Trapped in a Novel as the D-Class Alpha I Hated Most-Chapter 28: I’m Not An Omega! I’m An Alpha
The sunlight glows warmly, bathing the funfair in gold. I stretch lazily as the car stops, the engine sighing to silence. Deniz steps out first. I step down after him, eyes widening at the big board gleaming above the entrance. The laughter, the bright rides, the scent of popcorn and cotton candy—it all hits me at once.
"Woah..." I murmur, taking it in.
Deniz steps closer, voice hesitant. "Please wait... I’ll buy the entry passes."
I nod, letting him walk ahead, but my gaze drifts around. Where are all the children?
Families? Instead, I only see couples—Alphas, Omegas, Betas—holding hands, laughing together. In this ABO world, two boys in love walking hand in hand is normal, and yet it still makes my chest flutter.
Deniz returns, face drawn, a hint of sadness in his eyes. "I... I’m sorry. We can’t go inside."
I blink, confused.
"Why?" I ask immediately, brow furrowed.
He hesitates, then whispers, "Today... it’s couple day. The funfair only allows couples to enter."
I glance at the board again, then back at Deniz, and whisper slowly, teasingly, "Couple day, huh?"
Deniz nods slowly, then asks, "Do you... want to go somewhere else?" 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
I don’t answer right away.
Instead, a mischievous smile curves on my lips. I step closer, hand reaching for his. Deniz flinches.
"What—Ar—" he stammers, but I don’t give him a chance to finish. I grab his hand firmly and drag him toward the counter. The staff watches us, eyebrows raised.
I slip my arm around Deniz’s waist, pulling him just close enough, and say to the staff with a bright, teasing smile, "Give us two passes, please."
Deniz stiffens, face heating, trying to pull back, but I don’t loosen my grip. His body trembles slightly, and my lips curl into a grin.
The staff narrows their eyes on him. "Sir... weren’t you the one who came for passes earlier? And now suddenly... a boyfriend? Are you lying?"
Deniz’s face turns crimson.
I lean a little closer to Deniz, my lips brushing his cheek in a soft, playful kiss, and say, "We’re real. He’s just a little shy."
Deniz freezes, eyes wide, completely flustered. I can feel him trembling slightly in my hold, and I grin at the staff. "See? Real couple."
The staff exchanges a glance, then nods, handing over the two passes quickly.
My arm still around his waist pushing him closer, I lead him past the gate. Deniz freezes again, face blazing red as the staff waves us off.
"Have fun, you two lovey-dovey!" one of them calls.
I wave back lightly, smiling. "Thanks!"
Deniz stumbles slightly beside me, but I squeeze his waist gently. He’s mine today—and he knows it.
When we step inside the funfair, the lights glow all around me, reflecting on the rides, the stalls, the laughter echoing everywhere. My eyes scan the crowd, alive with excitement, and my hand still rests around Deniz’s waist pushing him closer.
He stiffens. Gently, carefully, he pushes me back, freeing himself. I tilt my head, curious, taking in his bright red face, his cheeks burning, his eyes fluttering nervously. A soft smile tugs at my lips.
"What happened?" I ask.
His voice comes out small, hesitant. "What... you did at the counter."
I grin, tilting my head. "Isn’t it good we got the passes?"
He touches his cheek lightly, eyes downcast, and murmurs, "You..."
I can’t resist. I reach up, squeeze his cheeks gently, and say, "Let’s enjoy the funfair, my boyfriend."
His eyes widen, and a small shiver runs through him. I laugh softly. "Kidding," I whisper, letting him relax just a little.
Then I tilt my head, teasing. "Deniz... you didn’t tell me how I look today."
He freezes, confusion written all over his face, blinking at me as if I just asked the impossible. Slowly, cautiously, his gaze runs over me, head to toe.
I hold my breath. Waiting.
Finally, he swallows, his voice soft. "You... look adorable."
My smile falters. "Adorable?" I echo, raising an eyebrow. "Wasn’t I supposed to hear the word ’handsome’?"
Deniz flushes even deeper, and without another word, he walks away.
I follow, persistence in every step. "Deniz!" I call softly.
He glances back briefly, cheeks still red, shyly muttering, "I didn’t... I mean, you’re handsome."
I grin triumphantly and match my pace to his, stubbornly staying beside him, savoring the rare moment of him admitting it.
I glance around, wondering where to start first. Rides? Games? Food?
Deniz tilts his head, voice calm but curious. "Where do you want to go first?"
My eyes catch the cotton candy stall—bright, swirled colors gleaming in the sunlight. I point and say, "Cotton candy."
I walk quickly, eager, and he follows behind me like a parent trailing their child, careful not to lose sight. My gaze drifts over the fluffy clouds of sugar. Pink, blue, rainbow... my eyes widen in delight.
Wow... so many colors, each one brighter than the last.
Deniz leans closer, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Which one do you like?"
I point without hesitation at the heart-shaped rainbow swirl, my fingers trembling slightly with excitement.
Deniz leans slightly toward the shopkeeper. "One heart-shaped rainbow, please."
She nods, quickly shaping the cotton candy into a perfect heart, and hands it to him, who passes it gently to me. I take it, my eyes sparkling, and bite into it. The sweetness melts on my tongue. "Hmm... it’s really sweet," I murmur, smiling.
Deniz glances at my lips. "You got some here."
Before I can react, his thumb brushes mine across my lips, gently wiping the sugar away. My cheeks burn.
The shopkeeper smiles at him. "Mister, your Omega is really cute."
My eyes widen in shock. I quickly snap, my voice sharp and a little childish,
"I’m not an Omega! I’m an Alpha!"
Deniz bites his lower lip, trying to hold back a laugh. I pout dramatically. "Are you laughing at me?"
Finally, he releases it—a soft, uncontrollable laugh that fills the space around us. For a moment, the funfair seems to fade away. It’s just him... and his laugh.
