Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 964: Investigating the Truth
The little wife rarely made requests of him.
Refusing her on the first request didn’t seem right, so Justin Kingston thought carefully, "How about I consider it?"
"Alright!"
Mia Lane happily cupped his handsome face and gave him a hard kiss on the forehead!
"The new toothbrush you prepared last night was really useful, thank you!" she said with a big, cheerful smile.
"You’re welcome," Justin Kingston’s voice was gentle and pleasant, "It’s about time we switched to couples’ toothbrushes."
They shared a smile, and the office was filled with a warm and sweet atmosphere.
Dalton family villa.
After having breakfast with his family, David Dalton asked in puzzlement, "Where’s Anthea? Why haven’t I seen her?"
"Oh, don’t mention it," Joan Graham was a bit upset, "On her second day of work, she said she had a stomach ache. It’s a chronic condition, so she probably won’t come back, didn’t even ask for a night’s pay, and now we have to find someone new again."
Gone?
This made David Dalton feel a slight unease, increasingly suspecting something about Anthea.
"Dad." Grace Dalton, donned in a pink princess dress, glanced out the window and reminded, "Trevor is here to pick you up."
David Dalton glanced out the window, said nothing, and went upstairs under his family’s watchful eyes.
Entering the study, he opened the drawer; the Jade Pendant was still there.
So, was Anthea only here to take the toothbrush?
With doubts in mind, David Dalton went downstairs, feeling today he must find out what was going on.
Trevor drove over to pick him up, "Good morning, President Dalton." In the lush green yard, he opened the car door for him.
"Good morning, have you eaten?"
"Yes, I have."
David Dalton got into the car, and as it started, he took out a tablet to continue checking the surveillance.
He finally discovered that three minutes past midnight, Anthea went out the door.
The surveillance footage immediately switched to the yard, and David Dalton clearly saw a bicycle outside the villa!
Anthea handed the toothbrush to the man on the bicycle.
The man didn’t stay a second, took the toothbrush, and immediately pedaled away.
So cautious.
Because driving makes noise and there are headlights, it’s easier to be noticed!
"Who is this man?"
David Dalton had this doubt in his heart, "Could he be one of Justin Kingston’s people?"
Frowning slightly, he turned his gaze to the window, eager to know the answer.
Justin Kingston’s reaction that day was too unusual...
To get to the bottom of the truth, he took a screenshot of the scene where the man appeared and sent it to Trevor as soon as he returned to the company.
"Help me check along the way for this person; I want to know what he did with the toothbrush," David Dalton said, "And ultimately, whom he contacted, I want his identity information."
"Yes."
Trevor, who had been cultivated by David Dalton for many years, was the person he trusted most so far.
This person was calm, serious, elegant, and generous, with a very clean background and very strong ability to get things done, never having many friends, always centering around David Dalton.
About half an hour later—
"President Dalton."
Trevor came in from the doorway, and David Dalton put down the files in his hands, sitting at his desk.
His office was more like a study, somewhat vintage but very spacious, probably an old generation’s style, and he was already fifty years old.
"Have you found out?" David Dalton asked.
Trevor nodded, without any documents in hand, standing in front of the desk reporting—
"This man’s name is Jerry Garcia; he used to work for CEO Kingston’s mother. Recently, with Nathan Garcia in trouble, Special Assistant Morgan being quite busy, Jerry Garcia has become CEO Kingston’s trusted aide."
"As expected, related to Justin Kingston," he had guessed, "What about the toothbrush? Did he run a test?"
"He went into the DNA testing center overnight," Trevor said, "But it’s impossible to find out whose sample it was compared with; the records have been deleted, and the staff member has resigned. Each one holds their tongue, probably because CEO Kingston paid them to seal their lips."
This fits well with Justin Kingston’s style, cautious.
