Undying Warlord-Chapter 606 Claim Mission
"[To Claim the Crimsonwood Forest's Gate the Tribe of the 12 Apostles has to be destroyed!]" Felicia read out loud when a notification appeared in front of everyone.
After a discussion that lasted a few minutes, the group came to the conclusion that it was necessary to claim the Gate in the Crimsonwood Forest.
It would be a disaster if the Blood Orcs were to emerge in the forest of the flying island without anyone's notice. They would slaughter everyone if they were to reach the flying island at the worst possible time.
Thus, it was only obvious that they had to prevent the worst case and make sure that the citizens of the flying island were protected.
"The Tribe of the 12 Apostles? That should be the Blood Orc tribe with the 12 Demi Gods. That is quite troublesome, we are less in number, and they have subordinates as well…" Felicia sighed deeply after she voiced out her opinion of the given situation as the first one.
Their group didn't have the time to claim the Gate by spending a month protecting it. This was quite obvious after they faced the Blood Orc Champion head-on…if one could consider their encounter like that.
The Tier-4 Blood Orc Champion had nearly killed three human Demi Gods without many difficulties, after all. None of them had been prepared for a sudden attack, let alone the Berserk Roar of the Blood Orc Champion, but it was still a tremendous feat being able to inflict fear to the Demi Gods and nearly kill a bunch of them before they could even react.
Dilan's intervention was the only reason why everyone was still unscathed, and that was also only because his reaction had been fast enough.
If he had been a quarter of a second too late, everything would have ended in a bloodbath on their side.
"We have 10 Demi Gods here, right now. Sven cannot fight, but he was always a great strategist. Considering that he is now a Demi God as well, he should be even better than the last time. As for the rest…Rory and Yvonne shouldn't have a problem fighting one of the Apostles as long as they can get rid of the fear the Blood Orcs can inflict thanks to their sub-bloodline.
As for the rest… we should be fine, I guess…no you guys will probably not be fine, the Hylavia Mercur Titan sub-bloodline will cause too much trouble if the Blood Orc Champions use their Berserk Roar at the same time…" Dilan mumbled to himself, trying to figure out a way to make sure that the small bunch of Demi Gods was able to return without any complication.
But what worried Dilan was the setup of their group. It was just a huge big mess, and not something that was supposed to work out in a big party, not to conquer a Tribe filled with Orcs in the possession of the Hylavia Mercur Titan sub-bloodline.
Even if there were only traces of that bloodline visible in the Blood Orc Champion's Essence crystal, Dilan was pretty sure that the bloodline of the Apostles was denser. They couldn't be considered ordinary Demi Gods, let alone low-ranked Demi Gods such as everyone around him, excluding Rory. 𝑓𝒓𝚎e𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯𝘰𝐯𝒆𝑙.c𝚘m
Rory was a Mythical Creature and her body was further enhanced thanks to the influx of Dilan's Origin ability. This changed things a lot, providing her with enough power to fight one of the Orc's Apostles…probably. 𝒇𝘳𝐞𝚎𝓌𝑒𝑏𝒏𝑜𝙫ℯl.c𝚘𝒎
'I would have to see how strong they are…whether it's our group of chaotic kids or the Apostles…' Dilan mumbled but he began to smile instead of feeling demotivated, let alone afraid.
Other than Dilan and Siegfried, everyone present was a Demi God. With that in mind, Dilan was ready to fight two Apostles while the others should be capable of handling one…or at least stall some time.
"Don't you take us too lightly? We are not that weak…" One of the three Demi Gods, whom Dilan had saved just minutes earlier mentioned, "We were just overwhelmed by the sudden appearance of the Blood Orc Champion. Nobody expected the Berserk Roar of that monster to be so terrifying…except you…maybe…"
There were only four Demi Gods, who didn't belong to Dilan's group right now, one of them being Felicia. These, the three Demi Gods whom Dilan saved just a moment ago were the only Demi Gods of another faction, who had yet to understand that Dilan was far from ordinary, his mindset at least.
"Your name was Ben, the Berserker of your group, right?" Dilan asked lightly and the Demi God, Ben, nodded his head, not sure what Dilan wanted to do.
Yet, just when Ben wanted to ask something, Dilan's hand reached out for him. Dilan's smile crumbled just when he was about to reach Ben, who had yet to react.
His eyes turned crimson and a terrifying amount of killing intent and bloodlust manifested around Dilan. The bloodlust swirled around Ben in an instant, pressing on the Berserker, whose eyes widened in shock. However, it was no sooner than the killing intent pressed down on the Berserker's body and mind.
The intent created with the comprehension of death, his own death and the deaths he had caused, and the essence of combat impacted on Ben.
He was forced to his knees, his veins were bulging and he felt like he was getting choked. It was impossible for him to breathe and even his mana wasn't listening to him anymore.
Tears trickled down his cheeks without him realizing it an expression of terror emerged on his face. He was trying to grasp Dilan's stretched-out hand, to plead to him if necessary.
Yet, upon looking into Dilan's eyes, Ben froze in his tracks, his eyes losing focus.
Dilan looked at him with cold crimson eyes. It was as if a predator stared down at a helpless prey, wondering if it was even worth hunting it.
There was no fun hunting the prey he looked at, let alone any benefits in paying any attention to the prey that was worth nothing.
'I am…dying…' Ben realized, his mind slowly shutting off when the pressure around him disappeared all of a sudden, releasing the Berserker from the horrifying experience he went through.
And just a moment later, he collapsed on the ground.
"Maybe I overdid it a little…"
