Jake was surprised that someone like the brain could use the system… it was basically a synthesized being, after all. With that in mind, he wondered what he should call the guy. It seemed way too rude to call someone by their occupation… at least calling them as that seemed.

"All right, choose a name for yourself," Jake said.

"Judas II."

"All right… I will transform you into a blender," Jake said. f𝘳𝚎𝐞we𝐛𝑛𝐨𝘃e𝘭.co𝘮

"It appears you didn't like it, then how about Virgilius?"

"It is a pretty human name… moreover, it is the name of the spirit that guided a certain man through the circles of hell while he was looking for his beloved," Jake said. "Are you telling me that I am heading into hell right now?"

"I didn't know that it was a human name with such meaning."

"Then it is fine…" Jake said and then sighed. "First of all, we need to go to a place where I can train a lot while you repair the spaceship. After that, I will see what we should do."

Since the quest didn't have any rewards, Jake didn't know if he had completed it. Still, without the spaceship, the people that once lived there wouldn't be able to attack that world, so technically, he had completed his mission. Considering what happened before, Jake wanted to test if the system would react to his thoughts, but before that, he decided to train seriously for a while.

"Based on what I saw, I would advise you to focus more on defending. You are too violent. Improving your abilities to counterattack and reflect attacks would improve your skills considerably." Virgilius explained.

"Why should I listen to the advice of someone who lost to me?" Jake asked.

"You won because my training didn't grant me the experience of real combat. You also had unexpected skills that can't be found in our database. Without those factors on your side, you were supposed to lose 2239 fights out of 2240." Virgilius said.

"Because you rely on such things as data, you lost," Jake said. "Even giant robots have weakness, even more so would have a half humanoid dragon with mechanical parts. Raw power is necessary, but unless that power is enough to defeat an enemy in a single attack, then creativity and tricks are even more important."

Still, training how to do counters and Reflect attacks seemed like a good idea, but Jake actually wanted to learn that skill that his previous self used… a technique that absorbed all the mana around and even from the enemies' attacks and fired everything back right at the enemy.

"A good place to train your skills would be one of the arena planets. You will fight many powerful enemies. The only issue is that at the end of the tournaments, only the champion is alive." Virgilius explained.

"... Arena planets, does that mean that people all over the universe head to those places to fight?" Jake asked. "I would rather not kill others for sport.

"In that case, there are many worlds at war against each other. It seems that you don't think too much about killing people and invading other people's homes, so you will find many opponents. Their strength varies, though," Virgilius said.

"Before heading to those, I want to see your database of information regarding magic and techniques," Jake said.

"As you wish. During the fights that we had since the time I was created, I registered pretty much all of the fighting styles we faced and tried to teach everyone here using the simulator. However, it didn't work very well, as you already know," Virgilius said.

"You have a simulator?" Jake asked while frowning.

"Yes, we analyze the brain data of the users and check the fights that they had a hard time with and make them experience that again. Based on what you said earlier, it seems that you didn't recover all of your techniques, so this might help you understand them and relearn them," Virgilius explained.

"Or you could just analyze my memories and come up with a way to kill me. Besides, I am not going to put anything in my head," Jake said.

"Your skepticism runs deep. The simulation can happen whenever and I can analyze your brain whenever as well. I just wait to have permission," Virgilius said.

It seemed convenient, but Jake was done with convenient things. Because of that, he used the sin skills and then recalled some troublesome memories. Everything in the world is supposed to have a price. Some are just a bit hard to notice.

"You can do it later. If you truly are the type who will try to kill me once you have the chance, it will be fun to see you try," Jake said. "It might even work as good training for me. Regardless, show me the techniques that you have in your database."

Soon after, Virgilius made a hologram appear in front of Jake. The image was of a monkey-like creature swinging a larger sword in one heck of a fluid motion.

"A ghost," Jake said.

"It is a hologram. My previous masters faced these creatures a few decades ago," Virgilius explained. "We call this technique: the silent sword. If you practice this enough, you can sharpen your sword strikes and make them unable to emit any sound."

"I suppose this is a good starting point," Jake said as he watched the hologram move.

After watching the hologram a few times, Jake realized that the trick behind it was that the guy moved at the same speed. He didn't increase his speed or decrease even during or after the attack. He probably had some crazy muscles with explosive power and was resilient.

Jake started that slowly and then he began to increase the speed while he was practicing. There was no other way to learn that since it wasn't like a fighting style with clear moves. So, Jake kept going. After some hours of practice, he decided to put that to good use.
