Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 818 - 355: Tight Security (Part 3)
The one acting as captain, who was in the Third Stage, raised the trident in his hand.
The meaning was already very clear.
However, at this moment, a soldier behind him gently patted his captain and whispered something in his ear.
Alka and the others watched this scene and waited patiently.
Apparently, the fully armed knight behind might recognize them.
After all, they had gained some fame in the Land of Fragrance and among the soldiers who fought there at that time.
The knight squad approached them slowly in a semi-circular formation.
"Are you Lord Alka?"
"It's us."
Hearing Alka's reply, the soldier who had just spoken to his captain stepped forward a little and looked at Alka.
"Can you prove it? This is a special period, please understand."
Hearing this, Alka nodded and slightly revealed the blessing mark on his forehead. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
The soldiers immediately sensed the aura from the Flower Fairy, an aura they could never forget.
"Lord Alka, excuse us for the offense, please proceed, but forgive us; we have a duty and can't accompany you further," said the soldier, taking a few steps back.
The knight captain nodded to Alka and the others and then reached out to gently press the bow of the ship.
A simple mark floated above.
Alka and his companions nodded, bade farewell to the knights, and continued forward.
Along the way, they encountered many knights patrolling. Even upon seeing the emblem on Alka's ship's bow, they approached to confirm.
Some of them recognized Alka and the others, and Alka kept his mark visible at all times to avoid trouble.
Thus, after passing through numerous checkpoints, they finally arrived at the port where they had previously stayed in the Land of Fragrance.
"Lord Alka? I didn't expect you to come," the guard on duty said with a smile, seeing Alka and his group. He then secured their ship at the side.
"If you want to enter, you need to go through an inspection, please forgive us," the guard said apologetically.
Alka nodded, not refusing.
The inspection involved using some kind of magic equipment to scan the three of them. Once confirmed there were no issues, they were nodded at.
By now, the Land of Fragrance was completely surrounded by a thick, heavy wall of green vines.
The wall had no door at all.
After their inspection, the guard made a gesture, and the vines on the wall started moving.
A doorway appeared, allowing the three to enter.
On the city wall, there were densely packed giant flower cannons. Besides that, knights, guards, and archers were coming and going.
Alka saw many in the Third Stage, even Fourth Stage captains patrolling above.
It could almost be called an elite force.
"It really is troublesome," Jason sighed.
This journey was indeed troublesome, with all kinds of questioning and inspections not lacking in any aspect.
The knights and guards conducting these inspections were all followers of the Flower Fairy, so they were meticulous in their duties.
Though troublesome, it was considered a good thing at this stage.
Just as they entered, they saw Jilenna nearby.
"Welcome, I didn't expect you to come at such a dangerous time."
As she spoke, Jilenna looked at Alka, frowning curiously, "How did you do it? You seem to have grown more powerful?"
Hearing this, Alka merely smiled and didn't offer an explanation.
"I don't know why you've come here at this time, but come with me first, we'll head to the military camp, this isn't the place to talk."
Hearing Jilenna, the three nodded and followed her through the streets towards the military camp.
As they walked through the streets, they glanced around, noticing that most shops were almost closed. There were still residents coming and going on the roads, but most wore serious expressions.
They seemed to be in a hurry.
Moreover, most of the residents wore some protective gear, like vine armor or leather armor, with various sizes of weapons at their sides, though they might not necessarily use them.
On reaching the military camp, they saw it was almost filled with new recruits.
Some injured soldiers were being brought back, appearing to have received some treatment.
Passing by a field, they saw many injured soldiers undergoing rehabilitative training.
Alka observed for a moment.
It seemed the battles here were truly brutal; many injured soldiers had some disabilities but were still engaging in rehabilitative training, trying to return to the battlefield.
They entered a small room next to the central part of the camp.
This seemed to be a reception room.
"Have a seat, what would you like to drink?"
Hearing this, Jason sat down and said bluntly, "I'll have that flower tea from last time; I thought it was quite good."
Alka and the other two also sat down and nodded.
Jilenna smiled, quickly brought over three cups of tea, placed them in front of everyone, and then sat beside them.
"Tell me, why did you come here at this time? Don't tell me you're really here to help us?"
Hearing the hint of teasing in Jilenna's words, all three smiled.
When they were active here previously, they had been comrades, capturing and arresting many cultists and internal spies together.
So, they could be considered quite familiar friends.
