Chapter 903: Chapter 901: It’s Enough Just to Watch from Afar (Part 1)

"Si Han, what are your plans next? How are you considering that script I showed you last time? Though it’s just a supporting role, it’s a very likable character."

Luo Qingru had previously invited Si Han to co-star in a movie, which was delayed to start filming next spring due to investment issues, and Si Han had always been Luo Qingru’s top choice.

Si Han glanced at Tian Fang; the movie was a serious drama, with a good script, but Si Han wasn’t sure if she could handle such a role.

"Sister Luo, the script is fine, I’m just afraid my acting skills right now might not be able to support that role."

The movie "Spring," which Si Han dared to take on, was not just because of Director Sun’s strong invitation, but also because at that time she was inexperienced and fearless like a newborn calf, which described Si Han a year ago.

After filming "Spring," she could no longer be considered a newcomer. She had developed many thoughts and feelings about acting, understanding that being an actor, often seen as an unrefined profession, requires even more sweat and hardship than many other fields to truly excel.

The role Luo Qingru invited her to play, the youthful part, was substantial. She feared that if she made even a slight mistake, it might ruin both the roles Luo Qingru would play in middle age and old age.

Luo Qingru didn’t seem to realize that her hesitation was due to a fear of not nailing the character. She thought Si Han might be undervaluing the role because it was only a supporting character.

"Si Han, to be honest, among female artists your age, your acting skills may not be the best, after all, you’re not formally trained. Even though you’re much better than we expected, you’re certainly not the best. Why do I keep wanting to partner with you? It’s because I like your humble and serious dedication. Acting skills are important, but so is attitude. In the film, although we portray different stages, we’re essentially the same person. Appearances can change, but the feeling conveyed to the audience shouldn’t, and I believe you’re the one I can reach this understanding with."

It seems Luo Qingru was determined to have Si Han play her younger self, as her convincing words were clearly well thought out.

Si Han was very moved by what she said, and hesitantly turned to Tian Fang, "Sister Fang, what’s your opinion?"

Luo Qingru, hearing this, knew she had softened, quickly added, "Ah Fang, there aren’t many outdoor scenes for Si Han’s role, most are completed in the studio. Even if she needs to balance her studies, it’s entirely feasible, plus her filming should be completed in forty to fifty days."

Tian Fang naturally perceived Si Han’s thoughts and said to Luo Qing, "Mr. Luo, can you give us a few days? This needs approval from the company’s higher-ups."

At this point, all three of them knew the matter was virtually certain.

Speaking of the company, everyone was intrigued by Si Han’s entertainment company, Xinying Entertainment. As the most senior person present, Director Sun voiced the curiosity on everyone’s mind.

"Ah Fang, I’ve heard that Xinying Entertainment’s office is located in the suburbs, and the environment is wonderful. Besides Si Han, who else is in your company? You haven’t mentioned anyone else."

Si Han also looked at Tian Fang curiously, "Sister Fang, our company is in the suburbs? When can I go check it out?"

The others were even more curious, turning their gazes towards Si Han, "No way? Even Si Han, the much-promoted talent, hasn’t been to the company?"

Tian Fang chuckled, "Si Han has to juggle filming and studying. How could I possibly make her go to the company all the time? Anyway, being an artist is a unique profession, and whether or not you go back to the company doesn’t matter." 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

Si Han accepted this explanation.

"As for other artists, they’re currently in training and should be introduced to everyone soon."

The news made Si Han quite happy, "Sister Fang, does that mean I’ll be the senior? Hey, when can you take me back to visit? I’ll treat the junior brothers and sisters to a meal."

The delicious dishes were soon served, and everyone chatted about the latest entertainment gossip, feeling quite at ease.

As for Fang Kai, although this lively gathering wasn’t exactly his ideal scenario, being able to sit beside her and hear her speak, seeing her often smiling with eyes squinted, was like a blessing after a long drought to him now.

Fang Kai was well aware that Si Han was actually out of his reach. Therefore, just being able to watch her from afar like this satisfied him.

As everyone finished eating, Fang Kai stepped out for a moment, intending to quietly settle the bill.

However, the manager informed him that Mr. Ji had already settled it in advance. The manager also asked him if there was anything else he needed. In the end, wearing sunglasses, Fang Kai was recognized by the sharp-eyed female manager, who insisted he sign dozens of autographs at the service desk before letting him return to the private room.

Si Han didn’t know he had gone to settle the bill secretly, thinking he had just gone for some fresh air. Seeing him sit down, she joked.

"Brother Kai, were you recognized by fans and not freed until you signed autographs?"

Fang Kai nodded generously and waved his hand, "Yes, my hand’s almost gone numb from signing."

Si Han was just holding her phone and snapped a picture of him waving his hand, laughing, "Ah, the troubles of a big star!"

Fang Kai rolled his eyes helplessly, glancing at her with an elder’s posture, "Don’t be in a rush to make fun of me. Once the movie starts promoting, you’ll be just like me, having to disguise everywhere you go, or else you’ll be signing until your hand is sore."

The meal, naturally, ended with everyone happy.

Si Han called the manager in to settle the bill; the manager came in and told Director Sun, "Director Sun, Young Master Ji instructed that all of your upcoming entertainment expenses are covered!"

It was only then that Si Han realized her brother had already taken care of everything, but she had early classes tomorrow morning and couldn’t stay to continue with Director Sun and the others.

After explaining to Director Sun, the seniors didn’t insist on her staying.

"Sister Fang, my brother just texted me saying he’s nearby with a client for dinner and will come to pick me up afterward. Why don’t you stay and keep Director Sun company?"

Tian Fang internally grumbled, thinking he was just worried about his darling sister and deliberately came to pick her up!

"Alright, I’ll stay and entertain Director Sun for a while. You go ahead; I’ll pick you up tomorrow."

After Si Han left, the group moved to a club affiliated with the venue, ordered drinks, and continued to play and chat leisurely.

The lights in the parking lot were dim, and where Da Bao had parked was in a shaded area. Si Han got in the car, and before she settled in, Da Bao looked at her in the weak light, "Did you have fun?"
