Transmigrated to Game World with SSS Wife-Chapter 47: Juliana, Calm Down!
"Motherfecker deckhead! Piece of shet a$$hole turkey face!" Juliana screamed obscenities, hurling them as fast as she did her lightning.
Luckily for Ivan, Nick was fast enough to deflect each of her strikes. It was a pain, mostly because lightning was fairly fast.
In his first life, he was quite sure it wouldn't just zapped him.
Superhero perks for the win!
"Hey, Juliana! Calm down, ok! Let me explain!"
"Deckhead! Deckhead! Deckhead!" Juliana continued screaming obscenities and hurling lightning, seemingly completely blind to Nick. Amelia squealed behind her every time the crazy woman screamed.
'If she'd just listen to me! Jesus Christ, woman!'
Tired of defending his newest recruit, who was probably filing for health insurance right now, Nick went on the offensive and tackled Juliana before she could hurl another lightning bolt.
"AHH!!! GET OFF ME YOU FECKIN DEMO- oh. Apologies, my king."
"It's Nick..." He sighed, happy that at least she stopped mindlessly attacking. It was nice having a woman like him, but this borderline obsession was a bit bunch.
Also, the whole king thing... was kinda scary. Kings get assassinated all the time!
Juliana eased her aggression as she looked into Nick's eyes. He expected to see her patented defiance, but instead, for a split second, he saw her eyes water.
Then she pushed off the ground and exclaimed, "Nick! Amelia was just telling me about this tournament that's coming up!"
'Tournament?'
Well, it was a game world after all. Even if Ethos had something weird about Nick's world being a reflection of the game world.
Like any game this massive, it would have PvP aspects. The interesting part would be its reward system.
"A tournament?" Nick asked with a half smile, also glad that the mood in the room was no longer 'Let's go kill the newbie!!'
Juliana crossed her arms and turned away with a huff. Then she tilted her head and spoke slowly with a strong hint of sarcasm.
"Well, I would love to tell you about it. But unfortunately, my king has been taken by this man named Nick, who even allowed a random stranger in his kingdom."
Nick rolled his own eyes as he turned to Amelia. The second she felt his gaze she turned away, hoping to stay out of the conversation.
A small sigh escaped his lips as he fought back a laugh. Of course, she would be shy here, and Juliana would be abrasive.
This was the cost of living with hot girls then.
"Juliana... he's not a stranger. He's just someone you don't know–"
"Uh, N-Nick. I, I think that's what a stranger is."
He paused for a moment to fight back but then realized he really couldn't. She was right, he had picked a very poor choice of words.
"Well, ok then. He is a stranger, ok. However, he's a good stranger! He's going to help us make the good stuff."
Juliana's eyes widened at that. Then she slowly walked over to Nick before leaning to whisper, "Hey, y-you know what that means, right?"
'What does it mean? He's just growing plants!' Nick looked at Juliana, completely confused. Turning to Ivan, he didn't find anything out of the ordinary.
He wore dark shades and had a goatee. His wardrobe screamed Hawaiian–a floral shirt, short khakis, hairy legs, and sandals. Surprisingly, he didn't seem to have been affected by Juliana's attempted slaughter at all. In fact, he just stood there saying, "What would you like me to do?" over and over.
NPCs were weird.
"Nick, when you speak like that it means he's making ghynta! You know, the shet you smoke to get high?"
Weed?
This game has fecking weed?!
What the hell!
And why was the game turning him into some kind of drug lord! Amelia already has money!!!
"Uh, actually, I-I think it's talking about something else. Father, well, he used to talk about this plant called Ghynto. Basically, it was a remedial herb that made people feel better."
Medical Marijuana then?!
What the hell kind of kingdom was he making?
"What would you like me to do?"
The NPC really wanted to work. Well, he had a high classification so it was to be expected.

Defeated, Nick muttered, "Yeah yeah. Go ahead, and plant your weed."
The second he received his order, Ivan dematerialized. For a moment Nick thought he had died. His heart fluttered in his chest as he began having a mini heart attack.
Then the system showed that he had actually begun working, and Nick let out a sigh of relief.
Following that was a few seconds of awkward silence.
For some reason, Juliana was still angry about something. After she had spent her morning terrorizing that restaurant owner and the night terrorizing Nick and Ivan, he thought she'd cool down at least a little.
But no, she was a tsundere to her core.
Amelia tried to say something to end the silence, but each attempt only ended with her cheeks flushing a deep red.
The room was so silent that Nick could even hear the flap of Ugyr's wings. That dragon lady man was enjoying invisibility far too much...
During the little restaurant incident, she had even pickpocketed a few people. He didn't really understand why, because Amelia had generational wealth.
She could snap her fingers and boom. Jewels. Plenty of them.
Nick looked at Juliana, shuddering at the thought.
...
Soon they found the silence beyond unbelievable, so Nick asked Amelia if she could give them a tour through town. Of course, she said yes. With slightly flushed cheeks, as usual.
The first thing she led them to was what Nick was most interested in– the tournament.
It turned out there were 2 separate brackets, one for guilds and one for individuals.
'Huh. So this game world has guilds. That makes sense.' Nick looked at Amelia and Juliana, wondering if he could make a guild just with his valkyries.
If it was possible, then one day that would probably be the greatest guild.
For now, it didn't really bother Nick all that much because the rewards on the guild side were meaningless for him. First place got 100 million gold. Big deal when he had his own Scrooge McDuck.
Turning his attention to the individual reward section, his eyes almost instantly grew wide. He knew these rewards very well.
They were the same ones from the beta of Aether Babes.
In that tournament, everyone who made it to the top 8 got at least a decent reward. However, the one who got first place... well he got one of the best rings in the game:
The [Circlet of Rewinding].
In the game, it had reduced the party's cooldowns by a turn. He didn't really know how that would translate to this game world. It was obvious that the ring would still be very powerful though.
Looking at the start date for the tournament, he saw that the tournament was going to start in just a month.
For now, all he could do was register. The system instructed him to merely raise his hand. Seconds after doing so, a soft light connected with his hand, and then he saw his name on a list with hundreds of people.
After a month of training, Nick was sure he'd be able to defeat all of them.
"Hey, look. It's another person I'll easily defeat!"
A singular, annoying voice called out from the bustling crowd around them. Amelia had said there were over 100 registration spots around town, so Nick knew it was rotten luck that this annoying idiot found them.
As Juliana's lightning sent the annoying man flying, Nick knew there was going to be another mess to clean up.
