Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 593 - 280 Land of Trial_3
"Of course not." The Dwarf looked at Alka with a peculiar expression, then asked, "You’ve already identified my Race, so what’s so strange about that? Wasn’t this clarified in the information you saw?"
Sorry, no such information exists at all, Alka grumbled internally, feeling even more astounded. He had actually encountered a being who didn’t belong to this world. And they admitted it just like that!
Not only Alka, but Chadite and the others were clearly far more surprised than he was. They couldn’t quite comprehend how someone not of this world had managed to arrive here.
Facing the astonished group, the Dwarf, in turn, seemed to find their reaction a bit strange. "You’re this surprised just knowing I’m not from this world?"
He pondered for a moment. "You wouldn’t happen to be people from the legendary Four Divine Seas, would you?"
Exposed again! And by someone not even from this world! Alka wondered, somewhat perplexed. Is it that obvious?
"Isn’t ’legendary’ a bit of an exaggeration? I recall there being many people from the Four Divine Seas in the Endless Sea," Simon couldn’t help but remark from the side. He makes it sound like we’ve come from some incredibly special place.
"You don’t understand," the Dwarf said excitedly, even reaching out to shake Alka’s hand. "I’ve been here for over fifty years, and you’re the first people I’ve ever met from the Four Divine Seas! Before this, I’d only heard about it from others."
He continued, "Let me introduce myself. I’m Harvey Copperhammer. There are no other Dwarves here, so you can just call me Copper Hammer. I’m a Scholar of Alien Civilization."
"Nice to meet you. Just call me Alka," Alka replied.
Jason and the others also briefly introduced themselves.
A Scholar of Alien Civilization, though? Alka couldn’t help but think. That sounds incredibly grand... if taken literally.
Just as Alka was about to ask, Lucilia, perched on his shoulder, eagerly piped up, "What does ’Scholar of Alien Civilization’ mean? Does it mean you study other civilizations?"
"HAHA, of course! Pretty impressive, right?" Copper Hammer beamed, clearly proud of his profession.
"Then you must know a lot about other civilizations! Have you been to other worlds too?" Lucilia pressed excitedly.
Other worlds! That’s knowledge I’ve never even dreamed of! Lucilia hadn’t even known such things as other worlds existed.
It wasn’t just Lucilia; everyone else, Alka included, was incredibly curious.
Other worlds... then, could it be possible... Alka’s mind began to race, an inexplicable stirring deep within him.
"HAHA, of course! I’ve been to many worlds," Copper Hammer declared.
"Tell us, quickly!" Lucilia urged.
"No problem at all! If you want to know, I’m happy to tell you. However, in return, I’d like you to tell me about the Four Divine Seas later."
With that, Copper Hammer swaggered into the main hall of the house.
"Hey, you rude fellow! I didn’t invite you in," the triangular entity stated from the side.
"You dull rock, don’t be so stuffy! Even I, a Dwarf, am not stuffy. Don’t sweat such minor details."
Everyone else followed him in and took their seats.
Seeing the curious looks on everyone’s faces, Copper Hammer was clearly enjoying himself. He cleared his throat and began his tale.
"Let me tell you about some particularly interesting worlds. If I make it too complicated, you obviously won’t understand."
Saying this, he climbed onto a stool and raised his hand. Magic Power coalesced, forming a three-dimensional image. Amidst a blue glow, countless tiny dots appeared. Some were spherical, while others had all sorts of different shapes.
"These little dots are worlds," he explained. "And this space is the Star Realm, the realm that envelops all other worlds."
"I once visited an Island that had no solid ground, not even an Ocean. Actually, it’s quite similar to your world here, only the sea is replaced by the sky."
"You mean all the islands there float in the sky?" Simon asked.
"Exactly! A world where everything floats in the sky. Very interesting."
"Mm-hmm!" Everyone nodded; it sounded incredibly intriguing.
"The people there have wings on their backs, just like Angels. Do you know what Angels are?"
Alka nodded, but everyone else shook their heads, indicating they didn’t. Seeing Alka nod, the others looked at him.
Copper Hammer waved his hand dismissively. "Alright, never mind if you don’t know. Just imagine them as people with wings."
"Later, through my archaeological research, I discovered that world was actually formed from the corpse of a Primordial Titan merging with an Elemental Interface. That’s why it ended up like that."
"A Primordial Titan?"
"An Elemental Interface?"
Everyone voiced their confusion.
"You don’t even know about these?" Copper Hammer looked a little surprised. Then, as if remembering something, he tapped his own head, seemingly annoyed with himself for asking such a question. "Ah, right. Given the state of your world, how could you know about these things?" he muttered to himself. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
He gathered his thoughts, then looked at the group and explained, "Just think of Primordial Titans as Divines—Gods above other Gods, the very first Divines in this Star Realm. And think of an Elemental Interface as a world possessing only a single attribute of Magic Power."
One could only say that he was truly worthy of being someone who traveled between worlds, researching their various civilizations, Alka thought. He possessed a scholarly depth that belied his appearance.
Copper Hammer explained things simply and clearly, allowing everyone to understand what he meant. While his explanations might not have been perfectly precise, everyone could still grasp the general meaning he wished to convey.
