Transmigration of Mian [Reluctantly] Becomes His Man [Wife]-Chapter 032: Farming
“Delicious tanghulu, 2 Wen for a skewer!” Qin Mian shouted loudly.
Lei Tie stood beside him, never leaving.
This time, the tanghulu was sold faster than yesterday. In a short time, only two skewers remained, which were left for Xiao Hu and Gou Dan.
Qin Mian happily weighed the money pouch and smiled at Lei Tie as he said: “Do you have anything to buy?”
Lei Tie immediately realized that his wife had a better attitude towards him, more casual and intimate to him to be precise.
“No.”
“Let’s go and get some food. It’s still early, so let’s not have lunch in the town. The food in that restaurant is not as delicious as I made it. Do you have anything you want to eat?” Qin Mian asked, thinking about what he himself wanted to eat.
Lei Tie was about to answer “no” but seeing how Qin Mian was in a good mood, he changed his mind, “Fish.”
“Sure, go buy fish.” Qin Mian felt very refreshed.
The both of them consumed a large amount of food, so Qin Mian simply bought two fish of about 2 Jin. There were condiments of onion, ginger and garlic at home, no need to buy another. The tube bone was cheap and he bought 2 Jin to simmer, which was good for one’s health.
When they were about to leave the town, they saw an old man selling straw hats on the road.
“Buy two hats.” Lei Tie said.
Qin Mian spent 4 Wen to buy two hats, one for each person, which dispelled the scorching sensation on their heads.
On the way back, they chatted as they walked.
“The dry land has been half ploughed, is it possible to plant vegetables?” The work in the farm field couldn’t be left behind, Qin Mian was very concerned.
Lei Tie replied: “Nn.”
“I plant vegetables, you plant wheat.” Qin Mian said.
Lei Tie took a look at him. “Will you?”
“It’s not hard.” Qin Mian said calmly, “But I don’t know if I still remember…” After all, he hadn’t done farm work for many years.
Lei Tie thought nothing of it. There were only two mu of land in all and he alone was too busy to manage it.
When they entered the village, Xiao Hu and Gou Dan saw them. Xiao Hu was more reserved but Gou Dan jumped with joy and waved at them from far away.
Qin Mian gave each of them a skewer of tanghulu and a package of snacks. He said with a smile, “You guys don’t need to come here tomorrow. Thank to both of you for these two days.”
“Uncle Qin, what is this?” Gou Dan was more active than Xiao Hu, he asked curiously as he held the tanghulu.
Qin Mian said: “This is tanghulu. It’s sweet.”
“Thank you, Uncle Qin.” Gou Dan got both a snacks he never seen and also pastry, he was filled with joy.
Xiao Hu couldn’t help licking his lips.
The two bouncingly ran away.
After lunch, Qin Mian and Lei Tie put on the straw hats and went to the farm field. They were going to that one mu of dry land. Qin Mian planted vegetables and Lei Tie plowed the remaining half.
The vegetables planted in autumn were nothing more than pak choi, cabbage, radish and spinach which were the vegetable seeds Qin Mian had bought. Qin Mian roughly divided the ploughed part, namely the part to be planted with vegetables, into four small plots –one plot for each species.
