Aurelia was awakened by hunger.

Her stomach growled with a "gurgle gurgle." She looked up at the man behind the large desk; he was impeccably dressed in a suit, his expression indifferent and stern, while his long, distinctive fingers were rapidly dancing across the keyboard, producing a rhythmic "click-clack-clack" sound.

"Aurelia, don't look at me like that." He didn't lift his gaze, his deep, husky voice came softly from behind the computer.

Aurelia hugged a pillow, tilting her head onto it, "Mason, I'm hungry."

The man, who had been working tirelessly all morning without a pause, suddenly stopped his hands.

He stood up, grabbed his coat, and half-squatted in front of her.

His voice was deep and tender, "Should we eat here, or go out for a meal?"

Aurelia pursed her lips, "I certainly don't want to eat the boxed lunch here."

Mason chuckled softly, indulgently ruffling her hair, "Alright, then let's go out and eat. What would you like to eat? I'll make a reservation."

Aurelia listed out what she wanted to eat.

Then, the certain CEO squatted on the ground, holding his phone, carefully considering which restaurant they should go to.

After choosing one, Aurelia suddenly said she felt like having fish. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

Mason gave her a glance, picked up the coat from the sofa, stood up, put it on, adjusting his cuffs while looking down at her.

Aurelia thought he was finally going to lose it and explode in a fit of temper.

Unexpectedly, Mason sighed helplessly and indulgingly said, "Alright, let's go. I know a place with delicious fish."

Aurelia raised an eyebrow.

Mason smiled wryly, "More than picking what to eat for lunch, it troubles me more that you have something you like to eat."

Aurelia tilted her chin upward, the corners of her lips slightly turning up, surprised to find something that could stump him.

Mason drove for four or five hours to a seaside restaurant, surrounded by glass on all sides, offering a view of the outside scenery. The second floor was an open-air restaurant with a view of the sea.

Aurelia sat in the chair, half her face nestled behind the scarf, revealing only a pair of mesmerizing and clear peach blossom eyes, large and long-lashed, like little fans fluttering.

She sat there quietly, watching Mason finish ordering and hand the menu back to the waiter.

"Mason, are we both crazy? Eating seafood at an open-air restaurant on a cold day," Aurelia complained.

Just from listening to the sound of her voice, one might think she was a gentle woman. However, upon hearing her tone and the content of her words, one could sense the proud temperament she possessed.

In reality, it wasn't that cold there. Although the wind was a bit chilly, the ground had automatic heating, and there was centralized heating all around. Not only was it not cold, but it was also comfortably warm. The sea breeze was just right.

The people around wore light clothing, except for Aurelia, who wore a wool coat, wrapped in a scarf, bundled up like a cocoon.

The waiter wondered if the heating in their restaurant was broken.

"No one here will recognize you," Mason understood her concerns and said softly.

Even if they did recognize her, the people who came here were all prominent and cultured individuals who would never resort to taking secret photographs or interrupting their meal.

Aurelia pulled off her scarf and tossed it on the seat beside her.

The hot milk tea Mason ordered for her was quickly brought over. She held the tea, sipping it, her eyes squinting as she gazed into the distance, not focusing on anything in particular.

Ping!

The phone chimed.

Aurelia picked it up and glanced at it, her peach blossom eyes narrowing slightly, as a bright smile curled at the corners of her lips.
