Chapter 605: Chapter 603: I Love You Too! (Part 1)

Little Ji Yu, of course, doesn’t know that his old man has given him such a high hat, intending to be a hands-off parent early on so he can enjoy the world with his beloved wife.

However, even if he knew, he didn’t plan to do anything to resist, because he is a responsible brother after all.

Previously, Le Tong only thought that Da Bao Ji Yu inherited his old man’s high IQ, her high EQ, and good cooking skills. But ever since Nuonuo and Little Treasure came along, Le Tong realized that Da Bao also inherited his dad’s strong possessiveness and obsessive persistence.

As the kids grow up day by day, at home, Da Bao, as the brother, gradually gains absolute decision-making power over matters concerning Nuonuo and Little Treasure.

Nuonuo is two and a half years old now, so technically, it’s time for her to go to kindergarten.

So, Le Tong and Ji Rui, the parents, started planning Nuonuo’s entry into kindergarten.

But when they mentioned this to the little one herself, the usually obedient and well-behaved girl pouted her lips and said, "Nuonuo’s not going!", then ran away to the Little Treasure who was crawling around the house.

"Sister wants to stay with Little Treasure!"

Le Tong patiently followed, squatted behind her two children, and scooped up the little girl onto her lap.

"Nuonuo can make many friends in kindergarten. There are pretty teachers who teach lovely songs and dances. Nuonuo can perform them for Little Treasure after you learn them."

Nuonuo shook her head firmly without thinking.

"Not going! Brother will teach Nuonuo..."

Le Tong felt a headache and didn’t know when Ji Yu, the brother, became omnipotent in Nuonuo’s eyes. Everything that couldn’t be done by others, her brother Ji Yu could do for her.

"But..."

Le Tong wanted to persuade the little girl again, but she suddenly struggled free from her embrace and ran like a rocket toward the balcony door.

Le Tong looked up and saw Da Bao opening the balcony door and coming in.

"Brother, Nuonuo’s not going! Nuonuo’s not going..." The little girl charged over and hugged Da Bao’s leg, acting spoiled in a soft and cute voice.

Da Bao bent down, picked up the little girl, kissed her face to comfort her, and then looked at Le Tong in confusion.

"Mommy, what’s wrong with Nuonuo?"

Le Tong stood up, "Nuonuo is over two years old now. Your dad and I think she should go to kindergarten."

Close to nine years old, Da Bao has almost completely stepped out of his childishness, growing quite a bit. The baby fat is gone, and now he not only has a face similar to Ji Rui’s but even his body shape is becoming more like Ji Rui’s. Taller and stronger than his peers, even though he’s only nine, he already gives a reliable, safe feeling, especially in front of Nuonuo and Little Treasure, where this natural protector aura is even stronger.

Now, Da Bao, who increasingly resembles an adult, didn’t express any opinions on Le Tong’s words. Instead, he looked down at the little girl in his arms, raised a finger to brush aside the little curly hair stuck to her face, gave a kiss, and gently asked her, "Nuonuo doesn’t want to go?"

"Uh-huh! Not going!" The little girl nestled comfortably in Da Bao’s arms nodded heavily.

"Why?" Da Bao, holding her, walked to the couch, sat down, and carefully asked the little girl, who had a face full of grievance.

Le Tong knew that this was now out of her hands, picked up Little Treasure, who was giggling while hugging her calf, "Little Treasure, mommy will take you to see the kitty."

Little Treasure, at eight or nine months old, clapped his tiny hands excitedly, meowing twice. Le Tong, amused by him, opened the balcony door and walked into the backyard.

In the living room, the little girl, held by Da Bao, pointed at Le Tong’s silhouette going away, "Nuonuo wants to stay with Little Treasure..."

The ambiguous statement was entirely clear to Da Bao; accompanying Little Treasure wasn’t her concern at the moment. She didn’t want to go to kindergarten because she wanted to stay at home with Baobao.

The little girl touched Da Bao’s face, "Singing, dancing, brother will teach Nuonuo."

Da Bao bowed his head, pondering a moment, grabbed the little hand touching his face, kissed it, "Yes, brother will teach Nuonuo."

"Not going to kindergarten!" Nuonuo reiterated.

Da Bao nodded, "Yes, not going!"

Half an hour later, Le Tong returned to the living room holding a sweaty Little Treasure. Nuonuo, who had been nestled in Da Bao’s arms reading a fairy tale book, immediately got up, waddling over to grab a big towel to help wipe the sweat off Little Treasure and Le Tong.

Da Bao then followed suit with his long legs, "Mommy!"

"Yes?!" Le Tong knew that her eldest son was about to give her an answer.

"Nuonuo is still small, let her go to kindergarten later!" Da Bao bent over to pick up Little Treasure.

"But, other kids go to kindergarten when they’re a little over two." Le Tong knew the protective nature between her children, but when reaching this age, kids really do need more social interaction.

"Those are other people’s children, not ours!" This was something Le Tong often said in the past.

Because Da Bao was a special child from a young age, Le Tong used this phrase a lot to convince Ji Rui to give Da Bao more freedom to grow.

Le Tong was momentarily speechless.

"Nuonuo wants to stay with Little Treasure; let her start kindergarten a year later. Whatever she wants to learn, I will teach her, okay?"

Da Bao, holding Little Treasure, spoke to Le Tong in a tone and expression full of tenderness.

Le Tong was still hesitant, "Won’t it interfere with your studies?"

She knew Da Bao was smart, but he was just nine years old, already in sixth grade, and soon ready to graduate elementary school.

Da Bao seemed to hear a big joke, a broad smile spreading across his face, "Mommy, have you ever seen me bring homework home? Have you ever seen me study? Don’t I always come first in every subject?"

The look of sheer pride on Da Bao’s face only occasionally betrays the child he really is when he allows these moments of innocence to shine through.

"That’s right, my Da Bao never needs me to worry about these things. Alright, if you think there’s no problem with Nuonuo going later, then she’ll go later. After all, Little Treasure doesn’t want to part with Sister either!"

Da Bao came over and kissed Le Tong’s cheek.

"Thank you, Mommy! I love you!"

After becoming a brother, although Da Bao matured in many aspects, the habit of being affectionate and clingy towards Le Tong had not changed a bit. Whenever he had the chance, he would stick to and snuggle with Le Tong as before.

Le Tong wrapped an arm around the boy’s waist, giving him a kiss on his cheek as well.

"Mommy loves you too!"

Nearby, as Nuonuo tidied up the toys Little Treasure had scattered, she pitter-pattered over, tilting her innocent little face up with eyes full of expectation, "Brother, Mommy, what about Nuonuo?"

Le Tong and Da Bao exchanged a smile, reaching out simultaneously to each embrace Nuonuo from either side, bending down to plant kisses on her soft, pudgy cheeks.

"I love you too, Nuonuo!" The mother and son said in chorus, smiling.
