Traveler of the River of Time and Space-Chapter 570 - 46: Suppressing the Uprising
The group silently slipped in along the edge of the factory district.
Su Ziyu could hear the rumbling sounds of machinery within the factory. A large number of members of the Mechanical Pantheon were busy inside, while outside, the Mechanical Priests in heavy metal armor-styled robes were overseeing the transportation of exoskeleton power armor.
"This way," Empress Isabella said softly, her brows furrowing.
Boom boom boom.
Just as the three were preparing to stealthily infiltrate the sewer, a rumble of footsteps sounded from a distance. A massive silver-gray mech appeared within view, over fifty meters tall, towering over the surrounding buildings. At this moment, a beam of infrared light was being emitted from its enormous electronic eye, seemingly scanning the vicinity.
"That's a Titan-class mech," Empress Isabella said gravely, "They may have detected an intrusion."
The three immediately jumped into the sewer.
Su Ziyu used telekinesis flight to lead Empress Isabella forward, while the blonde angel followed methodically behind. In the dim sewer, there wasn't much life, only the occasional sight of some serrated creatures. They had flown through the sewer for half an hour, twisting and turning, before they suddenly came to a dead end. Empress Isabella raised her watch and checked it, then said, "This is the place."
After speaking, she approached a wall, a glint flashing in her eyes. The next second, the wall before them opened to the sides, revealing a clean, tidy passage.
"Your Majesty!"
Su Ziyu and the others had just entered the passage when footsteps sounded ahead. Soon, figures in black and gray robes appeared, among them an elder whom he had previously met.
"Master Dandy," Empress Isabella greeted, looking at the elder before her. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine." The elder, dressed in a gray medieval robe, sighed in relief upon seeing Empress Isabella. "Your Majesty, it's so good to see you unharmed."
"The Golden Palace has been occupied by the rebels."
"The situation with Prince William is probably dire."
"Our spies secretly prepared have discovered they have entered the Mind Synchronization Center."
Empress Isabella nodded, indicating she was aware, then turned to look at Su Ziyu beside her, her expression softening as she said gently, "These two are the helpers I've brought."
"We don't have much time."
"Immediately gather the other members of the Assassin Court."
The gray-robed elder glanced at Su Ziyu and immediately said, "Understood."
The wings behind Shire had been retracted, and at this moment, she looked like a beautiful human woman, shrouded in a layer of hazy mist, making it difficult to see clearly.
Instinctively, others ignored her presence.
Ten minutes later.
The gray-robed elder had gathered over thirty people, but most were injured, one even with a severed arm, now sporting an ordinary power arm. It was clear that these members of the Assassin Court held great loyalty to Empress Isabella. Su Ziyu only slightly expanded his mind force field to probe a little into their shallow thoughts.
These people did not fear death.
The majority of them were ready to die in battle.
This ability to peer into minds was something Su Ziyu hadn't been able to do before; it seemed that reinforcing his mind penetration ability made his spirit akin to needles, easily breaking through others' mental defenses to glimpse their innermost thoughts.
"Let's go," Empress Isabella said with a determined expression, "The Mind Synchronization Device must not fall into the hands of the Mechanical Pantheon."
On the way.
Empress Isabella quickly devised a battle plan. The Golden Palace was her bedchamber; no one knew the place better than she did.
She ordered the Assassin Court's members to launch attacks from three places to draw the enemy's attention. Meanwhile, she, Su Ziyu, and Shire would infiltrate through the rear of the Golden Palace, which was very close to her bedchamber, with the Mind Synchronization Center less than two hundred meters away in a straight line. Of course, this was provided they ignored the walls, corridors, and metal secret doors. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
A faint light appeared ahead.
Empress Isabella nodded slightly at the gray-robed elder beside her, and the next second, more than ten members of the Assassin Court disappeared on the spot. Through the shallow ripples, waves flashed by. All members of the Assassin Court were spiritualists, mostly trained since childhood, with near-absolute loyalty to the Imperial Family.
These individuals had all undergone nano-neural modifications. Though their spiritual ability level wasn't particularly high, their stealth and invisibility powers were remarkably strong.
Soon.
Another group infiltrated from the exit, and the gray-robed elder signaled to Empress Isabella with a nod, saying seriously, "Be careful, Your Majesty!"
With that, he led a team to sneak toward the central hall.
They would be responsible for attracting the main forces within the Golden Palace and would create an explosion to provide an opportunity for Su Ziyu and the others.
Time passed second by second.
About five minutes later, Empress Isabella opened her eyes, turned to Su Ziyu, and said seriously, "Let's set off."
As soon as she spoke.
The entire palace trembled slightly, and in the distance came a rumbling explosion, followed by more explosions from different directions. A heavy mechanical troop seemed to have rushed over to assist.
"Follow me," Empress Isabella said, drawing her light saber.
The dark red light blade sliced through the wall ahead as she leaped up, directly creating a skylight and entering a closed room.
A strong aroma of wine wafted in.
"This is a storeroom," Empress Isabella's eyes emitted a glimmer of starlight in the dim light.
Pop.
A slight sound came from behind, and when Su Ziyu turned, he saw Shire summoning a bottle from among dozens of rows of wine racks. She opened it and sniffed it, smiled, and said, "Don't worry. I'm just preparing a little trick."
With that, she poured herself a glass of wine, tasted it lightly, and a faint glow appeared at her fingertips.
A faint scent of wine spread through the air.
Accompanied by a mist-like aura that spread out, the sound of bodies hitting the ground sounded outside.
"Just a seventh ring spell," Shire said, smiling at Su Ziyu's surprised look. "Let's go."
A crowd lay fallen outside the door.
Most were guards and maids of the Golden Palace, along with some soldiers in heavy exoskeletons.
They had all fallen asleep.
