Unrivaled in another world-Chapter 187: Demon Family Limited Edition
[: 3rd POV :]
As soon as Xerath, Lilith and Kiel entered one of the domains, the sky above the shattered as they swirled in jagged spirals of fractured space.
Colours bled unnaturally across the horizon with violet lightning bent into reversed arcs, crimson clouds flowed like rivers, and the remaining Domains clashed like grinding tectonic plates.
In the very center of this cataclysm stood the Demon King, Xerath, towering, sharp-eyed, and smiling like someone about to enjoy a rare form of entertainment.
Beside him, the Demon Queen Lilith with twirled strands of abyssal mana between her fingers, her eyes glowing with wicked amusement.
And behind them, casually stretching his arms, their son Kiel gave a small groan.
"This would be interesting," Kiel muttered.
"Father didn’t really hesitate to fight 5 Apostles
all at the same time"
"Well, having the title as ’Apsotle’ would no doubt be a challenge, but of course, Father wouldn’t care about that"
"I guess, he’s really excited about this"
Lilith grinned.
"Oh hush, dear. Your father and I haven’t had a nice family outing in centuries. This is bonding time."
"Besides, it has been a long time since I had a workout"
Xerath nodded sagely.
"Exactly. And nothing says bonding like slaughtering Apostles."
"Family therapy," Lilith corrected.
"Family therapy," Xerath agreed.
Kiel sighed. "I’m surrounded by lunatics."
Across from them stood the Five Apostles of the Sovereign Apocalypse, each glowing with oppressive authority yet each of their expressions carried the same emotion.
It was panic.
Their eyes trembled.
Their breathing hitched.
Their hands refused to summon even a spark of their divine power.
Because the Domains, created by Daniel, no longer allow them to utulise their full power.
Every attempt to utilize their Laws sputtered out uselessly, like matches in a hurricane.
Uriah, Apostle of Judgement, snarled. "Why—why can’t I access my Authority!?"
Serai, Apostle of Flames, screamed, "My Blessing, my Flame! It’s gone! What did you demons do!?"
Nelius, Apostle of the Spear, stumbled back. "This is impossible! Our blessings are severed and our Authorities locked!"
A cold laugh echoed from Lilith.
"Oh, sweet children. You really underestimate this world didn’t you? You thought you could walk in and destroy our home?"
Xerath raised his hand, mana rippling from him like the shudder of a waking titan.
"You entered your own world believing we were lambs waiting to be slaughtered," he said calmly.
"But unfortunately..."
Lilith finished the sentence, her voice dripping with mirth:
"Instead of us being the prey to be devour, the roles had been reversed"
The Apostles froze.
Kiel waved cheerfully.
"Basically, you five locked yourselves in with my parents. That’s a terrible life decision."
Serai trembled. "You demons... you can’t—this shouldn’t be possible!"
Xerath cracked his knuckles, crimson lightning crawling down his arms.
"Let’s begin."
The moment those words left Xerath’s lips, the world cracked.
Uriah roared as he charged first, summoning a phantom gavel formed of fractured fate, though weakened without Authority, it still carried enough force to crush a mountain.
"JUDGMENT SMASH!!"
Xerath simply lifted one finger.
"Abyssal Counterstring."
Reality twanged like a snapped thread.
The gavel shattered into glittering dust.
And Uriah himself was launched backward, crashing through two layers of the Domain.
Kiel blinked.
"Dad, you’re not supposed to one-shot the Apostles. We’re making memories, remember?"
"Right, right," Xerath muttered. "I’ll hold back."
Lilith sighed dramatically. "Men. Always overdoing it."
Nelius and Serai attacked together, the former with a spear of light condensed from the remains of his Domain, the latter hurling wild flame bursts, uncontrolled but vicious.
"LUMINESCENT IMPALE!!"
"INFERNAL MAELSTROM!!"
Kiel stepped forward, cracking his neck.
"My turn. Don’t cry too loudly."
He inhaled deeply.
Dark mana coiled around him like a storm binding itself into a humanoid shape.
"Black Pulse."
A shockwave of violet-black force erupted from his body.
The spear shattered.
The infernal flames twisted into harmless sparks.
Both Apostles were hurled back as if struck by a collapsing star.
Lilith gave Kiel an approving nod. "Good boy."
Kiel shrugged. "I learned from the best."
Uriah returned, blood dripping down his temple.
"W-What? Even you people possessed such power!?"
"T-This isn’t fair! How could such world birth monsters like you!"?
Lilith walked toward him, unfazed, beauty draped in darkness like a queen walking down a royal hall.
"Oh hush. At least die with dignity."
"Nightweaver’s Embrace."
Out of her shadow rose serpentine tendrils made of condensed void-silk.
They wrapped around Uriah, pulling him in multiple directions, stretching, twisting.
Kiel winced. "Mom, that’s a little brutal."
Lilith grinned sweetly. "You think so? It’s barely a massage."
Uriah screamed.
The remaining Apostles, driven into cornered desperation, finally coordinated.
Nelius anchored his spear into the ground, forming a protective circle.
Serai ignited her body in unstable divine flames.
Mariel, Apostle of End Winds, sliced her palms open and let the wind drink her blood, forming a storm.
And Caelum, Apostle of Ruin, forced his broken Authority to flicker.
"Even if our powers are suppressed," Caelum rasped, "we are Apostles! We will not fall!"
Together, they unleashed a combined assault.
A ring of wind-blades shrieked toward the demon family.
A vortex of unstable flame spiraled overhead.
A temporal ripple surged forward, threatening to freeze the field.
Even Kiel frowned. "Okay, that’s actually impressive."
Xerath stepped forward.
Lilith stepped back to sync with her husband.
Kiel centered himself beside them.
And as one, all three demons moved.
The family of nightmares.
The rulers of the abyss.
The monarchs whose existence was a calamity.
"Dreadfall Dominion!" Xerath roared, slamming his fist into his palm.
A crater of pure despair erupted outward, swallowing wind and flame.
"Abyssal Bloom!" Lilith chanted, releasing a burst of blossoming black lilies that devoured the temporal ripple.
"Riftstep Sever!" Kiel whispered, blinking through the wind barrier and splitting it cleanly in half.
The collision of the three demonic techniques shattered two entire layers of the Domain.
The Apostles were thrown violently around, bodies cracking, divine forms flickering like candles.
Still...they stood.
Barely.
Serai coughed blood.
"Damn demons... you... you actually dare to..."
Kiel rolled his shoulders.
"Of course we do. If this was easy, Mom would complain I wasn’t having fun."
Lilith nodded. "He’s right."
Xerath sighed. "We can’t end the Apostles too fast. They’re rare prey. Like endangered species."
Mariel screamed in frustration. "STOP JOKING WHILE FIGHTING US!!"
Xerath shrugged. "But you’re not threatening enough to be serious."
Mariel’s eye twitched.
The Apostles, driven to their limits, unleashed their final, desperate Union Technique.
A blinding pillar of light erupted from their collective core.
"APOSTOLIC CONVERGENCE: APOCALYPSE HEAVEN"
The beam tore through the battlefield, bending reality and swallowing the sky with raw celestial force.
Xerath grunted as he took the brunt of it, pushing against the beam with crackling crimson arms.
Lilith’s barrier trembled; her black lilies wilted into ash.
Kiel skidded backward, boots carving trenches across the ground.
All three demons strained.
The beam roared louder.
Lilith hissed through clenched teeth. "Okay—okay, I admit, this is a bit much."
Xerath snarled.
"They’re finally acting like Apostles!"
"Well, this is getting fun"
Kiel chuckled. "Good. Because now we can stop holding back."
The Apostles widened their eyes.
Xerath’s voice rose like a demonic warhorn.
"Lilith!"
"Already on it," she whispered, darkness swirling around her.
"Kiel!"
"Ready."
The three demons aligned.
Mana spiraled around them, threads of abyss, dread, and void intertwining into a celestial-devouring storm.
The Apostles felt their souls freeze.
"No—NO—NOT THAT—!!"
Xerath stretched both hands to the heavens.
Lilith clasped her hands above her chest.
Kiel drew his blade, a sword forged from abyssal flame essence.
And together, the demon family unleashed their finishing strike.
"TRI-ABYSSAL ANNIHILATION—FAMILY EDITION!!!"
A colossal beam of pure demonic force surged outward, black, crimson, and violet intertwining, spiraling, erasing.
It collided with Heavenbreaker.
It was the true depiction of destruction versus destruction.
The only difference is which side would win.
For a moment...there was only silence.
Then...the Apostles’ beam shattered.
The demonic blast consumed them whole.
Their screams echoed only for a few seconds before being drowned in the overwhelming explosion.
Light faded.
The Domains cracked.
The ground stilled.
Silence returned.
Where the five Apostles once stood, only drifting ash remained.
Kiel exhaled, wiping sweat from his brow. "Well... that was fun."
Lilith stretched, cracking her back.
"Mhm. It’s been a while since we did a family combo attack."
Xerath patted his son’s shoulder. "You did well. Your timing has improved."
Kiel smirked faintly.
"Had good teachers."
Lilith chuckled. "Oh, stop. You’ll make your father blush."
"I do not blush," Xerath said sternly.
"Sweetheart, your ears turned red."
Kiel snorted.
Xerath coughed loudly and crossed his arms. "Let’s go home."
Lilith intertwined her arm with his. "Yes, dear."
Kiel followed behind, gaze drifting toward the fading ashes.
"Good fight," he murmured. "You Apostles were annoying... but strong."
He smiled softly, a little ruthless, a little proud.
"But in the end..."
He glanced at his parents.
"...nobody beats the Demon Family."
And together, the three demons vanished from the broken Domain.
