Aurelia Shaw's red lips pressed together, her eyes cold and distant, her brows furrowed slightly in confusion.
She suddenly thought of how Mason Nightshade looked when she came out of the bathroom, seemingly in a panic looking for her, as if afraid she would suddenly disappear.
She had seen this expression before... on her first night back with the crew, during a meal break she left and ran into Hadrian Turner halfway, so she returned a bit late.
When she returned to the room, she saw Mason Nightshade sitting on the sofa looking desolate, and when he saw her, there was a flash of relieved joy in his eyes, mingled with a slight fear and tension.
Aurelia felt a twinge of suspicion in her heart, but she didn't ask.
She brushed his hand away, her tone somewhat aloof, "Go change your clothes first."
Mason looked up at her, feeling that her attitude towards him had grown a lot colder, but... maybe she was just hungry.
Her mood often swung unpredictably, quite willful.

"Okay, wait here for me for a bit."
Mason picked up the clothes from the bed, glanced at his phone, picked it up, and opened it.

During the meal, Aurelia didn't speak, and Mason was naturally a man of few words. Previously, when they ate together, it was usually Aurelia making requests and Mason would fulfill them, or he'd serve her dishes, choose condiments... and so on.
Breakfast was simple, so none of that was necessary.
After the meal, Mason intended to take her back, but Amanda Fuller had come to pick up Aurelia.
"Mr. Ye," Amanda Fuller greeted Mason warmly and explained, "Aurelia has another engagement to rush to later, I called her this morning, and she said you were here, so I drove straight over."
Mason nodded.
Seeing Aurelia emerge from inside, Amanda quickly walked over and opened the door of the nanny van.
With Mason around, she wasn't worried about any harmful scandals swirling around Aurelia.
Aurelia got into the car, and Amanda, seated inside, waved to Mason, "Mr. Ye, we'll be off then."
Mason nodded, his gaze swept past Amanda and landed on Aurelia. The latter looked down at her phone, oblivious to his gaze, a sense of loss welling up in his dark eyes.
Amanda felt something, nudged Aurelia's arm, and upon seeing Aurelia's unchanged expression, she immediately understood something, and waved energetically at Mason again.
"Mr. Ye, we're in a hurry to make the engagement, so we're leaving now. Driver, please go."
The car slowly pulled away for some distance before Aurelia looked up from her phone.
She closed her eyes, tilting her head back, and exhaled deeply.
Carefully, Amanda asked, "Did you and Mr. Ye have a fight?"
Aurelia shook her head.

"Miss, you need to come to the hospital quickly, your father is in trouble."

Aurelia sat up abruptly, "Stop the car! To the city center hospital! Quick!"
