Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1052: Testify for Trevor
"Honey..." the woman cried, asking him, "Do you not believe it?"
David Garcia looked at the fresh blood staining her body, then at the blood dripping outside the emergency room door, imagining how serious Sean Dalton’s injury must be.
"Honey, but I saw it with my own eyes!" Joan Graham clutched his arm, crying to the point of collapse, "Even though I don’t know why he did it, he just did..."
David Garcia supported her arm, helped her stand steady, then took two steps back.
"David..." Joan Graham was terrified, what did he mean by this?
David Garcia met her gaze, trying to discern something from her eyes, "A ploy to gain sympathy, right?" It was the only thing he could think of.
"What?" Joan Graham was stunned.
"You know I want to take Stella home, and you don’t want to face the truth of why she left years ago, so you staged this act, didn’t you?"
"Heaven and earth, my conscience!" Joan Graham was in a panic, explaining in confusion, "David Garcia, would I joke around with my own daughter’s life?!"
David Garcia’s face was thinly veiled with anger, holding back from an outburst; he didn’t believe Trevor would do this.
At this moment, Trevor was taken to the police station, undergoing interrogation.
He wasn’t afraid at all; his tall and slender figure sat there, exuding an aura.
He had the attitude of someone righteous, unafraid of shadows.
He deeply regretted going to embrace Sean Dalton, getting himself stained with dirty blood, and wasting time at the police station.
"Should have let her bleed out and die in that alley," Trevor mumbled softly.
"What did you say? Say it again." The policeman stared at him, "Answer honestly!"
Trevor chuckled, "I said it’s hard to be a good person; I regret not turning a blind eye and letting her die at her mother’s hands—it would be much better that way."
"Her mother?" The policeman asked, "What do you mean? Explain clearly." 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
"Thief cries thief," Trevor replied casually.
The two interrogating officers exchanged glances, and one asked, "Do you have any other witnesses?"
"Justin Kingston’s wife," Trevor answered, "Oh, and Justin Kingston himself was at the scene."
CEO Kingston??
The two policemen dared not conduct a reckless interrogation!
It seemed this Trevor had significant ties to the Kingston family.
So the policeman hurriedly said, "Call CEO Kingston right now, let them come over and clarify things, and you can be released without charges."
Fortunately, Trevor had saved Mia Lane’s number due to work reasons.
So he dialed her number.
At this moment, Justin Kingston and Mia Lane were having dinner at the Dalton family, but Mia was distracted, worried about the situation at the hospital and whether her father would come home tonight.
Then, Trevor’s call came in. Seeing the caller ID, Mia’s heart skipped a beat; could it be that Sean Dalton had died?
She quickly answered, "Hello, Trevor, what’s up?"
Upon hearing this name, Justin Kingston, sitting next to her, seemed to get a shock as if stung by a bee; his thick eyebrows drew together, and he pricked up his ears!
"I’m at the police station," Trevor said over the phone, "I suspect Joan Graham made a false report, accusing me of attacking Sean Dalton. Can you come over to testify for me?"
"Alright." Mia Lane held her phone tightly, her heart in suspense.
Trevor hung up the call, and the busy signal sounded from the other end.
"I need to go to the police station to testify for Trevor," Mia Lane stood up and said to Justin Kingston, "Are you coming?"
Justin Kingston raised his gaze, "What happened to him?"
"He was accused by Joan Graham of attacking Sean Dalton and was arrested by the police."
"..." There was a flash in Justin Kingston’s eyes, he stood up, pulled her by the shoulder, opened a large black umbrella, and led her out of the living room.
His actions surprised Mia Lane, but she was quite relieved.
"Miss! Sir!" Butler Warren’s call was swallowed by the sounds of wind and rain; this was destined to be an unusual night.
