Transmigrated into a Parvenu’s Ex-wife in the ‘90s-Chapter 366: Shu Yan saw a big bundle of roses, at least several hundreds of them. (2)
There was a bathroom but it did not have a flushable toilet. It had wooden toilet. It did not have a sink either. The only saving grace was running water. Otherwise, they would have to carry water upstairs to wash up.
“I just asked the village head. We will be able to rent boats here. I’ll go ask around and see if we can rent one in the next couple of days. If so, we can go on a boat ride tomorrow?” said Feng Zeyu.
“You should get some rest too. We got time. There is no rush.” Five days were more than enough for a small fishing town like this.
“It’s fine. I am not tired. You get some rest. I’ll walk around outside and see if there is any fishing boats that are just pulling in. I might be able to get some fresh seafood.”
Tianbao’s eyes lit up when he heard seafood. He loved seafood.
The small fishing village was very quiet. Occasionally, a few kids would giggle and run past them. Feng Zeyu’s lips curved upward and he headed toward the wharf in a brisk and cheerful pace.
He was lucky. A fishing boat had just returned. Feng Zeyu walked up to them to see if there were boats for rent that could take them out fishing.
“Yeah, we have those in our fleet, but it’s not the large kind. You can rent a smaller one for 200 yuan. You get to cast the net three times and you can keep everything that you catch. The weather will be nice in the next few days so you will be able to go tomorrow.” It was no big deal taking a few people out fishing. Anywhere close would do.
“That works. Let’s do that.” Feng Zeyu paid him a deposit. Looking at the seafood that they were uploading, he asked with a smile, “Will you sell some of these? I would like to try some.”
“If you don’t mind, I can give you some smaller ones for free.” Seafood is divided up into large, small, good and bad. The big and fresh ones would be picked out for sale and the smaller ones or the ones about to die would be divided up among the fishermen for their own consumption or as gifts.
A fishing village had no shortages of seafood and everyone grew up eating them. Many families would dry them and they make good gifts when they give them to out-of-town relatives.
“I can’t do that. It wasn’t easy for you to catch them. I must buy them from you.” Feng Zeyu didn’t want to take advantage of them.
The boss of the boat picked some out for Feng Zeyu and shoved them into his hand. “There’s too much for us anyway. They are not worth anything. Be here at 7 AM tomorrow morning. Oh right, do you get sea sick? If not, I suggest taking some sea sickness medications beforehand.”
“I’ll ask when I get back.” That had never occurred to Feng Zeyu before.
When he returned with a bag of seafood, Zhang Qiang’s wife quickly took it from him. “You get some rest. I’ll bring them up when they are ready.”
“Ah, thank you.” Feng Zeyu went upstairs and rinsed off his hands and feet before he walked inside of the room.
Shu Yan didn’t get seasick and the two children were fine with cars and planes so boats should be fine as well? Shu Yan hesitated for a little while and decided to bring medicines for sea sickness with them tomorrow, just to be on the safe side.
The family thoroughly enjoyed the tableful of fresh seafood that came straight from the ocean. Tianbao, in particular, had it all over him.
“Mom, when are we coming again?”
“We just got here today and you are already thinking about next time?” Shu Yan poked him on his forehead. “We’ve always treated you nice at home.”
Tianbao loved seafood and JingJing liked it as well. As such, Hu Ruixue would send seafood over to them all the time, both fresh and dried ones. They had seafood almost daily. Shu Yan had no idea how Tianbao could still crave seafood this much.
“These are better.”
“This is novel to you right now. Let’s see how you like it after 5 days.” Shu Yan peeled a shrimp for him. “Hurry up and eat. We will go walk around the beach when you are done.”
