Tokyo: My Superpower Refreshes Every Week-Chapter 576 - 574: God Before You
Returning home, Ayatsuki Ayaka immediately closed and locked the door.
From the living room came Ayaka's surprised voice.
"Ayaka, you bought it back so quickly, well done~"
As she spoke, Ayaka cheerfully approached her, being quite satisfied with her sister's efficiency, but quickly noticed something was off.
Ayatsuki Ayaka looked flustered, her eyes showing signs of redness as if she had been crying.
She immediately raised her eyebrow and angrily asked, "Who bullied you?"
"Sister Ayaka, just now someone outside tried to kill me, and I don't even know what I did to provoke them."
Hearing Ayatsuki Ayaka's words, Ayaka was shocked. She didn't think it was something she could handle and hurriedly said, "We should call the police immediately."
"That's not an option."
Upon hearing Ayatsuki Ayaka's refusal, Ayaka instantly realized the severity of the situation. "Could it be that the people trying to kill you are high-ranking police officers?
Did you stumble upon a secret transaction between the police and criminals?
Or maybe the ice cream you bought hidden some criminal evidence?"
Ayaka's imagination ran wild, quickly coming up with a series of guesses.
Ayatsuki Ayaka shook her head, her expression serious, "Sister Ayaka, don't be startled, but actually, I'm a Superpower user!
Just now, when the bad guys tried to kill me, a diamond-shaped light suddenly appeared and bounced them away.
It's just that I still don't know how to use this Superpower."
In the brief silence that followed, Ayaka reconsidered her earlier assessment; it wasn't impossible that her sister was lying, her eyes suspicious, "Ayaka, are you deliberately making up stories because you're unhappy I asked you to run errands?"
"Of course not."
Ayatsuki Ayaka replied, then lowered her head to take off her shoes and wanted to come up.
Seizing the moment, Ayaka promptly swung a heavy punch at Ayatsuki Ayaka's neck.
It was a test to see if her sister was telling the truth.
If she was lying, being hit was what she deserved.
A diamond-shaped colored Light Shield appeared at Ayatsuki Ayaka's neck, Ayaka's fist landed, and she felt a force of rebound.
"Ouch, it hurts!"
She exclaimed, quickly rubbing her hand's back.
Ayatsuki Ayaka looked up, a bit puzzled in her eyes, "Sister Ayaka, what's going on?"
"I just hit you, and indeed a colored Light Shield appeared!
Ayaka, you truly are a Superpower user!"
"Eh heh heh, I told you, right."
Hearing her sister say this, Ayatsuki Ayaka couldn't help but have a proud expression on her tanned face.
After being ordinary for so many years, she's finally going to rise up!
To say she wasn't at all pleased would be a lie.
However, she also knew very well that at this moment, with a Superpower like hers that couldn't be activated voluntarily, it was best to be low-key.
"It seems like I have a defensive-type Superpower; I can only defend passively, not attack."
"That's still impressive, wait, might I also have such a Superpower?"
Ayaka pondered, with her sister being a Superpower user, could she, being the elder sister, just be a common person?
Maybe she too is a latent Superpower user.
"Ayaka, quickly hit me and try."
Hearing this request, Ayatsuki Ayaka clenched her right hand and used all her strength to hit Ayaka's abdomen.
The punch was like hitting cotton.
"Ouch," Ayaka immediately bent over in pain.
Ayatsuki Ayaka's eyes shone, "Sister Ayaka, maybe attacking openly won't trigger the defense, how about I secretly attack you?"
"You brat, you're obviously trying to retaliate!"
Ayaka immediately wrestled her neck and rubbed her temple.
"You clearly made the request, yet you blame me!"
Ayatsuki Ayaka defended her actions, "Stop it! That group might come knocking any moment.
We better lock all the doors and windows first."
Hearing her words, Ayaka once again realized the seriousness of the situation.
Calling the police could expose her sister's Superpowers.
They couldn't possibly fend off those ruthless thugs, nor would their parents have enough fighting prowess.
"What should we do?"
"Don't worry, I've already talked to Aozawa, he's very capable, he's the Sword Dao champion of the Jade Dragon Flag, and friend Hojo Tetsuji is also very skilled."
"That's good."
Ayaka breathed a sigh of relief, and a trace of envy flashed in her heart. Having a boyfriend was indeed reassuring in times of danger.
Without a boyfriend, what would she do when faced with danger in the future?
She thought about it, her sister's boyfriend could more or less protect her too, probably.
Ayaka spun those thoughts in her mind, then started closing the windows at home and retrieved dad's baseball bat.
The katana was too short, making her feel unsafe.
The two sisters gathered in the living room, on guard for any possible intruding thugs.
...
Wow, cold water poured down from above.
Slim awoke from the stupor, finding the sky ahead a bloody red, a scarlet moon hanging above.
Numerous crosses rose from the desolate ground.
He realized he was tied to one of the crosses, with two other cult members sharing the same fate.
Other crosses bore skeletal remains, unrecognizable as human.
Caw, crows screeched piercingly, their eyes blood-red with spinning black boomerangs within, their feathers a shade of black incompatible with the bloody world.
One landed on the boy's shoulder, staring at him with its eerie kaleidoscope Sharingan eyes.
"Where is this? And who are you?"
"Welcome to Hell!"
Aozawa spoke, stabbing a knife into his thigh, and another katana appeared in his hand out of thin air.
"Ah!"
The intense pain made Slim scream, and it made him realize that none of this was an illusion – it was reality.
But how could he fall into Hell?
This must be the Demon trying to prevent him from summoning God.
"Haha, are you afraid of us?"
"I don't know what nonsense you're talking about."
Aozawa stabbed another knife into the thigh of the nearby follower and said coldly, "Where did you hear about Ayatsuki Ayaka?"
"Haha, Demon, you can torture us all you want, but devout believers in God will never surrender to you!"
Slim laughed wildly.
His devout faith made him indifferent to physical harm. He firmly believed that after death, his soul would surely be saved by God and ascend to Paradise.
The other two who followed him naturally had thought processes beyond ordinary comprehension.
"That's right, we'll never surrender to the Demon!"
"Bring it on with any methods you have."
"Fanatics are truly speechless."
Aozawa knew clearly that using such methods to make the other side reveal Ayatsuki Ayaka's information was evidently impossible.
He directly used his Hypnosis ability, saying: "Now I ask a question, and you answer it."
"Alright."
Slim nodded.
The two nearby followers looked astonished. In their hearts, the Sect Hierarch's faith in God was always devout and should not cooperate with the Demon's actions.
"Demon, what did you do to the Sect Hierarch?"
The crow on Aozawa's shoulder stared at the two, sealing their annoying mouths, and continued to ask, "Why are you looking for Ayatsuki Ayaka?"
"We want to use her as a sacrifice to complete the ritual to summon God."
"Where did you get her information?"
"From Informant Mickey."
"Who told you there was an Informant Mickey in Tokyo?"
"A person who called himself Saike."
"Who is he?"
"I don't know, only that he was willing to sponsor me to conduct experiments in Tokyo."
"I see. What's your name?"
Aozawa asked this to ensure the accuracy of Fate Weaving.
"Slim..."
He truthfully gave his and the two followers' names.
Immediately, he realized something was wrong. Why did he divulge everything the other wanted to know?
...
Realizing this, a trace of fear rose in Slim's heart, and he shouted, "Demon, what did you just do to me?"
"Isn't Demon referring to you all? Look down."
Upon hearing this, Slim looked down and found his body was no longer human. Blood-red skin covered the surface, and his hands had become claws.
He instinctively touched his cheek. The ropes binding his arms and the Cross behind him had disappeared.
He could reach his cheek, feeling the rough skin. Moving upward along his face, he felt the pointed ram horns.
"No, I can't be a Demon!"
Slim shouted.
Aozawa conjured three full-body mirrors, letting them see their current forms clearly.
Cloven hooves, a slender tail, bat-like wing membranes, and a head resembling a ram.
"No, this isn't me!"
Slim hurriedly shook his head, the reflection in the mirror shaking along with him.
Had he truly fallen to become a Demon?!
For Slim, who believed in God, this was absolutely intolerable and unacceptable.
He glared at Aozawa with hatred, roaring, "It's you! You Demon!"
"You don't even recognize God, and yet you dare to call yourself a devout believer?"
When Aozawa said this, his whole body emitted a sacred white light, and at that moment, his form in the dream stretched, transforming into the Giant of Light, his voice booming: "Slim, you have long committed heinous acts in my name, falling into Hell is the punishment you deserve."
"No! Impossible!"
Slim frantically shook his head, shouting, "All this is fake, a hallucination you've concocted!"
"To be abandoned by me is to be abandoned by the Lord; God detests you."
Aozawa used the power of Hypnosis to instill this fact into the hearts of the three.
"No!"
Slim shouted, feeling the grand palace in his mind crumbling bit by bit, and unprecedented emptiness and pain swept over him.
Almost driving him to collapse and madness.
Aozawa had no mercy, waving his hand, "You will remain conscious, falling into the eternally dark Hell."
Once again, he declared solemnly, making the dreamscape wake up.
Slim opened his eyes, only to see darkness before him.
"Todd! Moser!"
He shouted the names of his companions, but got no response. In the darkness, he was alone, "No, this can't be real?!"
Inside the train, Aozawa opened his eyes. He hadn't rushed to eliminate the three but left them to starve in the Shadow World.
He picked up his phone; Ayatsuki Ayaka had sent a new message.
"Aozawa, where are you?"
"Don't be afraid, I'm on my way."
Replied Aozawa to the message.
