Chapter 562: Chapter 562: Always in My Heart 12

After a whole day of turmoil, Ye Shushu was genuinely tired. π—³πš›π—²π•–πš πšŽπš‹π—»π—Όπ•§π—²π₯.𝚌𝚘𝐦

Walking along behind the person in front, she had no idea how many times she yawned.

Thankfully, there was a bit of a distance between the two of them; Senior Mo probably couldn’t hear.

At the edge of the small path, Gu Feimo stopped in his tracks.

But Ye Shushu didn’t notice and continued forward.

Suddenly feeling a chill in the air ahead, she abruptly stopped.

Lifting her gaze to the figure less than a meter away, Ye Shushu blinked, took two steps forward, and reached Gu Feimo’s side.

"Senior Mo, what are you... doing?"

"Gu Feimo, I’ve finally caught you alone." Suddenly, a low and unpleasant voice came from ahead.

It was only then that Ye Shushu realized their path was blocked.

"What, out on a date?" the man continued.

Seeing the dozen men in front of her wielding weapons, Ye Shushu’s sleepiness vanished in an instant.

Were it not for fear, she might have dwelled on the mention of dating.

But with so many people blocking their way and directly addressing Senior Mo’s name, what does it mean? A fight?

"Senior Mo." Ye Shushu turned her head to look at Gu Feimo.

"Stay here and don’t move," Gu Feimo left those words behind, and approached alone.

"Men from the Gu Family are indeed different."

The leader gestured, and a dozen men raised the objects in their hands and charged.

Ye Shushu was terribly frightened, intending to scream for help, but realized there was no one else around.

Senior Mo was alone, up against a dozen men, all armed - what could be done?

Ye Shushu stood there, utterly panicked.

A mere dozen men, Gu Feimo didn’t take them seriously at all.

Soon, the sound of pained cries filled the air.

Seeing Gu Feimo gaining the upper hand, Ye Shushu felt somewhat reassured.

Right! Call the police; she was too nervous just now and had completely forgotten.

The enemy’s boss, realizing something was off, narrowed his eyes, fixing his gaze on the girl behind.

Ye Shushu was about to dial the emergency number, thus didn’t notice the danger approaching.

Suddenly, a flash of silver, and only then did she react.

Looking up at the long knife slashing toward her, Ye Shushu screamed, tossed away the phone, and immediately raised both hands to protect her head.

Her right hand was raised, but as she moved her left, sharp pain shot through her shoulder, bringing tears nearly to her eyes.

But now was not the time to worry about her arm, was this knife going to be the end?

With a "whoosh", the sound of blade cutting flesh sounded, yet the expected pain didn’t follow.

As Ye Shushu looked up, she just heard a terrible scream; the man from before was kicked away by Senior Mo.

The man knocked over his two accomplices before collapsing.

"Boss." At the entrance, a group of people was sprinting towards them.

Ye Shushu hid behind Gu Feimo, not daring to come out.

This "Boss," how would she know if it was calling the enemy’s boss or Senior Mo?

She glanced at the phone on the ground and quickly picked it up.

"Senior Mo, should we call the police?"

"No need, my men are here," Gu Feimo stated indifferently, "Let’s go, I’ll take you home."

Ye Shushu blinked, was it already time to leave? She had thought just a moment ago...

Those dozen or so men were quickly subdued as two men ran over.

"Boss, you’re actually injured?" Don’t blame him for being surprised, there were only a dozen of them.

Is there a mistake? Could these small fries actually injure their boss? Did the boss not have dinner tonight?
