Twins Reunite: Bringing Mom and Dad Together!-Chapter 937: Tell Her to Have Some Self-Respect
As Thomas Quincy was in a daze, Nancy Nash continued to cry.
She wept sorrowfully while trying to snuggle into his arms, seeking comfort.
Thomas furrowed his brows instinctively, a trace of disgust flashing in his eyes.
It seemed he truly disliked other women.
He didn’t even want her close. What was going on?
Thomas pushed her away and said, "Don’t provoke her. I’ll handle this matter."
Nancy’s crying halted abruptly, and she looked at Thomas in surprise.
Was he protecting Clara Thornton?
What did he mean by provoke?
She had merely told her to leave; didn’t Thomas want a divorce?
Fury surged within Nancy, but realizing the rarity of the moment, she suppressed her unusual feelings.
She placed her hand on Thomas’s firm chest and said, "Thomas, let’s be together. As soon as Clara knows about us, she’ll definitely leave you."
Thomas remained calm and pushed Nancy away, saying, "Have some self-respect. Don’t belittle yourself like this. If you really want something, wait until I’ve divorced Clara."
What? Have some self-respect?
Nancy was repeatedly shocked, unable to comprehend why, despite Thomas’s apparent affection, he still refused to touch her.
Could it be he still had feelings for Clara?
Impossible!
The love spell’s effects were strong; Thomas couldn’t possibly feel for Clara anymore.
Nancy looked at Thomas with grievance and said, "But divorce seems so distant. Do you want me to wait forever? This is the fastest way."
After speaking, she began to remove her clothing.
Thomas frowned, reached out to pull her clothes back, and said, "Nancy, be patient with me. I’ve promised you I’ll get a divorce. Please don’t rush, okay?"
Nancy looked on the verge of tears.
She couldn’t believe she’d been so forward, yet Thomas felt nothing. She could sense he didn’t want to touch her.
But the last time, Thomas had so many marks on him; he had been with Clara!
Why was it like this? Was she not as good as Clara?
Thomas pushed Nancy outwards and said, "Nancy, you’re the eldest daughter of The Nash Family. Be mindful of your words and actions. Don’t do such things, or people will gossip."
Nancy clung to him, "Do you really not want to touch me?"
Thomas frowned, a flicker of emotion in his eyes. He spoke coldly, "If you keep this up, I’ll be angry."
After saying that, Thomas shut the door after pushing her out.
Nancy stood outside, clenching her fists tightly, her cheeks burning red.
She had slapped herself hard earlier, hoping it would punish Clara, but instead, she was the one thrown out by Thomas.
Damn it! How could it end up like this!
Nancy’s expression turned grim, her chest full of unquiet rage threatening to explode.
After a moment, Nancy reluctantly turned and left.
The situation was naturally reported back to Eleanor Sterling and Clara Thornton. When they heard that Nancy had been driven out by Thomas, they burst into laughter together.
"Eleanor, your plan really worked. It seems Thomas doesn’t want to deal with that woman."
Eleanor’s lips curled into a brilliant smile as she nodded, "I think even though Thomas was under a spell, it’s not beyond hope."
Clara snorted, "Hmph, if he really switched sides, I don’t want him anymore. But his current performance is good enough, so I’ll reluctantly forgive him."
Eleanor looked at Clara like this and couldn’t help but shake her head.
The two of them, what a pair of feuding lovers.
