Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game-Chapter 262: Hell Raid Arc [ 5 ]
Clementine tapped the forehead of the man, and in the next instant, he calmed down completely.
This time, Kai didn’t say anything, and instead, he just sat down beside the man, then narrowed his eyes.
"Alright then, this one’s a good charm, so shall we ask a question each?" he proposed.
I shook my head. "It doesn’t matter. Just ask your questions from earlier."
Kai pouted slightly, but still did just that.
"Why do you have a portal to the Demon Realm?"
"We’re... Our main base is in the Demon Realm."
"Oh? Then does that mean you’re getting support from any of the demons inside?"
"..." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
A trickle of blood ran down from the man’s nose. I was a little puzzled, since this was only one question so far. Did he have something limiting him from answering?
"Yes. We have a group of Demon Dukes helping us."
"Hmm..." Kai fell into thought for a moment, then turned to Lana.
"What do you think, my fair maiden?"
"I think you should come up with a better nickname for me," she replied plainly and stepped forward.
She casually crouched down and met the man’s eyes, then said:
"Where are your strongest soldiers gathered?"
"...Inside the Demon Realm."
"Hmm..." Lana turned back to Kai and nodded.
As if they had just come to some mutual understanding, Kai stood up, dusted himself off, and suddenly pulled out a giant glaive, the same one he had used in his fight against me.
But right as he was about to swing down and end the man’s life, I chimed in, freezing his glaive in place with my Telekinesis, and then slightly pushing it back.
He didn’t say a word, nor did I as I approached the man alongside Clementine and asked the question Kai had forgotten to ask.
"Why are you killing so many humans?"
"..."
"Equal exchange..."
"Equal exchange?"
"In exchange for the hearts of humans... We get the blood of powerful demons that we can use to grow stronger and become immortal."
Hmm...
I don’t know what I expected.
In the end, the reason why all these killings happened was purely for selfish reasons.
Basically, whatever hint of pity I had for these people was now gone, and from Clementine’s dark expression, I knew she had also come to the same conclusion.
If humans collude with demons, that makes them as bad as demons.
And although I was a hypocrite who’s doing the same thing, I’ll sure as shit kill all the other hypocrites.
So with that in mind, I suddenly focused my Telekinesis on Kai’s glaive and yanked it out of his grasp. Since he wasn’t expecting me to do that, he couldn’t hold onto it, and so, as I held the glaive firmly in my grasp, I brought it down onto the man in front of me, slashing him directly in two.
As his body folded and fell into two pieces, my expression turned cold.
"Kill every single person here."
The moment my words rang out, every single savior beside me vanished, almost like they had been waiting for someone to give the go-ahead.
The only person who stayed was Kai, but as for Lana, Liam, and even Sylas, they hovered over the miniature city. For some reason, Lana and Sylas weren’t doing anything. Instead, they were just staring at Liam.
Clementine, Kai, and I were a little confused by that. However, we quickly realized why everyone was so still when Liam finally opened his mouth.
At first, his mouth opened normally, but with every passing second, it continued to open wider and wider, until it was no longer natural.
That was when a black hand slowly crawled out of Liam’s mouth, followed by another hand, then a pitch-black head, and lastly, the rest of some dark being’s body.
Once that being crawled out of Liam’s mouth, Liam suddenly fell to the floor, his pulse vanishing, and his energy dissipating completely. But on the other hand, the being that had just appeared was much more overwhelming than I had first expected, as just from the energy alone, it rivaled Kai.
And when it finally stood in a human-like manner, tiny slits appeared, revealing dark crimson eyes. Then, the being vanished before suddenly reappearing in front of one of the humans down below.
With the same ruthlessness that matched its appearance, it tore through human after human, relentlessly killing everyone and everything in sight by using nothing but raw strength and speed.
"Jeez, the fuck is that thing?" Kai mumbled.
I shrugged. "I have no idea... But I can kind of see why Liam had the confidence to say he’d kill us. That thing looks pretty menacing."
"I know right?"
Clementine pinched my side and pouted slightly.
When I turned to her, she just looked away, her cheeks puffed out, almost like she was mad at me. Since she looked like a chipmunk, I grabbed her by the cheek and pulled slightly, causing her to grumble in frustration.
I knew it was probably because I was talking to Kai, and so far, Kai’s one of our biggest enemies, since we already had a history with him.
Anyhow... The three of us just watched as Liam’s... shadow, maybe... continued his rampage?
And in just a couple more minutes, the whole city was cleared out as corpses littered the ground. But not for long, as Lana soon stepped in and turned every single one of those corpses into her undead warriors, much like what Clementine could do, except Clementine’s Gift was much stronger than Lana’s.
Also, it wasn’t like Clementine would waste her energy on some weak beings like these, since if a fight were to break out, these weaklings would just eat up her energy.
Though, right as I thought it was over and done with, and we were about to go deal with the rest of the beings inside the Demon Realm, I suddenly felt something strange behind me.
I turned around, but I couldn’t see anything. When I tried to focus, I felt that same strange feeling push me back, not allowing my perception to escape the chasm.
The faint vibrations and gusts of wind that brushed against my skin led me to believe that someone was fighting above us.
...But who would be fighting here at a time like this?
