Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!-Chapter 712: Sister Man, Please Don’t Get Into Trouble (2)
If her memory served her right, on a rainy winter day, a woman had an accident at the Royal Bar. Her name was—Amanda Fuller.
Aurelia Shaw’s mood was as frantic as the raindrops pattering outside her window. The more anxious she became, the less she could reach Amanda Fuller by phone—and she didn’t know Foster Fuller’s number either.
What is Amanda doing? Why isn’t she answering the phone?
Could she really have gone to the bar?
Foster Fuller is at her place and keeps a close watch on her. He would never let her go to such a place. What happened in the previous life might not happen this time around.
With so many variables, Amanda has no reason to go to the bar at this hour.
She had to calm down. She couldn’t panic. If she panicked now and something really did happen, it would be utterly over.
Mason Nightshade’s figure flashed through Aurelia’s mind. She picked up her phone and called Mason. No matter what he was doing, he always answered her calls quickly.
A deep, mellow male voice sounded on the other end. Aurelia’s heart steadied a bit, and she spoke, "Mason, can you check Amanda’s brother’s phone number for me? Foster Fuller’s?"
Mason arched an eyebrow.
Aurelia explained, "I can’t get through to Amanda, and I’m worried something might’ve happened to her."
Aurelia had already thought of an excuse in case Mason asked what might happen to Amanda or how she knew about it. But Mason didn’t ask her anything, seeming to trust her completely.
She heard some faint noises on his end, and a few seconds later, Mason’s voice came again:
"Write this down, 155XXXXXXXX."
Just as Aurelia was about to hang up, Mason spoke again: "Where are you?"
She glanced outside, hesitated for a moment, and said, "Come find me at the Royal Bar."
"Okay."
Then he added, "Take care of yourself. I won’t allow anything to happen to you."
"Don’t worry," Aurelia chuckled softly.
"I’m serious!" Mason frowned. He didn’t question her any further, hung up, and stood to address his team: "I’ve got something to handle. I’m leaving first. Dylan, bring around a car and drive me back."
"Yes, Major General!"
Dylan Harper hurried off to get the car. Having followed Mason for so many years, he could instantly tell which of Mason’s expressions signified seriousness, and that something important needed handling. He didn’t dare to delay.
"Mason..." Rocco Cooper stood up.
Mason looked over at him. "Keep tracking Nancy Carter’s whereabouts. She couldn’t have escaped Q City in such a short time. Also, assign a few people to stay close to Eleanor Spencer. See if she tries to contact her."
"Yes, Mason!"
Rocco straightened his posture, then asked after a pause, "Mason, nothing’s happened, right?"
Mason didn’t answer. Dylan’s car had already arrived. He rushed out through the rain, jumped in, and the car sped off.
Mason sat in the backseat, pulling up a photo on his phone—the same tattoo found that day on the makeup artist who tried to harm Aurelia.
He flipped to the next photo.
It was exactly the same tattoo.
Only this one was on a burly man’s arm.
Mason’s hawk-like eyes narrowed in the darkness, sharp and chilling. What connection does this tattoo have to the murderer who killed my brother? What exactly does that organization do?
Damn! If only his memory hadn’t failed him, he would have uncovered the truth about this damn organization long ago!
He tapped on his phone again. Mason opened Aurelia’s phone tracker and saw the blinking red dot moving toward the Royal Bar.
Amanda Fuller... Where had he seen that name before?
"Drive faster!"
