"Hmm? You want to duel with me?" Ren was not surprised by the challenge because he saw it coming the moment Nolan showed his fury.

"Yes!" Nolan replied. "Fight me if you dare! Otherwise, stay away from Fairy Evelyn from now on and get out of here."

"Accept the challenge and crush him, leader!" Kairos shouted. "Show him that being a disciple of Misty Palace doesn’t mean he is stronger or better than everyone else."

"Crush him and let him know his place!" Dan said.

"Sure." Ren agreed instantly.

Right after Nolan jumped into the arena, Evelyn stepped down, watching them from the sidelines.

Nolan didn’t attack Ren right away; instead, he glanced at Evelyn.

’Fairy Evelyn, I will show you that I’m the only man who deserves to be with you.’

He retrieved his staff from his space ring and returned his attention to Ren.

"I will crush you now!" golden lightning spiraled above his staff when Nolan raised it.

The sky suddenly darkened, and a vortex of flame and howling wind came into existence, forming a single storm of divine wrath.

With a roar, Nolan swung his staff forward. "Heavenfire Tempest!"

The storm, which was a fusion of black flame and golden lightning, surged forth, ripping through the air and twisting space as it raced toward Ren.

The disciples of Misty Palace grinned happily when they saw the raging storm.

The Heavenfire Tempest magic had turned countless foes to ashes without fail until now.

Whenever he unleashed it, none of his enemies survived.

They believed Ren would meet the same fate because no one had ever withstood its burning fury.

"It’s a good magic to scare weaklings, but it’s nothing when aimed at me." Ren retrieved his sword from his space ring and raised it.

The air suddenly twisted around him, and spiritual energy gathered in his sword.

The storm grew fiercer as Ren used his Divine skill, charging at him with overwhelming violence and fury.

But before it reached him, he swung his sword in a single, fluid motion.

A crescent arc of silver light shot forward, slicing through the air at an incredible speed.

The raging storm vanished into nothingness when the slash hit it as if the storm was swallowed by the void.

Nolan’s expression instantly changed.

The grin on his face vanished, and terror quickly took its place.

Heavenfire Tempest was one of his two strongest magic.

It had never failed to kill his enemies before, so when Ren’s slash destroyed it so easily, Nolan’s confidence shattered, replaced by fear that he could not hide.

"Senior brother!" disciples of Misty Palace shouted worriedly when Nolan only stared at the incoming slash without doing anything.

When the strike was about to hit Nolan, the necklace he wore flared to life on its own, surrounding him with a barrier of glowing energy.

However, the barrier still could not withstand the full force of Ren’s slash, causing cracks to spread like a spiderweb across its surface.

When he was about to create a stone shield, the slash shattered his barrier.

"Cough..." blood splashed out of his mouth as he was thrown out of the arena.

Even though he was still alive, his body was in a terrible state. His ribs were broken, and blood came out from the wound without stopping.

He even could not stand up anymore because Ren’s attack had injured him severely to the point that even moving a single finger gave him immense pain.

"Senior brother!" disciples of Misty Palace rushed toward him and helped him sit up.

One of them gave him a healing pill, but even so, his wound didn’t fully heal.

"Hmm? Didn’t you say you were a genius mage? Then, why did you lose in a single move? Were you lying to me?" Ren didn’t kill Nolan immediately because mocking him was more satisfying.

"As I thought, he is a weakling!"

Instead, she shifted her gaze to Ren because he was standing in the arena.

"Are you the one who injured my disciple?" An aura of fury radiated from her, and every single one of her words was filled with coldness

"That’s right." Ren answered honestly.

He used his system to check her strength.

"Then, you can die now!" Nathalie retrieved her staff from her space ring and unleashed one of her strongest magic.

When a powerful blazing meteor flew toward Ren, Evelyn bit her lower lip and clenched her fist angrily.

She didn’t want him to get hurt, but at the same time, she could not fight Nathalie because Nathalie was the first elder of Misty Palace.

She suddenly remembered the time when she had mistaken him for dead.

"Stop me? Do you think you can do that?" Nathalie’s eyes gleamed with terrifying sharpness as she stared at Althea.

But when she was about to attack Althea, Nolan coughed up blood again.

"Cough...cough...cough..." The healing pill was not enough to heal his wounds because he was heavily injured.

"Senior brother!" Liora and the others shouted worriedly.

"You should leave now or else they will make things difficult for you later." Of course, Ren felt the same way, but he could not be selfish in this situation because they were on different sides now.

Evelyn looked at her fellow disciples before returning her attention to him. "I will look for you later."

Once Evelyn left, Althea descended from the sky.

"What is your relationship with her?" she asked curiously.
