Top-tier Unruly Master-Chapter 1922 - 1959: Entering the Auction House
"Sorry, miss, we do not allow entrance to the auction hall without an invitation."
At this moment, the auction hall consul was very respectful and did not become angry at Xia Ling’s seemingly unreasonable request. It should be noted that this consul was someone who had witnessed great events, and he sensed a unique aura emanating from Xia Ling, one that only sect elders or leaders could release. Thus, he dared not easily offend Xia Ling.
Upon hearing the consul’s words, Xia Ling’s lips curled into a subtle smile, and she calmly replied to the consul:
"Are you saying even the people from the Heavenly Sound Sect can’t enter?"
A fierce glint suddenly flashed in Xia Ling’s eyes as she stared intently at the consul and spoke with an icy voice.
The consul felt the chill in Xia Ling’s gaze and a glimmer of astonishment passed through his eyes; he trembled slightly and then asked Xia Ling with utmost respect:
"May I ask, are you referring to the Second-Class Peak power, the Heavenly Sound Sect?"
Xia Ling listened to the consul’s words, her lips curled slightly, and she nodded calmly.
Seeing Xia Ling’s reaction, the consul’s eyes widened, and an uncertain expression appeared on his face. The auction hall guards standing by displayed signs of surprise, and one quietly remarked to the consul:
"Sir, this seems suspicious. The Heavenly Sound Sect is tens of thousands of miles away; how could its members come to our small third-class city?"
"Sir, I also feel this is not right; we should investigate thoroughly before making a decision. If she truly is from the Heavenly Sound Sect, we dare not offend her under any circumstances..."
On hearing this, the consul nodded slightly, looking towards Xia Ling with a serious demeanor and spoke gently:
"Hello, Miss. May I see your Divine Realm identification? Recently, there have been many deceivers, and we must be cautious..."
Upon hearing the consul’s request, Xia Ling’s lips curled into a faint smile again as she leisurely took out her Divine Realm identity token from her bosom and spoke softly:
"Of course."
The consul, witnessing Xia Ling’s response, was astounded, eyed her with suspicion, and then took the Divine Realm identity token from her hand.
Upon clearly seeing the inscriptions on Xia Ling’s Divine Realm identity, the consul’s mouth dropped open in amazement, eyes filled with disbelief. A moment of stupefaction passed before he quickly donned a flattering smile and addressed Xia Ling with extreme respect:
"Madam, I sincerely apologize; I failed to recognize you, overlooking your distinguished status. With your identity, you may enter and exit the auction hall freely, regardless of an invitation."
The consul bowed deeply, avoiding Xia Ling’s gaze entirely. Witnessing the consul’s reaction, the surrounding guards were baffled, their mouths agape, and they exclaimed in shock:
"What on earth could the consul have perceived to show such respect to this young lady? It’s terrifying! Could she truly be from the Heavenly Sound Sect? Even so, the consul need not be so humble."
"This young lady must have an extraordinary status; everyone should tread carefully."
Upon hearing the guards’ remarks, the consul’s eyes revealed a hint of seriousness, his lips quivered slightly, and he whispered to them: 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"This lady is the wife of the Heavenly Sound Sect master; do you think such a status is esteemed?"
The consul deliberately mentioned Xia Ling as the wife of the Heavenly Sound Sect master, hoping to win her favor.
Hearing this, the guards around were astounded. Since Xia Ling claimed to be from the Heavenly Sound Sect, they were already shocked, but to think she was the sect master’s wife was beyond imagination.
The realization filled them with fear, their lips trembling slightly, and they quickly bowed deferentially to Xia Ling.
Even Xia Ling, hearing the consul’s words, snorted coldly but remembering Ding Fan outside, addressed the consul from a position of authority:
"I have an attendant outside; he can come in too, right?"
On hearing Xia Ling’s words, the consul instantly displayed a respectful demeanor, a smile flickered at his lips, and he addressed Xia Ling with great reverence:
"Madam Xia, your attendant is more than welcome to enter the auction hall; you are the most distinguished guest we have ever hosted!"
Observing the respectful and awed expressions on the faces before her, Xia Ling’s lips twitched into a subtle smile, but she quickly concealed it, shooting a glance before addressing everyone at the auction hall calmly:
"In that case, let’s head inside first!"
As she spoke, Xia Ling waved at Ding Fan, who was standing to the side. Ding Fan, noticing Xia Ling’s reaction, a hint of puzzlement appeared in his eyes. With a slight raise of his brow, he slowly walked over to Xia Ling’s side.
At this moment, the auction house’s consul saw the imposing Ding Fan, a flicker of surprise flashed in his eyes, and a smile immediately graced his face. He then moved his steps slightly and came up to Ding Fan, warmly saying:
"You must be Madam Xia’s friend, right? Hello, my name is Feng Yi, and I’m the consul here. Welcome to our auction house together with Madam Xia!"
Watching the consul’s attitude, Ding Fan couldn’t help but show a hint of surprise in his eyes. However, when he saw Xia Ling signaling to him from the side, a sudden look of understanding appeared in his eyes. He slightly curled his lips and then gently nodded.
Observing Ding Fan’s amiable demeanor, the auction house consul’s lips also curved slightly. He then respectfully bowed forward a little and said to Xia Ling and Ding Fan:
"Madam Xia, please come this way..."
As Ding Fan and Xia Ling noticed the consul’s attitude, they exchanged a glance and shared a smile in each other’s eyes. With a slight pause in their step, they followed the consul into the venue.
As Xia Ling and Ding Fan walked in, an enormous curtain appeared before them, from which arose a commotion of chatter.
On either side of the curtain stood two massive Yuan Beasts, each beast’s body was covered in chains. Beside them stood two divine warriors with excellent cultivation guarding them.
Seeing this, Ding Fan’s eyes were filled with astonishment. His gaze flickered, and he whispered to Xia Ling beside him:
"What kind of Yuan Beast is this, so gigantic, with a bull’s body and a huge dragon head..."
Upon hearing Ding Fan’s words, Xia Ling’s lips curled into a teasing smile. Her eyes flickered slightly as she slowly said to Ding Fan:
"That’s not just any Yuan Beast. In the Divine Realm, we call them Divine Beasts, and the one before you is the Cataclysm Dragon!"
Hearing Xia Ling’s words, Ding Fan’s eyes showed a hint of surprise, and he slightly smirked as he slowly said to Xia Ling:
"Cataclysm Dragon, what a domineering name..."
Seeing Ding Fan’s reaction, Xia Ling couldn’t help but cover her mouth and chuckle softly. Her eyes flickered as she said playfully to Ding Fan:
"There’s probably a lot more you don’t know..."
Listening to Xia Ling, Ding Fan gently nodded, a slight smile playing on his lips as he slowly said:
"It looks like coming to the Divine Realm was the right choice after all..."
While Ding Fan and Xia Ling were chatting, the auction house’s consul led them both inside the curtain. As they entered, their eyes brightened once more, each pair filled with astonishment.
In the center of the curtain stood an enormous platform, with several tall young women standing on either side. Around the curtain were numerous rooms, both large and small, each relatively independent but with a clear view of the stage.
As Ding Fan and Xia Ling entered, the auction house consul showed a flattering expression, slightly curling his lips as he ushered them into a spacious and comfortable room with an exceptionally broad view.
Xia Ling, upon seeing this, showed a satisfied expression on her face. With a slight smile, she commented to the consul:
"The rooms here aren’t bad at all..."
Hearing Xia Ling’s words, the consul’s face showed a solicitous smile, his expression broadening as he respectfully said to Xia Ling:
"Madam Xia, with your esteemed status, only such a room is worthy of you..."
Upon hearing the consul’s words, Xia Ling couldn’t help but look satisfied. She gave a slight nod before saying to the consul:
"Very well, you may leave now. Once I see something of interest, I’ll get in touch with you!"
The consul, upon hearing Xia Ling’s words, immediately showed an ingratiating expression, gently nodded twice, and bowed as he left the room.
Once the consul had fully exited, Xia Ling couldn’t hold back her amusement, her lips quivering slightly before bursting into hearty laughter.
