Yck stared down Nick with endless malice—for just a second before it was drowned with Dwarf ass.

"Wanna collide into me? Thy can feel the divine fury of dwarven gold!!!"

A fireball flew across the field and fell harmlessly against the dwarf's mighty beard. It was quickly followed by the vakir's voice saying, "Of course, a paltry dwarf like you would be this crass. Thine stupideth brain doth not knoweth how to thinketh!!"

Knowing that the 2 would bicker for eternity, Glynt made a business decision and grabbed both of their skulls before slamming them into each other.

"Sylus, Magnus. Shut the duck up!!"

They crumbled to the ground as they filled the city with their groans.

Turning back to Nick, he saw that Glynt had adopted a wide smile. 'Shet... is he a psycho?!'

"Well, now that that's settled, why don't we begin?"

...

Nick watched the green gate with a mix between curiosity and apprehension. Not because it was a B-Rank dungeon, but because...

It felt different.

Was it tampered with as well? And why could he suddenly sense this minute change in energy?

'Well, that one's rather simple. I've been leveling up.'

The others didn't feel any of this foreboding aura. Instead, they simply walked through the gate like it was any other raid.

A-Rank archer, A-Rank mage, and A-Rank tank. The dungeon should be a simple walk-in, kill Yck, kill the boss, and then leave the dungeon.

Taking in a deep breath before walking into the portal, Nick knew that it wasn't going to be so easy.

[Entering Eilanderil]

'Eilanderil? Like the fallen city?!'

This was a city pretty much any player of Aether Babes knew. It was a dead one, one of the first victims of the demon horde. Many theories had been crafted trying to figure out how their society functioned. The lore surrounding the area was so dense that people could even deduce how their school system worked.

It was ironic that for a city so forgotten to the world it was in, to the point most historical scholars didn't even know it existed, even casual players in real life probably watched a video or two about the mysteries of Eilanderil.

However, Nick was the first to ever see it in action.

And if nothing else, the marketplace didn't disappoint. Despite them randomly spawning right in the middle, not a single one of the thousands of civilians paid them any mind.

It wasn't that they were too busy to notice either, as many of them were simply sitting on benches or leaning against buildings, watching the world or talking with some friend.

Really, the entire scene reminded him of a populated park.

'Maybe they just don't care about 5 well-armed people, 4 of them dangerous, randomly spawning in their city.'

A nearby flashing light followed by a few warriors stepping out from it showed Nick the real reason why. In this period of time, many people were traveling to and from places via portals.

For them, this was just an everyday occurrence.

"Well, lucky us!!" Glynt's loud voice boomed through the marketplace.

Nick instinctively cowered, knowing for certain that they would be alarmed by this sudden rise in voice. Instead, they continued shopping as if they didn't even notice some large orc with a thick axe screaming about how lucky he was.

'Well, it is still a dungeon. Maybe they're used to dangerous people.'

Glynt put a hand on Yck's shoulder before shaking him slightly. Yck would say that it was a hard shove and that's why he fell, but Nick knew differently.

The smallest breeze could play with his hair and he'd fall.

"AHH!!!" Yck was too busy screaming to extend his arms and so his face smacked directly off the pavement.

Of course, the surrounding civilians decided that now was the time to notice them.

3 comically ill-equipped guards approached Glynt from behind. Each sported a simple leather tunic, a long stick with a butcher knife fixed on its edge, and leather pants.

The best part of their equipment was probably the golden medal they wore over their heart.

Still, they appeared to be very keen on doing their job, as one of them stepped forward and said, "Traveler, stop right there!"

"Hmm?"

A confused frown formed on Glynt's face as he stopped his arm which was just inches from grabbing Yck and pulling him back up. Like everyone else, he was surprised that Yck even hit the ground.

Slowly turning around, the orc raised his hands in a surrendering gesture as he said, "Hey- easy! Let's talk this out like good Symatans"

"It's Samaritans," Sylus muttered as he stroked his beard.

"Ah, yes. Sirmatans." Glynt repeated with a small nod of his head, clearly not too worried about the guard. He was an A-Rank, after all. And they weren't even equipped with a gear of Nick's level.

'Common gear is supposed to be something so bad even homeless people back in the city would have better gear. Yet I would say that their gear is of Common rank...'

Yeah. The civilians here weren't well protected at all.

Especially because the guards were now bowing to Glynt for some reason. Weren't they supposed to arrest him? Could they really be swayed this easily?

"Oh great orc, please forgive us! With our measly eyes, we had failed to identify your divine majesty for all that it is. In the future, we promise to do better!"

Glynt simply blinked and said, "Yeah. You do that."

Then he turned to Nick as he winked, "Guess I'm royalty, huh."

'Royalty, poser. Whichever you decide to call yourself, I guess."

The guards turned to leave, but before they did they stopped in front of Magnus for just a second. Eyeing the Vakir with clear disdain, the leader said, "Mind your fire, goat."

Magnus smiled, but Nick could sense the clear bloodlust hidden underneath. Internally, he knew that Magnus was imagining the guard's dead body screaming as fire ate his corpse.

Brutal.

After the guards left, the crew of five no longer had any other company from the citizens of the gate. For some reason, they seemed to be keeping their distance from them.

'Especially me.' Nick realized as he caught a group of people averting their stare the second he looked at them.
