Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game-Chapter 281: Partial Awakening [ 4 ]
Merilyn opened the doors, and as expected, I was met with hundreds of gazes of scrutiny. There were tens of rows of seats all around the room, and in the very center was a court-like stand. There was even a judge sitting there in that casual judge attire I remembered from my old world.
Still, I felt like whatever bullshit they’re going to do to me won’t be nice, since most of these people here despised me.
In one of the stands, I spotted all the saviors. Kai in particular was giving me quite the complicated look, and if I remembered correctly, he was the person who ran away and snitched to Ren about what was happening there.
He was the reason why Clementine and I were separated.
...So he’s also going to be the very first person I kill once I get out of this place.
Regardless of that, I continued walking ahead, until eventually, I arrived at the lone chair in front of the judge. There were no tables or anything else around, which almost made it look like some humiliation ritual.
And clearly, Merilyn thought the same as she whispered:
"These bastards... How are they planning to make you look favorable when they treat you like this? "
I was honestly starting to grow a bit fond of her kindness, but then again, I’m clearly not the best judge of character if even my Guardian is scheming behind my back.
Still, I decided to just nod at Merilyn to assure her I was fine, and finally, I sat down on the chair. It was a squeaky and uncomfortable chair. Not to mention, the seat was wet, and I could only imagine what they had wet it with.
"Hahahaha!"
"Look at that idiot..."
"Traitor!"
Was a show of weakness or fear really what they wanted from me?
How petty.
"Amon Everness, do you know why you’re here today?" the judge called out, his crimson eyes narrowing at me as the familiar distaste resounded in his voice.
I turned toward him. I didn’t recognize him, as he wasn’t some big-shot Demon King or Demon Emperor. In fact, he was just some ordinary Demon Baron who had enough influence to be a judge in my trial.
Odd...
"I’ve got no clue, so could you fill me in?" I answered.
Then, I locked eyes with Morr, who just so happened to be sitting right beside Ren, the Demon Emperor of Despair.
It was almost like he didn’t want to hide his allegiance anymore.
"..."
Whatever.
The judge scoffed. "You’ve got no clue? You’re responsible for the death of four Demon Kings. One Demon Emperor is also currently in a coma due to your actions. You’ve decimated a vital part of the Demon Realm too, the Ocean of Chaos."
I raised a brow, then pointed at the saviors.
"Those same Demon Kings who you’re talking about have already appointed those four as their successors. Go ahead and give them the blood of those Demon Kings. That way, the numbers will be back to normal."
Before he could reply, I added:
"And as for the ocean... Who gives a shit? That ocean has one big ass crab there just killing other predators. If you want a better idea, why not just send some prisoners down there so they can kill the predators instead?"
"Preposterous!" the judge yelled. "Silence yourself, and realize where you stand. You filth have neglected every single law that has been imposed onto the Demon Realm. Your actions have consequences that will not be left unpunished."
He narrowed his eyes once more.
"Death is too lenient of a punishment. Your soul... Give us your soul and we’ll decide your fate then."
Is this guy braindead?
No...
Why am I even asking?
It’s clear he’s braindead.
I let out a sigh, then stood up from my wet chair. It only took a single gesture for my pants to become dry again. But now that I was slowly walking toward the judge, every other demon present had finally realized just how much of a threat I actually posed.
So before I could even take five full steps, four Demon Dukes descended in front of me, wearing beautiful steel armor sets and blocking my way toward the judge, who just kept on screaming from the background.
"Seize him, and rip out his soul! If he doesn’t want to be loyal of his own will, then we will make him loyal!"
And as expected, the Demon Dukes followed his every word. Shadows and darkness enveloped me, trying to restrict my movements. It was honestly not that bad of an attempt, since if I was a little weaker, the Darkness Manipulation of six Demon Dukes could probably instantly kill me.
But now? I just felt a slight disturbance. Not to mention, with my Spatial Telekinesis knowledge firm in my mind, as well as the practical application I had learned from Wilhelm directly, I decided to show them just who they were trying to enslave.
They dashed toward me, and in that same instant, my energy elegantly wrapped around each of their Demonic Cores. It was near instant, and before any of the six Demon Dukes could even comprehend what I had done, I used Spatial Telekinesis to rip their cores directly out of their bodies without actually killing them straight up.
Because their Demonic Cores’ connection had been severed, I was able to store their Demonic Cores in my dimensional ring. Obviously, they were meant for Clementine, who’d turn them into her Soul Knights.
But now that I did what I did, the whole courtroom fell silent. A moment later, murmurs resounded, drowning the noises of the Demon Dukes’ bodies landing on the floor.
Yet that didn’t stop me from approaching the judge and climbing on the podium where he sat. I walked up to him, causing him to freeze up. Only now did he realize who he had messed with.
Though sadly for him, it was too late to take it back as I went ahead and crushed his head in my palm. Afterwards, I tossed his body off the podium and sat down in his place.
Silence descended once again, but it was broken by my chuckle.
"Let’s try this again, shall we?"
