Chapter 784: Chapter 784: The Sealed Truth (Part 4)

Old Master pursed his lips and said no more.

He knew he had frightened the little girl, but did this truly look like her? Or not? It clearly did.

Anyway, without finding what he wanted, Old Master did not wish to stay here too long.

The little girl was obviously a bit out of sorts; better to leave this place and then talk.

"Miss Niannian is half right and half wrong," Old Master furrowed his brow as he met the girl beside him’s gaze.

"Grandpa, can you stop being so cryptic?" Xia Yinian was amused by him.

"No," Old Master firmly shook his head, "Let’s go back, I forgot to eat breakfast."

"How could you forget breakfast?" Xia Yinian frowned.

Seeing the old man’s comfortable smile, she also felt at ease.

Ten minutes later, the elder and the young one sat in the main house’s dining hall for breakfast.

"Old Master, Doctor Yang said that it’s time for your treatment to begin this year, and we’re running short on time," Feng Rui reminded softly from behind Old Master.

"Treatment? What treatment?" Xia Yinian turned and glanced at Feng Rui.

"Old Master needs to go to the deep mountains every year after the start of autumn for a few days of recuperation. If it weren’t for Miss Niannian being here, Old Master would have already left."

"With Mid-Autumn Festival approaching, Doctor Yang is urging quite urgently, Old Master, we can’t miss the timing," Feng Rui looked at the person in front of him with a sense of urgency.

"Grandpa, why didn’t you say something so important?" Xia Yinian frowned.

"Isn’t Grandpa worried that Niannian will go back after I leave?" Old Master pursed his lips. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

"If I go back, you can’t miss the timing for the treatment," Xia Yinian looked at him and sighed silently.

"Uncle Rui, when can we schedule it?" She turned to look at Feng Rui again.

"Everything has been arranged; as soon as Old Master is available, we can depart immediately," Feng Rui replied softly.

"Grandpa," Xia Yinian called out to Old Master.

"Alright, let’s go tomorrow," Old Master furrowed his brow.

"Old Master..." Feng Rui wanted to say more, but knew he had said too much.

"If possible, today," Xia Yinian seemed to understand Feng Rui’s thoughts.

"Grandpa, let’s go today. If my coming to the Feng Family has delayed your treatment, I will leave right now."

She really didn’t know about this, otherwise, she would have encouraged Grandpa to leave earlier.

Perhaps it was Grandpa who told Uncle Rui not to tell her, and that’s why she didn’t know.

Now that Uncle Rui brought it up suddenly, it must mean the situation is quite urgent.

"Don’t leave, Niannian. Grandpa will go today," Old Master agreed reluctantly,

"Okay, I’ll accompany Grandpa to the hospital in a bit, and we’ll leave immediately," Xia Yinian nodded.

"Mmm, I’ll listen to Niannian," Old Master nodded his head.

At this crucial time, he really didn’t want to leave; there was still so much left undone.

But if he missed this time for treatment, he didn’t even know if he could sit up during winter. Truly, old age was not useful.

Old Master knew that to figure this matter out, his body must stay in the best condition, so this trip was unavoidable.

...

Xia Yinian didn’t expect that upon arriving at the hospital, she would actually run into Chi He.

People always said that wherever Chi He could be seen, Seventh Young Master would likely be there too, and Xia Yinian also thought this.

However, this was a hospital, and if possible, she did not wish to see Uncle.

"Chi He," Xia Yinian called out, not quietly.

But, it seemed like she really didn’t see Uncle...
