Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!-Chapter 603 Caspian Parker Found Out
Aurelia Shaw spent the entire afternoon watching TV series, and they also had dinner together. However, one was eating in bed, and the other at the coffee table.
After dinner, Aurelia opened her phone to check the reaction to the remake of "You Are My Star." Mason Nightshade had thrown himself into work again, and the keyboard hadn't stopped making noise all day.
At 10 PM, Aurelia was ready to sleep and glanced over at the sofa—Mason was still busy with work!
The documents on the desk hadn't decreased but increased, as Gustavo Yates brought over another stack in the evening.
...
Mason worked until midnight before he could finally catch his breath. He glanced instinctively towards the hospital bed, his eyes softening, appearing gentle under the dim night light.
He stepped to the bedside, and as expected, found the blanket kicked to the side. Her pale foot was exposed, resting on the blanket, while the other foot was buried under it, as if feeling cold and trying to turn over to hug herself.
With quick reflexes, Mason pressed down on her shoulder, glancing at her injured spot.
With the other hand, he reached over half of the bed, pulling up the blanket she had pushed off with her feet and covered her.
The frown on Aurelia's brow slightly relaxed.
Mason exhaled and tucked the blanket around her.
It's almost early winter now, unlike summer where kicking off the blanket was no big deal.
Mason pulled a chair to the bedside and sat in it, resting his head on one hand with his elbow on the blanket, watching her peaceful sleeping face. His tired eyes flickered and then closed.
At 4 AM, Mason woke up and saw that the blanket hadn't shifted. He let out a sigh of relief.
He put the chair back in its original place.
He lay down on the sofa, frowning. The sofa... was too small for him.
He endured it, with half of his long legs sticking out. He pulled his clothes tighter around him and managed to sleep.
Buzz buzz!
Aurelia's phone started ringing.
Aurelia stretched out her hand, fumbling blindly on the bed, her eyes still closed. She slid open the answer key by feel, and a lazy word slipped out of her mouth, "Hello."
Aurelia's voice was really pleasing, especially carrying a hint of morning drowsiness, inadvertently casting a fatal allure over a man.
Caspian Parker gave a sudden shiver, for the first time realizing his sister truly had a bewitching quality. "Still not awake? What do you want for breakfast? I'll buy it and bring it over."
Aurelia rattled off a list of dishes.
Caspian picked out the ones she could eat, automatically skipping the ones she couldn't.
Caspian asked casually, "Are you there by yourself?" If there were more people, he'd buy more.
Aurelia didn't think much and blurted out, "Mason is here too."
There was a five-second silence on the phone.
Caspian's sullen voice quietly rose, "Why is Mason there at this hour? Don't tell me he didn't leave last night."
"Yeah, he didn't..." Aurelia suddenly woke up, glanced at the caller ID on the screen, and felt a headache coming on, "Brother..."
"What's going on?" Caspian's voice had a sharp edge, coming out through clenched teeth. He had been careless yesterday, assuming Mason would leave. He had overestimated the man's shamelessness.
Aurelia rubbed her temples in frustration, "It's not what you think. In short, there's nothing between us, and nothing happened."
Caspian snorted coldly, "If he dares to do anything with you now, I'll make sure he can never stand up again."
"..."
