Undying Warlord-Chapter 538 Survive?
"So let's summarize everything once again to make sure that we really have everything…" The Great Wise said for the sixth time before he pointed at the list in front of him.
"You will have to study a total of 1,162,497 Tomes in the library, the Destruction Sword Immortal will teach you his 72 Slashes of Destruction Sword Style, The Lightning Titan will teach you the Lightning God's Fist Martial Art, I, the Great Wise, will teach you the Perfect Essence Cultivation technique, Zephyr, the Demonized Roc, will teach you his movement technique, Zephyr Steps, and the Fallen Celestial will teach you about the Powers of the Ring of Infinite Elements, and how to wield them perfectly….
That leaves the Aura and Domain technique you wanted to learn, do you really need them?" The Great Wise asked after giving him a rundown of his to-do list. 𝘧r𝗲𝑒𝔀𝘦𝙗𝓃oν𝑒l.𝐜𝗼m
"I won't stop now that I'm already waiting in front of his goddamn house!!" Dilan shouted, causing the other Soul Shards to frown deeply.
A few months had already passed since Dilan had entered the City of Trials, but he had yet to start studying, whether it was one of the more than a million books he had to read and understand or one of the few techniques the Soul Shards were throwing at him.
All the Soul Shards whom he had accepted, and who had accepted him in return had gathered in front of a perfectly ordinary house.
There was nothing special about that house, not even its inhabitant. At least, that was what everyone thought because they had never seen the woman, who resided in the house.
Only Dilan had seen her once, which was more than enough reason for him to wait in front of her house, annoying the Soul Shards behind him to the core.
"If I start practicing the technique of others in front of her house, I will not only enrage her, but she will never teach me her technique!!" Dilan disregarded the impatience of the Soul Shards and he focused on his sincere feeling and desired to learn the technique he had seen one day when he was on his hunt for another technique.
Dilan had only seen a glimpse of her technique but that was more than enough for him to know that it was possible to create, control and fuse the power of both Auras and Domains, and unleash it in a single powerful strike to kill his opponent!
He didn't know the name of the technique the woman had wielded, but he wanted to know every single bit about it. And if it was necessary, Dilan would wait a few more years until she would give in to his annoyance.
Dilan knocked hard on the door, tapping his knuckles on the wood that creaked due to the pressure. It looked as if the door would break at any moment, but nothing like that actually happened.
"Miss One Strike to Kill, I would like to learn your technique…please teach your powerful technique to me!!" Dilan shouted at the top of his lungs, but there was no response.
There was not a single sound from within the house, which was exactly the same as it had been in the last few months. However, Dilan was not affected by that in the slightest.
If a little setback was already enough to shake him, he would have long since left the house to learn the techniques the other Soul Shards were willing to teach him. There were enough Soul Shards, who were ready to teach him about Auras and Domains separately.
Unfortunately, the separated tutelage was not something Dilan wanted to take advantage of. He wanted to get to know the combined force of the technique he had seen only once.
"Just how powerful is the technique that you are so adamant about obtaining? Do you really think that you will need the technique to defeat the Veilures? I fought them in the past when the first Veil outbreak occurred, and I can tell you that all the techniques you're learning are strong enough to fight against Prymordial Veilures as long as you train the techniques and achieve mastery in their peak form!" The Destruction Sword Immortal suggested.
He was slowly losing his patience with Dilan, and that was quite difficult to achieve for any kind of being. He had been patient since his Soul Shard entered the City of Trials, yet, the appearance of one human being was enough to make his patience crumble.
"If I manage to successfully combine the techniques you guys teach me, I will be able to defeat most opponents…I guess. But this one is just for my curiosity. I don't care enough about the Veilures, the Veils or the safety of the Universe to sacrifice myself.
I just want to make sure that my family is safe. As for the rest…the Universe might have chosen me and someone else to rescue it, but who said that I agreed to protect it?" Dilan deadpanned.
He knew that the Universe had to survive for his home and friends to stay alive as well. This was a basic necessity and something Dilan had to pay attention to. However, he didn't want to rush anything, just to please someone else.
If he wanted to get his hands on something, Dilan would achieve it one way or another. Right now he was certain that he was in need of a technique much stronger than all other techniques he had witnessed until now, and that was something the technique of the woman could achieve.
It might be a technique with big backlashes or other downsides, but his interest was piqued, which was more than enough for him.
"Would you use the technique even if it might kill you?" All of a sudden, the voice of a woman rang through the rows of Soul Shards.
Dilan didn't realize that it was a new voice as he answered the question quite nonchalantly, "I have the power of endless regeneration. I was smashed by an enormous meteorite that possessed the Power of a Tier-4 attack when I was still at Tier-2, and I was cut in almost ten pieces and holes were drilled in my chest and face when I was at the third Tier.
What makes you think I cannot survive after I advance in the Tiers? When I leave this place, I will be a Tier-4 Ascender, and I am pretty sure that my Undying Powers will be much stronger by then!"
Dilan knew that he was bragging a lot right now, in front of existences that had already been True Gods in the past, but he didn't really care.
Most of them were probably dead in the outside world and Dilan was pretty sure that many of them had already been forgotten.
Furthermore, it felt great to finally brag about the things he achieved in the past.
It might not have been a lot in the eyes of the True Gods, but for himself, it was a lot and more than enough to be proud of!
"Can you survive if your Soul gets devoured?" The same feminine voice asked another question, attracting Dilan's interest.
"Of course, I can…"
