Unbreakable-Chapter 96 - Entire World (2)
Chapter 96: Entire World (2)
The change took place immediately. Casita’s needles were all removed and took the other world structures and beings with it. Everything ended up in ruins, but they found their old civilization from down below, and then the children were born.
“When the illumination starts, you can never become pregnant no matter how many times you do it. Your biological ability to get pregnant will disappear.”
It was only after the world completed the illumination that pregnancy was allowed and new children were born with the corruption inherently in them. However, the children in Emmanoel’s world were born without corruption.
“It’s not too bad, isn’t it?”
“…Honestly, yeah.” Dohyuk agreed. Emmanoel didn’t seem too proud about it, but whatever the case, she successfully saved her world in the end.
“Yeah, the current generation of children have the same thoughts as you. They know the history because I taught them, but unlike the other worlds, we at least get to keep our purity.”
However…
“…Our world is ruined.”
Emmanoel then took out something from an inner pocket within her clothes. There were a few gold coins.
“…Coins?”
“Yeah, ‘the’ coin you know. We have the right to materialize it like this and transfer them over to others. And…”
When Emmanoel mumbled something, the coins disappeared from her hand. Then, her messed up tent was instantly restored. All the ripped carpets and destroyed furniture and ornaments returned to their rightful places.
“We can use this way too. Coins are actually particles of Casita’s power that is divided into bits of pieces. You and your people only know how to use the coins to increase your stats, but if you know how, you can do anything with these coins. Fix things, heal people… or make the land prosper again.”
Dohyuk understood it right away, especially in terms of his godly power and faith. It seemed that Casita could change that into the form of a coin to use in a different way. Emmanoel turned to the entrance of the tent.
“It’s really beautiful outside. Thanks to the coins, we were able to rebuild our civilization. But if we don’t keep getting more coins…”
“What happens then?”
“Our world will become barren and people will starve in less than a decade. But of course… I’m sure it won’t happen if we stay as his part of the gear.”
She sat down on the seat again, looking somewhat tired.
“We are all slaves in the end. We have our wings, but we’re still inside the cage… And – that is the answer to your question. Was it enough, customer?”
Dohyuk nodded.
“You mentioned that you were curious about how the gods will react when they obtain the information about you killing Casita? And you decided to leave it be until you face the situation? I think you are right.”
Before Dohyuk could follow up with a question, Emmanoel continued talking.
“Not all, but a lot of those stupid gods will know of you and what happened. Think about it though. Do you think it makes their work any different?”
“…”
All gods, other than Casita, had one purpose. They helped Casita with his illumination and retrieve faith in return. In that sense, it was probably ‘surprising’ to know that Dohyuk killed Casita, but that was it.
“…It doesn’t change what they need to do.”
“Right. It’s actually better for them as they can gather faith from talented individuals. It’s not like they will think otherwise or make different plans because of it.”
In fact, the return of Dohyuk and his world was actually a proof of Casita’s almighty-ness. It was evidence that Casita was powerful enough to turn back time to ‘unkill’ himself even.
“The illumination is in full force… just a bit different than before. That’s all.”
She stopped and put her lips on her water pipe again.
“But there are two big differences that we need to focus on from our previous lives relative to our current one.”
She spoke as she raised a finger and pointed at Dohyuk.
“First.”
“Me?”
“Yeah. You already f*cked the gods and sold their symbols to us to f*ck them up even more. I don’t know how you did it, but you probably won’t tell me even if I did ask. Nonetheless, you definitely have something ‘special’ that the others don’t.”
“…”
“And you probably couldn’t even guess the second… wait just a minute.”
She stopped and puffed on her pipe. As she slowly took a drag from her pipe, Dohyuk spoke.
“You’re talking about the objects that Casita does not control. The relics of those who resisted the illumination like you.”
“POOF!!”
She paid her price as she coughed up steam from her nose and mouth. “H-how did you-”
“I have something like that already.”
“How many?!”
Dohyuk hesitated and answered, “You probably can’t guess how many.”
“…Hah, you might have a good poker face, but you aren’t good at bluffing.”
Emmanoel still seemed surprised. “You sure you don’t have any memories?”
“I wish that wasn’t true every single day.” Dohyuk lamented the fact. “Anyway, you have something similar too then?”
“…I did. The ones I studied, and the ones that I ‘collected’.”
“Did? You don’t have them anymore?”
“He took everything from me when I lost. They probably have ‘S’ rank written all over them and are floating around somewhere.”
“…”
“Don’t be disappointed.” Emmanoel smiled, “Even if I had… you are in a position to collect much more.”
Dohyuk understood what she was getting at now.
“I think a few of those relics are probably hidden within one world.”
Many worlds would not have those relics. It was rare for any world to have people like Emmanoel, Blass, or Dohyuk resisting against Casita in the first place.
“But your world right now…”
“There’s a whole bunch of worlds that exist right now at the same moment.”
“Exactly.”
There was a good chance that Earth was within the larger world that Casita had invaded.
“Do you realize it now? Isn’t it exciting? Your world is like one giant armory.”
“…”
Dohyuk was excited, but he wasn’t a type to have his excitement cloud his judgment. First, he wasn’t sure if he could trust the person in front of him and…
“…Even if they exist, how can I find them?”
It was a logical question. But-
“Like this?”
The response arrived in less than a few seconds.
