instant.
"Interested in telling me who hired you?" Lin Kuang asked indifferently, looking down at the pale-faced Tian Wei.
"Since when have the assassins of Dark Blood ever betrayed a client?" Although Tian Wei’s face was pale, his words were laced with an endless coldness.
Hearing this, Lin Kuang nodded. "You have a point."
With that, Lin Kuang pressed down hard with his toe.
CRACK!
Tian Wei’s throat was crushed, killing him instantly. Ignoring the corpse, Lin Kuang quickly returned to the Liu Family’s villa. No one inside had noticed that an assassin had just come and gone.
Quietly slipping back into his room, Lin Kuang lay on his bed, pondering who was trying to have him killed.
Chu Zhongtian, Ye Tiannan... It must be one of you two. Tsk, tsk. Sending someone to kill me. Very well. In that case, I suppose it’s time we had a talk.
Muttering to himself, a cold light flashed in Lin Kuang’s eyes.
「The next morning.」
Lin Kuang woke up as if nothing had happened. He got up, washed up, and jogged to the small square. Soon after, Yang Ruoxi also arrived. Their gazes met in mid-air, carrying a subtle hint of romance.
After Yang Ruoxi finished her Tai Chi, Lin Kuang followed her back to the Yang Family’s villa.
Little Xinxin was as cute and enthusiastic as ever, calling him "Uncle-in-law" over and over, much to Lin Kuang’s delight. Meanwhile, Yang Ruoxi stood beside them, her face flushed red as she glared at the two of them. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
"Cough, cough, Ruoxi," Lin Kuang said with a smile, holding the adorable Little Xinxin. "She’s so cute, you shouldn’t always be scaring her."
"Exactly! Uncle-in-law is the best!" Little Xinxin chirped. She then pouted her little lips and planted a kiss on Lin Kuang’s cheek, making him beam.
"Hmph, you little rascal! Just wait and see how I deal with you later!" Yang Ruoxi huffed, then turned to Lin Kuang. "And you, scoundrel, follow me upstairs!"
With that, she turned and headed up the stairs.
"Aunty, Uncle-in-law, remember to close the door!" Little Xinxin called out cheerfully from behind them, sticking out her cute little tongue.
Hearing Little Xinxin’s words, Lin Kuang couldn’t help but feel a bit awkward, while Yang Ruoxi’s pretty face turned an even deeper shade of red. However, she didn’t say anything more and simply led Lin Kuang into her room. Lin Kuang, who entered last, casually shut the door behind him.
"Hey, why did you close the door?" Yang Ruoxi demanded, suddenly flustered and annoyed.
"Uh, it’s nothing. Little Xinxin told me to, so I did. Otherwise, what if a child were to see something... inappropriate? It could affect her psychologically, hinder her development!" Lin Kuang said with a perfectly straight face.
At his words, Yang Ruoxi’s delicate body trembled with anger, her ample bosom heaving up and down. "You jerk! Who said I was going to do *that* with you!" she said furiously.
"Oh? Do *that*? What ’that’ are you talking about? Ruoxi, your mind isn’t in the gutter, is it?" Lin Kuang asked, blinking innocently at her.
Hearing this, Yang Ruoxi froze for a moment, and then her pretty face flushed so crimson it looked like it might start bleeding.
"Lin Kuang, you are a huge jerk!" she said, utterly mortified. This guy was just too much of a scoundrel!
"Cough, cough, alright, alright. Girls shouldn’t get so angry; it’s bad for your health. Be a good girl, Ruoxi. We’ll treat your illness first and chat later," Lin Kuang said with a grin, patting her head as if he were placating a child.
His condescending manner only made Yang Ruoxi even more indignant, and she began pounding his chest with her small fists. Lin Kuang didn’t get angry, simply letting her vent. Only after a few minutes did she finally stop.
"All done? Not angry anymore?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile.
"Not a chance. I’m just tired and taking a break," Yang Ruoxi retorted irritably.
"Alright, you can continue once you’ve rested up."
Saying this, Lin Kuang pulled her over to the bed and began to channel True Qi into her body. Half an hour later, he finished the treatment, and they both got off the bed. Yang Ruoxi shot Lin Kuang a dissatisfied glare before leaving the room.
Watching her graceful departing figure, Lin Kuang followed her downstairs.
After a satisfying meal at the Yang Family’s home, Lin Kuang left and returned to Liu Shilin’s villa. However, when he stepped into the main hall, he sensed the atmosphere was off. Lin Guo’er was there, too. Both of the beautiful women had grim expressions on their faces, as if something serious had happened.
Seeing Lin Kuang return, they both fixed their gazes on him.
It was Lin Guo’er who spoke first. "Lin Kuang, did an assassin come here last night?" As she spoke, her beautiful eyes stared intently into his.
"Er."
Lin Kuang paused. Seeing the worried looks on Lin Guo’er and Liu Shilin’s faces, he finally nodded. "Yes, an assassin from Dark Blood came. But I didn’t want to alert Shilin and the little Witch, so I dealt with him myself. Guo’er, how did you know an assassin was here?"
Saying this, Lin Kuang looked at her curiously. Could it be that Guo’er has found something out?
"Because I received intel that Ye Tiannan hired an assassin from Dark Blood to kill you," Lin Guo’er said, her expression grim. "The message arrived less than an hour ago!"
