Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!-Chapter 684 This Matter Seems Strange 2
There’s something strange about this.
Aurelia felt suspicious. When the makeup artist approached with the brush, she stopped her hand and looked at her with slightly amused cold eyes, "I don’t think I’ve seen you before."
"I-Is that so?" The makeup artist, a young girl, managed a stiff smile at her words, "I just got here, so it’s normal that you haven’t met me. Let’s hurry up with the makeup, the photographer’s pushing us."
"Oh?" Aurelia didn’t let go. Instead, she tightened her grip, a cold glint flashing in her slightly narrowed eyes, terrifyingly seductive.
The makeup artist was unsure about the person before her. She seemed like someone gentle and easy to get along with. Her eyes appeared to smile, yet the artist felt as if a knife was hanging behind her, breaking into a cold sweat.
"Who’s being so unruly to let a new makeup artist do my makeup? While my status in the industry isn’t superb, it’s not that low! When Caleb invited me to film the second part of ’Dawnsong’, he didn’t say this. Where is Caleb? Get him here for me!"
Hearing her wanting to find the director, the girl was so frightened her legs went weak, and she collapsed onto the floor, clinging to Aurelia’s leg, sobbing uncontrollably.
"Please, don’t go to the director. This is my first job after graduation. I can’t afford to lose it. If this reaches the director, I’ll never find a makeup artist job again in my life."
"Let go!" Aurelia couldn’t stand people begging her, especially in such a formal way, and even more so couldn’t tolerate it, swinging her legs to shake the girl off.
But she accidentally used too much force, causing the girl to crash into the table with a harsh screeching sound.
The girl glared at her with resentful eyes, "I’ve already begged you, why do you still want to see the director? People like you, up in the clouds, will never understand the struggles of people like us with difficult jobs."
Aurelia frowned. How did this even come to be? It was the girl who clung to her leg. She wanted to shake her off; how did it turn into her fault?
She has a hard job?
She’s also been working day and night shift, coming home only at dawn, with less than seven hours of rest each day; who isn’t struggling?
"People like you don’t deserve to live in this world, go to hell!" The girl grabbed the blush powder and flung it at Aurelia.
Out of instinct, Aurelia kicked her away. The scattered powder, like uncontrollable air, landed a bit on her face, and she immediately felt an unbearable itchiness, a sharp tingling sensation.
The girl on the floor quickly got up and dashed out the door.
"Chase!" Aurelia shouted, running out first and bumping into Six, who was coming in.
"S-Sis-in-law?" Six was startled.
Aurelia glanced in the direction the girl had fled, ignoring any questions about why Six was there, and pointed at the girl’s receding figure, "Catch her!"
Though confused about what was happening, Six quickly dashed after her.
"Aurelia." Amanda Fuller ran over nervously.
Aurelia quickly walked into the bathroom, splashing her face with cold water.
"Aurelia, your face..." Amanda hesitated to speak, worriedly gazing at her face.
She raised her head to look into the mirror. The woman’s face was still beautiful, but the areas at the corners of her eyes were unusually red with tiny red spots.
Poisoned.
The words flitted through Aurelia’s mind.
A strong poison at that.
