Transmigrated To A Beastworld As The Lazy Wife Of The Fox Lord-Chapter 48: Riding a queen bee.
The bird beast men on the vanguard took to the air just as the queen bee’s massive shadow fell across the hull of the ship. Her wings beat like thunder. Elias stood on the deck, his six tails bristling with fire.
"Sienna, get back inside." He bellowed.
Sienna, however, was not cowed. She stood at the edge of the deck, her hair whipping in the wind. Her lips curled into a defiant smile. "I told you Elias, she is my friend. The queen bee has not attacked you, has she?"
He squinted. "It doesn’t mean she won’t. You endangered our daughter," he snarled, voice echoing across the deck, "Now you want to prove a point? What exactly is it?"
She did not reply. Before anyone could stop her, she leapt. The guards gasped, claws, tails and wings flaring in horror as her body vanished below. The shadow of the queen bee vanished following after Sienna.
Elias’s heart clenched--rage and fear twisting together. He was already preparing to dive after her when, five seconds later, the impossible happened.
Sienna reappeared astride the queen bee.
The fierce queen bee, which was feared all over the continent was being used like a horse! Sienna sat tall upon its back, her hands gripping the ridges of its thorax as though she had been born to ride it. The queen bee flew slowly, hovering obediently.
Sienna smirked at Elias, her eyes daring him to challenge her.
Elias’s tails lashed, sparks scattering into the air. "You crazy reckless woman." he growled, his voice trembling with both fury and awe. "What have you done? Do you thinking making friends with a bee makes you invincible? Get back on this ship."
Sienna leaned forward, stroking the bee’s armored head. "Not invincible. But stronger. Now I can go on my adventures with more confidence because I have a personal venomous bodyguard."
"Mama...mama..." Ali came running out to the deck. "I want to ride too."
Eli followed slowly, hands behind his back. His eyes had a childish longing but his lips remained thin, like he was as angry and frustrated as his father.
"Mama, please!" Ali cried, her voice breaking with desperation. "I want to sit with you."
Sienna’s heart softened instantly and she urged the bee to move closer to the ship for the little one to board. But Elias was not having it. His tail lashed against the railing in protest. "No. Absolutely not. This beast nearly killed you Sienna, I will not risk Ali’s life again."
The bee’s antennae dropped.
Sienna glared at her husband. "See what you have done. You have hurt her feelings. She is no monster, she is a beautiful baby."
The antennae perked right up.
The guards laughed.
Sienna looked at Ali gently, "Baby, when we get home, I will take you riding. I promise."
But Ali’s sobs grew louder, echoing across the deck. The servants and guards shifted uncomfortably. They audience in the live stream was outraged for the little one.
"My lord, she won’t stop." Nanny Fortunate reminded Elias.
Elias gestured at three bird beast men, "Surround the bee, if she slips, you catch her." His tail curled around Ali, lifting her gently from the deck. "Very well," he muttered, his voice low with reluctant surrender. "If you slip, I will double your etiquette lessons."
Ali was too excited to care. She was deposited onto the bee’s back, nestled safely in front of Sienna. Elias’s tail lingered protectively, even as he released her. Bird beast men flew in formation around them ready to swoop in should disaster strike.
Ali’s tears were replaced by a a radiant smile. Sienna gently taught her how to hold on to the ridges without hurting the bee The little one squealed with delight as the creature’s wings beat in rhythm with her joy. The queen bee carried them with surprising gentleness, her massive body moving like a cradle in the sky.
"It is the size of an elephant." A guard said.
"Good thing we have space for it." Another replied.
Nanny Fortunate sighed and turned to look at the fox lord. "My lord, you do realize that the young mistress will be demanding for rides on a daily basis."
Elias sighed. "Sienna!" he dragged out the name in a low voice. It was as if she was to blame for every bad thing that had happened on the Beast continent.
He raised his eyes, glaring at the drone which was still hovering above. With one move, it was shattered to pieces.
"Why did you do that?" Timothy asked.
Elias clenched his jaw. "Because I am not interested in having tea with the royals again."

But despite his wish, the live stream had gone too viral to be missed by the beast king. He and his wife had watched it in the throne hall, with a dozen courtiers and five noble vanguard generals. They had all been staring in awe at the vision of Sienna and Ali riding on the back of the queen bee when the live stream was suddenly ended.
"Did she tame it?" The beast queen’s sparkled with admiration. "What happened between the queen bee trying to kill her, the rescue and its pursuit?"
None of the beast men in the room could respond to her question for they had no answers. They had tamed horses, hunting dogs, hunting bird not bees!
"Should we confiscate the queen bee?" A general asked.
Queen Serenya laughed. "Under what law? And good luck getting Elias Veythar to give up his family’s new pet."
The King’s face twisted with envy. His claws dug into his throne, his mane bristling with frustration. "Intolerable! hateful!" he roared, startling the council. "We are royalty and we don’t have a queen bee but the human does?"
The generals exchanged uneasy glances. One spoke cautiously, "Your highness, perhaps it is the blessing of the Beast God. This queen bee could be a guardian for our world."
But the king’s pride was wounded. "I am the king, I should be the one riding the guardian. The queen bee should have been mine. Summon every priest from every tribe so that they can explain how a reckless human woman can ride on the back of a queen bee."
Queen Serenya placed a calming hand on his arm, her voice soothing him. "Envy will not serve us. If you desire it that much, we can go on a hunt of our own and find you a queen bee. But we all know how bees react to beast men. Maybe it accepted her because she is human. We should not make any rush moves but wait and see."
The king’s tantrum shook the council, his jealousy spilling like fire. "Hmph! if Elias and his wife think they can ride their queen bee and make me envious, they are dreaming. I don’t care. I don’t care at all."
