Did she know this cat liked her, but to this extent?

If someone didn't know better, they'd think it was her cat. ๐’ป๐‘Ÿโ„ฏโ„ฏ๐‘ค๐‘’๐‘๐‘›๐˜ฐ๐“‹๐‘’๐“.๐’ธ๐‘œ๐˜ฎ

"What brings you here today?" Caspian Parker poured two cups of tea, handed one to her, sat down across from her, and with eyes that seemed to see right through, asked gently.

Aurelia Shaw lounged on the sofa, her posture lazy, peach blossom eyes lowered, and her beautiful fingers gently stroked the smooth fur of Little White. In a seemingly casual voice, she said, "I missed you, so I came by to see you. Is that not allowed?"

"There's nothing wrong with that," Caspian smiled and, looking at her, asked again, "Really nothing going on?"

"Nothing," Aurelia tugged at the corners of her mouth.

Caspian's eyes deepened slightly.

He didn't press further.

He stood up, "Stay for dinner tonight."

"Are you going to cook for me?" Caspian could cook; she knew that since she was a child. He was very good at it, and she often pestered him to cook for her.

Back then, she was really quite willful.

The older she got, the more she restrained herself.

Caspian smiled indulgently, "I'd love to make a meal for the spoiled young lady, but you, little lazybones, wouldn't dream of cooking for me."

Aurelia wasn't provoked and retorted, "With a brother as good at cooking as mine, showcasing my culinary skills would be too presumptuous."

"You do have a way with words."

Suddenly, Aurelia leapt up from the sofa, nearly causing Little White to fall. Luckily, it clung to her clothes with its claws, grumbling in dissatisfaction.

Aurelia cradled it, and said to Caspian, "Brother, I'll go grocery shopping with you."

Caspian raised an eyebrow.

He looked at her for a moment, then nodded, "Come on, little freeloader."

Freeloader?

Aurelia raised an eyebrow, "Freeloaders don't carry groceries for you."

"That's what you said," Caspian laughed mischievously.

Aurelia: "..." Why did she feel like she'd fallen into a trap?

The two of them went to the nearby supermarket.

Caspian talked about making Aurelia carry groceries, but he was never going to let her actually do it. Aurelia followed behind him, putting everything she wanted to eat into the shopping cart.

Caspian picked out the ingredients he needed, catching sight of her little actions out of the corner of his eye, but he didn't stop her. A doting smile tugged at his lips as he charmingly asked the shop assistant:

"Excuse me, how much are these crabs per pound?"

The shop assistant was a middle-aged lady in her forties who immediately dazzled under Caspian's smile.

She thought to herself: This young man is really handsome, looks like he walked out of a painting. Could he be a big star? But I've never seen him on TV.

Good-looking people always receive a bit of special treatment.

The lady patted her thighs enthusiastically, "You've come at the right time; the crabs are on promotion. If you buy a couple more, I'll give you a 20% discount."

Caspian smiled helplessly.

Lady, does your boss know you're doing this?

Caspian got pulled into the seafood section by the lady to "deep talk" about other seafood, but he was worried about Aurelia and glanced back at her.

Just then, Aurelia's stomach suddenly felt a downward pull, a throbbing pain. The feeling was familiar, and after calculating the days, it seemed about time for her period.

Seeing Caspian looking at her, surrounded by people, Aurelia raised her chin at him, "You go ahead, I'll wander in the supermarket and get some things."

"Can you manage on your own?" Caspian habitually treated her like a child.

Aurelia chuckled, "Brother, I'm not three years old anymore."
