Undying Warlord-Chapter 582 Welcome Back!
It was quite interesting to play around with his nephew.
Siegfried was quite a bit younger than Dilan but it looked almost like Dilan was the younger one in their duo.
Essence allowed one to slow down the aging process until one would finally stop aging. Demi Gods aged so slowly that they were already considered Immortals, but they would still age, even if it took tens of thousands of years until one would actually notice that.
Of course, there were also different factors to decide how fast one aged.
These factors included stress, pressure, and desperation…things that were normal to feel and see in the face of other humans in the era Siegfried was born and raised in. Thus, Siegfried matured quickly and he worked tirelessly to become stronger, giving him a touch of maturity.
And if that was not enough, Dilan didn't have a beard, which was the case for Siegfried.
As for other means that made clear why Siegfried's body was actually older than Dilan, there was one particular factor; the laws in the Realm of the Forgotten Time!
The City of Trials.
Dilan hadn't aged even a little in the City of Trials despite only being an Ascender at the third Tier.
He spent 10,000 years inside the City of Trials but his appearance hadn't changed in the slightest. At least, that was the case on the outside.
The fact that his attitude and even his stance made everyone feel as if he was a deadly weapon, a refined sword that could be unsheathed at any given moment, was not included. After all, it was a change in his personality and comprehension of various means, whether they were weapons, objects, or Elements of the vast Universe.
"Where are you guys currently residing?" Dilan asked all of a sudden when he had enough fun teasing his nephew and giving him the sight that ordinary mortals and even younger DemiGods were not supposed to see.
He got more serious, thinking about the time he hadn't been with his beloved and a grim expression appeared on his face. Siegfried looked at Dilan for a very long time, not sure what his Uncle was thinking.
He heard many things about his Dilan, the leader of the Undying Group, the strongest human from Milarn, and the person who disappeared before he was born.
Whenever his mother, aunts, and uncles talked about Dilan they were sad. They didn't like talking about his disappearance, and they would rather brag about their adventures with him or the achievements he made shortly after the Primordial Ascension had started.
His mother and aunt Marie would always smile gently when reminded of their brother before they would recall that Dilan was not with them anymore.
However, when Siegfried asked whether Dilan was dead or not, they couldn't answer. He was young at that time and couldn't really understand their silence…and even now, Siegfried didn't really understand what was going on.
It was great that Dilan had returned, but why now and not much earlier during the times they truly needed him.
In the end, it was quite obvious that they were still in need of his help, otherwise, they wouldn't have to face one of the humongous armies of the Sun God with a numerical disadvantage of one to ten.
Siegfried felt complicated when looking at his Uncle, especially when he witnessed the tremendous power Dilan had unleashed within a single minute.
'Well…I can think about that later…I guess…' His head was hurting at the various theories that flashed through his mind, and he noticed one thing that confused him the most… it was impossible for Siegfried to come up with any kind of theory that put Dilan in a bad spot!
Every theory he came up with was constructed in a way that showed Dilan's glorious attempts to escape the pits of hell to return to Milarn as quickly as possible.
Something like that formed in his mind when looking at the young and gently smiling man, who stood right in front of him.
"Our home is not too far away from here, you will be surprised. It's around here," Siegfried said after he had finally gotten back to his senses.
He pointed at a point high into the sky.
Dilan's eyes followed Siegfried's finger and he activated the Mystic Eyes while activating the eyes of the Blood Vyrm.
His sight increased while his eyes turned crimson, providing him with an even better vision.
"You mean the large flying island 1500 kilometers away from here? That's a pretty neat home," Dilan was quite surprised at the sight of the flying island.
There were already a few flying islands that had been formed out of the matured Chaos Islands, however, the one he saw through his Mystic Eyes was different. The flying island was much larger, covered from the sight of mortals through a dome that hid everything from the eyes of those who were not allowed to see it, and it was somewhat familiar.
"You can see the sanctum? What the… Just how good are your eyes to see through the Curtains of Invisibility??" Siegfried burst out loud, his eyes widening.
Dilan merely smiled in return before his eyes fell on Saxian, the Lesser Lightning Dragon.
"You didn't form a Soul Link with each other, right?" Dilan asked and both Saxian and Siegfried shook their head.
"I see. In that case, it makes sense that you don't understand why I see through the Curtains of Invisibility."
Dilan was just about to turn into the perfect replication of the Great Wise and deliver a feisty explanation of reasons why he could see the flying island when they were interrupted. 𝒇𝘳ℯℯ𝚠𝙚𝑏𝗻𝑜ѵ𝑒𝙡.co𝑚
A bunch of hoodlums, precisely Dilan's friends, were flying through the air as if they had been stung by a bunch of bees.
They were still a little bit away from their position but Dilan could already hear Rory's thunderous roar resonating with the Soul Fragment in his Soul Space.
'How troublesome…don't interrupt my first lesson to Siegfried!' Dilan thought inwardly, but his body thought otherwise as a vibrant smile appeared on his face.
"Welcome back!"
