Chapter 212: Training [ 7 ]

With those words, I focused on the distant mountain range, and with a single thought, I summoned a single beam of lightning over there, then abruptly teleported.

The moment I arrived, Kevin jumped up, startled by my sudden appearance. As for the others, they didn’t react as much.

Glancing over at the boulder that had a few gashes in it, I smiled slightly.

"You’re makin’ some decent progress."

"Am I? It doesn’t feel like it."

"It’s only because you’re hesitating. When I first got a hang of Sword Intent, I only needed to push past my limit and slash the wooden sword down with all my strength. The only thing I was thinking about at that moment was cutting into the wall and not breaking the wooden sword."

I patted Kevin on the back.

"I’ll set a deadline for you. If you don’t get a hang of it in the next four hours, I’ll consider drop-kicking you off this mountain and having someone else take your place."

He froze.

Seeing his serious expression, I let out a chuckle.

"I’m just kidding. But try your best. We really don’t have much time."

"...I understand."

Good.

I moved away from him and walked over to Clementine. To my surprise, she had somehow managed to convince Melina to sing. With every note that she hit, the surroundings shook slightly, and clearly, it was working as intended.

Though, when I spotted the red mark on Melina’s cheek, I realized that Clementine might’ve just slapped some sense into her.

Either way, a win is a win.

Lastly, there was Isabelle...

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

Morr was perched atop her head, and around her, there were two Guardians. Both of them seemed extremely powerful, nearly as powerful as Morr. Also, both of them seemed to be some kind of Frost or Ice Guardians.

I approached Isabelle. The moment she saw me, she turned toward me and smiled.

Just then, Morr’s voice resounded inside my head.

[You have brought a very powerful being here. I am very surprised by how talented she is.]

I was about to reply, but I figured that if Isabelle can talk with Morr inside her mind, so can I.

’Are those two Guardians hers?’

[They are.]

It worked.

’Sheesh... So how many more can she get? Or is this the limit?’

Morr paused for a moment.

[I am not sure she has a limit. If anything, her limit is the amount of energy she has, but because of what you did earlier, her reserves have nearly tripled. I am sure she can easily contract one or two more Guardians at this rate.]

Amazing...

Someone who could wield four Guardians... She’d basically jump up so high in the rankings.

If anything, even though she was around Grade 20, she’d easily be able to defeat Grade 40 or 50s with that many Guardians.

She was just way too overpowered.

[I’ll continue training her, so don’t bother me until the gala.]

Rude.

But oh well.

It’s not like I knew how Morr was helping her get this many Guardians in the first place.

Either way, since the training was going to be pretty stale from here on, I decided to put some focus on my own training while also helping out Kevin.

And before I knew it...

(6 days later...)

As I sat there inside the mountain, I glanced at the rising sun.

Today’s the day the gala starts.

I’m guessing since it’s still early morning, it’ll start shortly after lunch.

With those thoughts, I snapped my fingers and teleported to my lightning at the top of the mountain.

By now, Kevin had slashed several dozen boulders, and thankfully, he managed to grasp Sword Intent.

He was in the process of learning Sword Heart too, but he was struggling. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Though, it wasn’t really his fault.

His swordsmanship made it really hard to simplify movements. After all, he needed a lot of bursts of energy in a very short span to even make it work.

Basically, he lacks fundamentals.

On the other hand, there was also Melina.

"Aaaaaaah! You slimy bitch! Get away from me!"

She ran across the mountain, trying to get away from Clementine.

However, Clementine effortlessly closed the distance and pinned Melina down.

A warm smile appeared on her face.

"Your scream was in the wrong tune, Melina."

"Y-You devil!"

They were getting along nicely.

And as for Isabelle, when I glanced over at her, I was shocked to see five small yet extremely powerful Guardians circling around her. They were chatting about random things and basically screwing with her ears.

Still, with five Guardians, she now had enough potential to become one of the strongest people in the world.

Finally, Morr hopped off her head and flew over to me. It tried to land on my head, but I swatted it off, forcing it to land on my shoulder instead.

[You are very stingy.]

’And you’re very bold. Did you get what you were looking for?’

Morr let out a chuckle.

[I have gotten more than I could’ve ever wished for. Rather, I do have a wish. Make sure this Isabelle woman does not perish in a stupid way. She has a lot of potential.]

Obviously.

’Get back in my head. We’re going to leave for the gala very soon.’

[Tsk...]

Morr disappeared.

The moment it did, I just stood there for a moment.

I had already told Clementine about her role, and she was surprisingly eager about piggyback riding me.

If anything, I had actually never let her do it. I only gave her princess carries and occasionally lifted her off the ground when we were kissing.

So basically, she’s going to enjoy it more than me... since I’ll need to beat up commoners or Alicia with a cane.

Either way, we were all as ready as we can be.

But before I go on and travel back to Aldraazan with my altered appearance and clothing, I wanted to take a look at my status.
