Twisted Dreams-Chapter 106 - 78: God Creation Organization Evolvers Shocked by the Ruins
An adapted seven-seater SUV kicked up dust, driving in the wilderness like a steel beast.
Blonde foreigners with blue eyes sat inside the car; they were the evolvers of the God Creation Organization.
Lilith sat in the co-driver’s seat of the front car, her gaze deep, pondering something unknown.
Two men sat in the back seat, whispering to each other.
"Xia Country has supernatural humans, how is that possible?"
"Lilith said so, whether you believe it or not, you have to."
"I think she’s just making excuses for her failed mission."
"Keep your voice down; you’ll be in trouble if she hears you."
"What’s there to fear? Last time’s failure destined Lilith’s failure.
She’ll eventually be replaced by Lady Diana.
Don’t forget the cost of being replaced."
All these words were heard by Lilith, but she wasn’t angry; she closed her eyes and said:
"No matter if you believe it or not, the South Sea truly has supernatural humans; I’ve faced one."
Lilith’s mind was filled with the image of that dim street at night, and that woman who could control a flood dragon.
And... she had been beaten into retreat.
Lilith’s face showed a trace of displeasure and a hint of fear, she continued:
"There have been supernatural events at the Great Compassion Temple, there must be supernatural humans appearing, so you need to be cautious."
The two men in the backseat almost burst into laughter.
Is Lilith too deep into her role?
One of the men said:
"I think our biggest opponent is the Xia Country law enforcement bureau.
As long as they don’t block the mountain, it’s all good.
Lady Lilith, information can’t be spoken recklessly."
Lilith no longer spoke, closing her eyes for rest.
...
The SUV finally arrived at the mountain veiled in a milky-white fog.
A sheriff had set up post at the foot of the mountain.
The SUV circled around the mountain, searching for a spot without a sheriff.
Through the haze, it seemed like there was a dense forest path.
This fog was immense and strange; once in, it’s hard to get out.
The sheriff posted here merely to prevent ordinary people from mistakenly entering.
Such dense forest paths, or cliffs, had no sheriffs because ordinary people wouldn’t choose such places to enter the mountain.
"Xia Country still doesn’t prioritize this area.
Didn’t they say there were supernatural events?
They didn’t even block this place," one evolver sneered.
Lilith shook her head:
"This just proves that the fog isn’t ordinary; Xia Country sheriffs are very wary of it."
The evolvers disembarked and proceeded along the small path into the mountain.
Upon entering the dense fog, the evolvers immediately sensed something was off.
Nothing was visible here!
Their electronic devices also failed.
Lilith nervously said:
"Gather together, don’t get separated."
The evolvers were encountering such a supernatural phenomenon for the first time, nodding, huddling together, even hand in hand, advancing slowly.
Truly, Xia Country is a fascinating eastern nation!
At this moment, everyone heard an extremely delightful long whistle.
"Hahahahaha, disciple, follow me! Great opportunity! Great opportunity!"
The crowd froze momentarily, looking toward the source of the sound.
They saw an old man in a tattered Daoist robe, running on grass tips, jumping among branches, rushing toward a direction.
"Master, wait for me!"
A man in his thirties looked helpless, his figure agile like a monkey in the forest, quickly catching up to the old man.
The evolvers were completely baffled.
Is this real!
These evolvers, who had been injected with countless resources and spent so many US Dollars, could only move cautiously in this forest.
Yet the old man’s and his disciple’s presence, with seemingly weak vitality, could unabashedly run here.
Moreover, their way of moving was so unique!
Supernatural humans!
There really are supernatural humans!
Lilith’s face turned grim:
"Sure enough, supernatural humans have appeared.
Looks like they’re headed to a place with treasure."
She closed her eyes, her mouth slightly agape, an unheard unusual sound wave spreading out.
Lilith had radar-like equipment in her body, able to determine surrounding conditions through echo.
Lilith opened her eyes, pointed in a direction, and said:
"Let’s go there!
Remember, be cautious.
Avoid conflict with supernatural humans as much as possible!"
That place was precisely the entrance to the ruins.
An evolver murmured:
"They’re just more agile, surely can’t fight."
In foreign culture, the stronger the physique, the stronger the vitality, the stronger one is.
They can’t understand "using a small force to move a great weight," let alone cultivation?
As the group hastened their pace towards that side, hoofbeats sounded from behind.
People still ride horses in this era?
They turned around, filled with horror!
They saw a small little golden monkey riding an old horse, laughing, galloping in a direction.
The evolvers looked at each other.
What situation is this!
Foreigners who hadn’t read Xia Country mythology couldn’t possibly understand the word "demon."
An evolver slapped his thigh:
"Have you seen Rise of the Planet of the Apes?!
That must be an evolving monkey like those!
We should capture it!"
Lilith gave the evolver a look as if watching a fool:
"Things are strange, don’t complicate matters, hurry up!"
There was a nervous undertone in her voice.
At this moment, that little golden monkey riding the old horse unexpectedly turned back.
The Heartless Little Monkey grabbed the old horse’s mane, leaning half its body out of the horse’s neck:
"What are you guys?"
The evolvers were shocked.
The monkey spoke!
The Heartless Little Monkey looked puzzled:
"You all have a strong smell of blood; you’ve done a lot of bad things, haven’t you?"
Two brainless evolvers showed greed in their eyes.
This little monkey seems to have a lot of research value.
The two evolvers bent low and slowly approached the Heartless Little Monkey.
Lilith exclaimed:
"No!"
The two evolvers turned and smiled:
"Such a small one, no need for Lady Lilith to personally handle it."
In their tales, the more robust the physique, the stronger they are.
How much combat strength could such a small monkey have?
As the words finished, the two felt a burning sensation in their chests.
Puzzled, they looked down to find flames igniting on their chests!
Quickly turning back, they saw the little monkey looking at them with a mocking smile.
Importantly, the little monkey was entirely engulfed in flames!
The Heartless Little Monkey wore a look of satisfaction:
"You guys are indeed big villains; killing you has increased my Spiritual Power a lot!"
Lilith shouted:
"Run quickly! Go towards twelve o’clock! After losing the monkey, head toward five o’clock! Don’t take the wrong path!"
Upon hearing the words, everyone reacted, frantically racing toward twelve o’clock.
The Heartless Little Monkey thought about chasing but looked back, struggled for a while, then muttered:
"Oh well, seeking opportunity is more urgent!"
...
The evolvers had shaken off the monkey and gathered uneasily at the ancient tomb entrance.
"What was that!" A female evolver hugged herself, eyes full of fear:
"Xia Country is terrifying!"
Lilith glanced at her:
"From now on, absolutely follow my orders!
Returning without achievements is out of the question; you know my father’s temper!"
The evolvers nodded repeatedly.
Lilith solemnly looked at the entrance of the ancient tomb:
"I can sense many monsters in this mountain.
Combined with the fog that can make people lose their way, ordinary people absolutely can’t enter.
This mountain is filtering the personnel entering the entrance.
I guess there must be many supernatural humans inside!"
