Transmigrated to Another World and Doted on by Everyone!-Chapter 258: Extra: Ancient Times (Part 11)
Even so, Ding Yixin adjusted his posture and using his body to shield Rong Xingyu from the slightly chilly night breeze.
"Who would dare curse you?"
Rong Xingyu shrugged.
He leaned back naturally and letting himself rest comfortably in Ding Yixin’s embrace.
"Who else could it be? It should be that disgusting scumbag father of Mu Lin."
Ding Yixin: ...
Sensing the silence from the person behind him, Rong Xingyu turned his head within Ding Yixin’s arms.
Seeing the faintly darkened expression on his face, he could not help but let out a soft laugh.
"Why so serious?" Rong Xingyu reached up and poked Ding Yixin’s cheek with a finger. "The one he’s cursing is Mu Lin, not me."
Ding Yixin caught the hand Rong Xingyu was using to make mischief on his face.
He then brought it to his lips and pressing a gentle kiss to it.
"Mm."
Rong Xingyu lazily yawned in Ding Yixin’s arms and a trace of moisture gathering at the corners of his eyes.
"Sleepy?" Seeing how drowsiness seemed to come over Rong Xingyu so suddenly, Ding Yixin could not help but let out a soft laugh.
Rong Xingyu nodded obediently.
He lifted his arms toward Ding Yixin, his voice turning soft and syrupy with sleepiness.
"I want to be carried."
Ding Yixin lowered his head and placed a kiss on Rong Xingyu’s forehead.
As Rong Xingyu wished, he lifted him up in a waist embrace.
Rong Xingyu had not expected that just because he was too lazy to go looking for trouble with the people from the Mu residence, they would actually have the nerve to come knocking on his door themselves.
He looked at the letter sent from the Mu residence wearing the exact expression of an old man on the subway staring at a phone.
"I recognize these traditional characters when they’re separated, so why can’t I understand them when they’re put together?"
Xiaomei who was brewing tea for Rong Xingyu nearby tilted her head in confusion when she heard this. "Eh?"
Understand or not understand, what exactly was Madam talking about?
Seeing Ding Yixin walk in from outside, Xiaomei quickly and deftly poured the tea, then tactfully withdrew.
As soon as Ding Yixin entered, he saw Rong Xingyu propping his chin on one hand, while the other hand held a piece of paper with obvious distaste.
He lifted his arm and drew Rong Xingyu into his embrace.
Ding Yixin raised an eyebrow. "What is this?"
Just what had he seen for Rong Xingyu to wear such a disgusted expression?
Rong Xingyu flicked the letter slightly and signaling for Ding Yixin to read it himself.
After scanning through it quickly, Ding Yixin could not help but laugh.
"What exactly is that Mu Hong thinking, to still have the nerve to write something like this?"
Just thinking about the contents of this "family letter" left Rong Xingyu feeling speechless.
The gist was that ever since his beloved daughter had married into the General’s residence, Mu Hong and his wife had been missing her every day.
The old matriarch that was already advanced in years had even fallen ill from longing for her precious granddaughter.
Thus, Mu Hong presumptuously requested that "Mu Yao" be allowed to return home to visit her grandmother, so the old lady could be reassured.
The wording of the letter was exceedingly sincere, it truly looked like something written by a loving father who deeply cherished his daughter.
But Mu Hong probably had not expected that this letter would never reach Ding Yixin’s hands directly and that Rong Xingyu could casually open correspondence addressed to the General.
Possessing the original owner’s memories and knowing full well what kind of person this scumbag father really was, Rong Xingyu nearly felt like throwing up his overnight meal after reading the letter.
That scumbag father’s skin was thicker than a city wall!
"What does Yuyu think?" Ding Yixin gently stroked Rong Xingyu’s hair with affection.
On this matter, Ding Yixin had no intention of interfering.
Rong Xingyu could do whatever he wished and all Ding Yixin needed to do was stand behind him and fully support any decision he made.
"Of course I’m going." Rong Xingyu narrowed his eyes, a sly expression like that of a little fox appearing on his face once more.
Since they had already set up a Hongmen Banquet, how could he possibly not go and crash it?
Rong Xingyu placed his hand into Ding Yixin’s palm and was helped down from the carriage.
It was not that Rong Xingyu was deliberately putting on airs, this set of women’s clothing truly restricted his movements quite a bit.
Although the dress was beautiful, the hem was cut quite narrowly.
Rong Xingyu could only carefully control his steps to avoid tripping even on flat ground.
On top of that, the hair ornaments pinned into his hair were quite heavy.
Rong Xingyu: "..."
Being a woman was really exhausting.
Meanwhile, Ding Yixin leaned close to Rong Xingyu’s ear and said in a low voice, "Yuyu looks beautiful like this too."
Rong Xingyu coughed lightly, as if to say: Isn’t that obvious?
But the corners of his lips still lifted unconsciously.
Then he heard Ding Yixin continue, "When we go back tonight, don’t take it off, stay like this, alright?"
Rong Xingyu: "..."
Heh.
Rong Xingyu’s face flushed slightly, yet he could not help secretly reaching out to pinch Ding Yixin’s waist.
What was he thinking!
Ding Yixin did not get angry after being pinched.
Seeing Rong Xingyu’s slightly embarrassed and annoyed expression, the fondness in his eyes only deepened.
He wrapped an arm around Rong Xingyu’s waist and slowing his pace to accommodate him.
The two walked forward together toward the people of the Mu residence.
To show the importance they placed on "Mu Yao’s" return visit, Mu Hong, his wife, and quite a few others were waiting outside the residence to greet them.
Rong Xingyu’s gaze swept quickly over the group.
Only the "bedridden" old madam and the real Mu Yao were not among them.
