Transcending Realms With My Leveling System As A Demon-Chapter 79: Mordain Avaris Vs Noelle Crucifix 1
Zylus’s grin faded. "The Secret Chamber?"
"Yeah," one of them answered, "let’s go."
Zylus already knew about ’The Secret Chamber.’ During the time he was here, he acquired much knowledge, which included a marketer telling him all about it.
It was a place where executions were made, away from the public, things that shouldn’t be allowed but are conveniently not paid attention to. It’s a place of torture and pain to make the victim spit out information.
However, a rule made by the former Demon King stated that it’s allowed to be in use, as long as the criminal doesn’t comply and faces a terrible crime.
Now that Medrus has left, or now that he has died, it worked out for the fifth rank. He can open up the doors to anyone he chooses, and nobody can stop him. Only the other five, who live across different areas inside the Demon Realm.
Even with this, the new Demon King, now appointed Chris Tall, would never allow him to continue with these misdeeds. Yet, as long as it has to do with criminals and is within Mordain’s permitted authority, Chris wouldn’t be able to pay enough attention to stop those actions. Thus, it worked out heavily for him.
Prior, once Medrus first died, Mordain tried to make it seem like he was tirelessly saddened, but this wasn’t the case at all. He used the moment to bring about an innocent character act so he can trick all of them into not prying into his matters, ones that have to do with the chamber.
Only the top ten-ranked Demons inside the realm have access to it, aside from the Demon King himself, of course. And only so few knew of it, the ones who got word from somebody who escaped from there once.
The crowd that had watched Zylus began leaving, one by one, navigated by a trusted guard who surrounded every exit possible for the demons who were labeled as civilians.
"That was a great fight!"
"Definitely coming here again when Zarek’s back!"
"He fights tomorrow midnight, let’s get tickets right now."
"Good idea."
The crowd continued to gaslight themselves as they exited the colosseum.
"Oh, I see." Zylus whispered, as the knights turned around to lead him to this so-called ’The Secret Chamber.’
He paused, "So, you think you can use me?"

Both guards looked back, "Hey! Hurry up! We don’t have all day-"
Swift! In one swift movement, Zylus sliced both the guards’ arms in a perfect trace of movement.
Blood poured out of their arms, they looked down, and began screaming like true victims. Zylus’s victims.
Zylus chose not to finish them off, as he knew by the constant blood gushing, his objective would soon be completed.
"Glad the people have already been escorted out, so I can do this," Zylus said, looking at every empty seat inside the crowd, which had all left, since being navigated by the trusted guards that left after doing so.
"Ahhhhh!" Their screams turned more than painful, "My arm! My arm! It hurts!"
"Well," Zylus whispered, "you guys were probably going to do worse to me, so it’s an equal trade, don’t you think?"
Then, he paused on that thought, "a trade that just didn’t go your way."
Blood continuously poured from their arms, and the gear shattered quickly in the face of Zylus’s katana. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Even through this blood, the guards slightly giggled, "You shouldn’t have used your Demon System."
Zylus looked down, shaking his katana back and forth to remove the blood stains, "Why’s that?"
He looked back up, to where Mordain Avaris, the fifth rank, had been inside the glass barrier, when he wasn’t there anymore.
"Because," the guards who had lost their right arms and ached in pain on the floor, acquired complete numbness from their pain in the thought of Mordain coming, "he has come to slay you, you ignorant criminal."
Zylus looked forward as a man decked in a neat blue-suited outfit stepped slowly, with clean brown dress shoes and blue dress pants that matched his entire fit. It was none other than...
"So you are, Mordain Avaris."
Mordain opened his arms maliciously, "Oh! So you know me already, do you?" He grinned, looking up as his blonde hair brushed over his clean purple eyes, "Then, no introduction needed."
Zylus slowly stepped up, as Mordain stared at both of the guards who were protecting him, "Those idiots." He whispered, "I was going to kill them myself; I guess you did me a favor."
Zylus snapped, but wasn’t stupid enough to attack head-on like a brainless chicken.
"Anyways," Mordain continued, "why not join my ranks?" He asked, a shock to Zylus.
"Your ranks?" Zylus asked, "Why would I ever need to? I’m strong enough as is."
Zylus’s mask was slightly bent, but he properly shaped it back into his face. Mordain stood there, unfazed, with his purple gloves that fitted his long blue sleeves.
"Come on," he tried convincing Zylus, "money, women, riches, anything you want, I’ll get it. Plus, you’ll be stripped of your crime. I won’t let anybody say a thing anymore to you."
"Wait," Zylus stepped forward, "does that mean..."
"Oh," Mordain emotionlessly chuckled, "You figured it out already?"
"So," Zylus interrupted, putting a hand on his mask, "you let any sentenced criminal become one of your drones?"
"You got it." He pointed towards Zylus, then, putting a thumbs up, "good job! Now, what do you say?"
Zylus looked back at him as he slowly began taking off the mask.
"What do I say?" Zylus whispered, "Well, I say..."
His systemic flow began rising once more.
"That this will be the last face you see."
