Chapter 638: Chapter 636: The Ji Family’s Little Babies (Part 1)

Da Bao and Little Treasure being able to adapt to the high-intensity training by the instructors didn’t surprise Le Tong and Ji Rui at all.

What surprised them was that Nuonuo, this seemingly delicate little princess, also gritted her teeth and silently completed all the training as per the instructor’s demands.

The two instructors seemed quite astonished by this, telling Le Tong and Ji Rui, "Mr. Ji, your three kids have different talents, but they all share one trait: stubbornness!"

Da Bao and Little Treasure have their parents’ blood, so being stubborn is almost inevitable. However, this little girl Nuonuo, has always been considered a dainty little princess by Ji Rui, Le Tong, and even Da Bao. She’s seen as delicate inside and out, needing careful nurturing from the Ji Family as she grows.

But the reality shows that Nuonuo hasn’t become weak due to the Ji Family’s doting care. Instead, she silently endures the high-intensity training like her brothers.

And Little Treasure, this high-energy little guy, ever since he started learning martial arts, spends all his time in the martial arts room on the top floor practicing enthusiastically. It’s clear he genuinely loves this impressive and stylish sport in his eyes.

After studying for over a month, Little Treasure started pestering the instructors to teach him the nunchaku. After consulting with the Ji Rui couple and getting their permission, the instructors set aside one day a week specifically for nunchaku lessons.

As boys, Da Bao and Little Treasure naturally have a stronger ability to learn than Nuonuo. Whether it’s martial arts routines or nunchaku, they find it much easier to pick up than Nuonuo.

The instructors’ teaching time is fixed at one hour daily. Each night after the instructors leave, Da Bao and Little Treasure don’t rush downstairs to play but patiently accompany Nuonuo until she masters the day’s moves before leisurely going downstairs.

Le Tong and Ji Rui occasionally come to the top floor to watch the kids train, seeing the trio progress from being novices who couldn’t even hold a horse stance to performing several sets of punches with proper form. They are not only relieved but also proud of the kids.

Nuonuo is almost four years old, and Le Tong and Ji Rui privately started planning how to celebrate her birthday that day.

"Why don’t we throw a big party for Nuonuo?"

People of similar status to Ji Rui’s typically hold grand banquets or luxurious parties for birthdays, whether for the elderly or children.

But in their family, aside from several birthday parties Mr. Ji threw for Da Bao when he was young, Ji Rui and Le Tong have never thrown big parties for the kids.

The reason, naturally, is that Le Tong disagrees.

Her reason for disapproval is she doesn’t want the kids to think themselves superior from a young age, nor does she want them to grow up into pampered noble sons.

"Let’s not do that; frankly, such parties are just adults pretending it’s for the kids to curry favor with others. We’d end up busy with socializing. Wouldn’t it be more meaningful to have a fun day with good food and playtime just as a happy family?"

Frankly, those parents who throw birthday parties for their kids are likely more about showing off than celebrating. Otherwise, which kid would want to be led around like a monkey to entertain various guests?

Le Tong made her point, and Ji Rui would never go against it. However, they ultimately decided that since Nuonuo is the main character, it would be more democratic and reasonable to let the birthday girl make the decision.

After dinner, the three kids sat in a circle on the carpet playing board games, and Le Tong joined them, holding Nuonuo on her lap.

"Baby, your birthday is coming up soon. How do you want to celebrate it?"

Da Bao and Little Treasure immediately looked up, focusing their attention on Le Tong and Nuonuo.

Nuonuo tilted her head and thought for a moment, "Can Nuonuo celebrate like Brother Da Bao did?"

For Da Bao’s tenth birthday, like when he was nine, he invited a bunch of classmates over to play at their house. Nuonuo now goes to school and has friends of her own.

Le Tong kissed her with a smile, "Of course you can! Does Nuonuo want to invite her classmates over to play?"

Nuonuo is in junior kindergarten, and her classmates are mostly four or five years old. Inviting them over for a party might involve quite a bit of work, but as long as Nuonuo is happy, Le Tong has no objections.

Nuonuo clapped her hands happily, "Great, Nuonuo can invite her friends to play!"

The little girl smiled brightly, stood up from Le Tong’s arms, and cupped Le Tong’s face, giving her several kisses, "Thank you, Mommy!"

Afterward, Nuonuo suddenly remembered something and fixed her gaze on Le Tong.

"What’s up, baby? Is there something else?"

Nuonuo licked her lips and, after a bit of brewing, said, "Mommy, besides inviting my friends, can Nuonuo also ask for a birthday gift?"

Le Tong playfully pinched her cheek, "Of course! What birthday gift does Nuonuo want? Daddy and Mommy will get it for you!"

Nuonuo turned to look at Da Bao, who gave a slight nod, encouraging her to ask for whatever she wanted. Emboldened by Brother Da Bao, Nuonuo turned back, wrapped her arms around Le Tong’s neck, buried her face in her shoulder, and shyly said, "Nuonuo wants a violin, but Huang Xinyi said her violin is very expensive!"

Le Tong couldn’t help but reflect on whether she had ever inadvertently hinted to Nuonuo that they were poor, leading the little girl to worry the violin would be too expensive to buy!

Le Tong lifted Nuonuo’s little face, making eye contact with her daughter, "Does Nuonuo want to learn the violin?"

Rather than immediately agreeing, Le Tong first wanted to understand the little girl’s desire for a violin. If it was merely to own one, then no matter the cost, it wouldn’t be necessary.

Nuonuo nodded vigorously, "Yes! Nuonuo wants to learn! Huang Xinyi plays the violin beautifully; she can play ’Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star’ and ’Two Tigers.’ Nuonuo wants to learn and play for Daddy, Mommy, Brother, and Brother!"

Upon hearing Nuonuo’s reasons, getting a violin was a piece of cake for Le Tong. Even if it meant selling everything, Le Tong would buy one for the little girl.

"Alright, since Nuonuo wants to learn the violin, Daddy and Mommy will get it for you!"

As the father, Ji Rui had been quietly listening to the mother-daughter conversation. Upon hearing this, he immediately stood up, "Since Nuonuo likes it so much, let’s go and buy it now while it’s still early."

Da Bao and Little Treasure also stood up, but Le Tong waved her hand at the three men, "What’s the rush? Let’s find a teacher for Nuonuo first and have them help pick a suitable violin. Otherwise, how are we supposed to know what to get?"
