Tribal Sign-In: Immortal At The Start-Chapter 262: Diving Deep Into The Aura
Rion returned within the pale pagoda and before Malikeya.
Seeing him come back so early, Malikeya asked, "Was that enough for you to calm down?"
Rion nodded and muttered while looking at the two dragons’ fangs and his spear placed before her. "It was more than enough."
"I see..." she mumbled under her breath and asked, "How can we assist you?"
He stared into her eyes for a few moments before he said, "I’d like to read books you have on ruins and runes."
"Which one?" She asked as she stood up from her cushion.
Rion smiled and said, "All of them."
Malikeya frowned. "All of them?"
"Yes. Each one of them."
Still confused, Malikeya nodded nonetheless and said, "You should go to Zaelyane’s stay for now."
’Do you not have a place for guests?’ Rion nodded before he placed a fist on his heart and said, "Thank you for everything you’ve done to help me."
Malikeya smiled and replied with a shake of her head, "I just did what the Mother told me to do."
"Then I should thank her as well," he commented with a grin.
She let out a chuckle. "I’ll inform you once everything’s ready."
"Okay..." he responded, and she walked out of the pagoda.
Rion stood in the pagoda for a few minutes before he used Zone Relocation and appeared at the door of Zaelyane’s hut, which was much bigger than what she had at the Dhaevrak tribe.
He pushed the door and entered the hut without wasting a single moment, and a hall with three rooms entered his vision.
He could sense Yuura and Zaelyane in the other two rooms, so he walked into the third one and sat on the fur bed beside the wall.
As he sat alone, the revelation of how Marin had planned every part of his life repeated in his mind, and to keep himself distracted from it, he mumbled, "Inventory."
The inventory screen appeared before him, and he focused on the books placed within it.
More tabs appeared beside the inventory.

Without ceremony, he whispered, "Yes."
[Assimilating with Knowledge book!]
Knowledge of the runes flooded his mind, and symbols that he didn’t understand appeared in his head.
[You have assimilated the knowledge book!]
[Assimilating with Skill Book: Spiritual Eyes!]
A serene green glow seeped out of his eyes, and his expression turned shocked as he was able to see the mystical blue ether floating around him, as if a river flowing without waves.

[Assimilating with Skill Book: Illusion Resistance!]
All of a sudden, he felt a tug at his will, and it wrapped around his mind like a barrier.
[You have assimilated with Skill Book: Illusion Resistance!]
A sharp breath left him, and his eyes gleamed curiously as he mumbled, "Can I absorb ether with these eyes?"
Usually, humans couldn’t absorb ether, but elves could via their spirit eyes, and as Rion now had spiritual eyes, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he could also absorb ether.
He sent a Mental Whisper to Zaelyane and Yuura, <Do not enter the third room.>
He closed the door of the room, sat cross-legged on the ground, and mumbled, "Spiritual Eyes..."
His eyes instantly became similar to moonstone with green rings expanding from the starry pupils.
"Wow..." Awed by the beautiful, mystical scene of the ether floating around him, Rion commanded his eyes to absorb the ether, but nothing happened.
He didn’t give up and tried to pull the ether towards his eyes using his will, but the orderly ether didn’t budge and simply continued to float in soft waves.
’I need a carrier to move it...’ he thought and got the answer the next moment, "Soul energy."
Soul energy was the carrier of will and made the existence of aura possible but Rion didn’t know how to make direct use of soul energy like he could with his raw will.
’What if I remove my will from the aura...?’ He questioned himself.
Aura was the physical manifestation of will, and soul energy was what shaped it, so theoretically, if he removed his will from his aura, he would obtain soul energy to control.
But it wasn’t as easy as it sounded because he couldn’t just remove his will from his aura, and the resulting soul energy wouldn’t be pure.
"Let’s try this," he mumbled and placed his palms above one another.
A golden flame appeared above his palm, and he used his will to remove it from his aura.
The will seeped into the aura as if it were a sponge and was absorbed by it.
He tried again, and this time he used a weaker aura flame and more will than before, and the will wasn’t absorbed as easily.
He repeated the process until his aura could no longer absorb his will, and then forced his will to go further inside his aura.
His will passed through the outermost physical layer and entered the spiritual layer, where the aura flame existed as twisted whirls of his self and soul.
As it touched the whirls, he felt as if he was pulled into one of the countless moments of his life.
He forced through the moments of his life and dived deeper into his aura and entered the realm of existence where the aura didn’t exist as something; instead, it just did.
But he could still feel the bond he had with his aura, and at the same moment, he could see the faint strings that kept them together.
’It has to be the strings.’ His will coiled around the strings and pulled them out of the fabric of existence.
The flame fluttered, but before it could falter, he added another wisp of aura to it, and the flame became stable.
His lips curled upwards, and within the cocoon of his will floated a white mystical string of soul energy.
