Hearing footsteps, everyone in Mia Lane’s office looked up, only to see David Dalton coming in with a cake.
"Hello, President Dalton." The five designers stood up to greet him, showing great respect.
"Sit, sit down." David Dalton was not the least bit imposing, "Are you getting used to working here?"
"We are, we are. Thank you for your concern, President Dalton."
"If there’s anything you’re not used to, or anything you need, always remember to tell me!" David Dalton genuinely wanted to serve everyone well.
And this kind attitude was felt by everyone.
David Dalton approached Mia Lane and placed the cake on her desk.
"President Lane, I didn’t know what kind of pastries you like, but this cake is from the shop across the street. It’s very famous. Every day after work, there’s a long queue. It’s perfect for the six of you, not too wasteful, and there’s plenty for everyone."
He was like a kind father, smiling, making President Lane feel touched, even a bit lost for a moment.

Everyone gathered around casually since it was just them.

Everyone took a piece, the aroma sweet and fragrant.
Tasting it, the cream wasn’t greasy at all; it melted in their mouths. Everyone complimented it as delicious.
Mia Lane also picked up a piece of cake and took a small bite.
The flavor... instantly brought back her childhood memories, tasting exactly like the cakes her dad used to bring home.
The egg flavor was strong, very fragrant.
