Chapter 169: Got it all wrong

That was the start. The smell that everyone was aware of, made people think it was amusing. And it also somehow relaxed them.

<<Killed Rockstorm Worm>>

Dohyuk stood up and saw several Rockstorm Worms charging in. But they were much smaller than the one Dohyuk just killed.

“You should’ve taken everything out at once.”

Dohyuk grinned as he can see the anger of Antem from losing the chance of an ambush. The worms didn’t move on their own. They moved in order to begin to create a rock storm. When they got closer, rocks were thrown forward at the wall. The rocks had no effect on Dohyuk, but it was still dangerous for the people.

‘So, you’re after the city?’ Dohyuk thought. Even if he was strong, there was a limit to how many he could stop.

“I guess I should let go of the things I can’t do.”

He lowered his body to run out. Antem had probably prepared more. Dohyuk didn’t even get to see his followers yet. He couldn’t waste his time fighting these worms. As for the one directly in front of him. He was going to kick it to kill it and run past it.

As Dohyuk passed by them, worms jumped up onto Dohyuk.

Dohyuk jumped up and spat out the barricade. Tens of meter-long spiral metal pillars soared from the ground. It wasn’t supposed to be used against the Rockstorm Worms as it was to protect the ‘army’ trying to run up the wall. It was just a pillar getting in the way of the people, but it worked perfectly against the worms. These worms were all struck by the pillars. The pillars didn’t kill them although the worms had been penetrated, and some even dodged the pillars. Even then, it was enough.

As they began writhing to escape, their bodies began tangle with one another, and they began killing each other with their bodies.

Dohyuk jumped out as he killed one of the worms. Before he landed, he eyed the next target. There were humans coming right at him.

They were probably the main army. Their plan was to wait until the worms destroyed the wall and move into the city to pillage and massacre afterward.

“So, you’ve been confused.”

Dohyuk ran toward his enemies.

On land, a weird distorted shadow moved through and stopped in the middle of two rocks. Soon, it revealed its color and shape.

“Ugh…”

It was Dohyuk. It was another Dohyuk rather than the one fighting outside. He had ‘Scope’ in his hand and was drenched in sweat with the white feather coat.

<<Deactivating ‘Colored lizard’s magic’>>

Someone within the city wielded the magic to make him invisible by camouflaging with the area. However, it still left a shadowy figure. Dohyuk also used the coat to hide himself to not let anyone notice that he had snuck in. There was no way for Antem to find this Dohyuk.

‘Let’s see…’

Dohyuk began moving to the underground tunnel. He had to be careful. He needed to hold the scope in one of his hands. Under normal circumstances, one Dohyuk would hold the Scope while the other would search for it. However, the other Dohyuk was at war. All of his concentration was given to controlling that Dohyuk first.

‘I have to set the priorities.’

War was the first. Finding the relic was only secondary. If something bad happened outside, he needed to run out to help. He was doing this because sometimes, he’d be disappointed. He invaded many regions and he did find many relics, but they were all useless.

That’s why he wasn’t hopeful. It was more like buying a lottery ticket. He soon walked across the cavern and reached a large room. It had a leveled floor. Dohyuk looked up. It was about the size of a soccer field with a hexagonal shape and all organized things in dust.

‘It’s not for living…’

It didn’t seem like anything had a purpose. The scope was still pointing forward. Dohyuk began to move. However, he didn’t need the scope. As soon as he got into the room, there was a blue light shining from afar.

It was a round, crystal orb, 4 meters in diameter, that was fastened on a dish-shaped altar. There was a lot of branches like human neurosensors filled within. Only the center branches were shining in blue, but it was very faint.

“Hmmm.”

It seemed like the blue light was the relic that brought him here. Dohyuk also felt slight energy within it.

‘But… it’s too weak.’

If this was the only thing he could get his hands on, this time was a failure too. Dohyuk walked over and looked at it closely.

‘…Roots?’

As he thought that, a root was sent out from the pillar to the ground, and to all of the things in the room. As he moved, his elbow touched the orb.

“…!”

A sound came from within and Dohyuk backed away. In just about two seconds, Dohyuk was out of breath as if he had run at full speed for hours. He felt his energy half drained from within. It wasn’t hard to guess where it went. The blue light from the orb wasn’t faint anymore. It now filling 1/3 of the orb in bright light.

The room itself began to move then. A light was turned on. Dohyuk glanced around at the complicated machinery moving and realized that the ‘main character’ here was not the orb.

‘This is…’

It was a factory, a factory that used the orb to be its energy source to create something.

‘If this is a factory…’

Dohyuk then began to where the production line ended.

‘What is it creating…’

And the question answered shortly enough. A ‘completed product’ popped out.
