Chapter 459: Chapter 457 Godzilla You Are Really Too Strong_1

Sand billowed endlessly.

Emily had somewhat grown accustomed to Dio’s ability, which allowed her to go from Kabukicho to a distant foreign land in a blink.

Her feet touched down on the sand. The sun beat down on her head, and the wind brushed across her face; it felt like being inside the Taoist Master’s crucible. She was like the Monkey King engulfed in flames.

Leaving an air-conditioned room for Tokyo’s outdoors was already hot enough, let alone being teleported directly to the world’s largest desert, the Sahara Desert.

It was just past ten in the morning, and the temperature here had already surpassed forty-one degrees Celsius.

"So hot?!"

Emily shouted, feeling the heat scorch her soles through her slippers. She kept lifting her feet off the scalding sand. Sweat beaded rapidly on her body, gradually making her vest slightly transparent. However, her youthful figure didn’t outline any captivating curves.

Aozawa had no interest in flat chests.

"Don’t panic, you’ll cool down soon."

"What do you mean by that?"

A bad premonition washed over Emily. She recalled the last time Dio showed up at her doorstep and sent her to Antarctica, where she witnessed the Dread Emperor breaking the world’s rules.

Now, suddenly appearing in the Sahara Desert, am I about to witness another scene?

The thought flashed through her mind: could there be a world’s rule here as well? Thinking it over, Dio hadn’t said there was only one rule of the world. Perhaps there were related rules in the east, south, west, and north.

Emily soon found it hard to think further. The intense heat in the air made her throat parched, and her cherry-red lips turned dry and cracked, as if they would flake off with a tug. She couldn’t stand it. Her azure eyes scanned the barren desert. There was nothing here, not even a hill in sight, just the endless yellow sands and the high temperatures that seemed to distort space itself. The extreme desolation evoked an image of the vastness of heaven and earth in her heart.

As she surveyed her surroundings, she suddenly noticed the sands in the west collapsing downward, and a large quantity of lake water rapidly gushed out from the ground.

Water emerging in the Sahara Desert?!

Emily didn’t believe such a scene was natural; it was probably related to Dio’s presence.

"It’s coming."

Seeing the water emerge, Aozawa knew it was time for him to act. He directly used his Element Replacement ability, transforming himself into a gust of wind, and then activated Infinity Big.

The wind he became rapidly expanded, whirling up the sands, giving Emily and Katerina no chance to resist as they were swept high into the sky.

It was at this moment that Emily understood why Dio had said she would cool down in a bit.

Being taken tens of thousands of meters high into the sky, how could it not be cooler?

"WAAAH!"

Emily screamed in terror, her mouth filled with wind and her blonde hair billowing wildly. Her short limbs flailed about like those of a drowning person. She tried to emulate the eagles soaring in the sky, but alas, human hands cannot transform into wings, and she continued to plummet downward.

The only silver lining was that she had been thrown high enough to give Dio plenty of time to catch her.

Realizing this, Emily’s terror subsided, and her heart calmed as she looked down at the desert below.

A great amount of clear water burst forth from the desert, quickly forming a huge lake. At the center of the lake, a whirlpool emerged.

A massive head protruded from the whirlpool, belonging to a Monster not of this world. Its surface was covered in deep blue skin, hard and solid like the exterior of an aircraft carrier. The Monster’s head vaguely resembled that of a dinosaur, its body so large and robust that its head seemed somewhat small in comparison. On its back were fin-like protrusions similar to those of a fish, and in front were a pair of claws that looked comically short.

If I were any closer, I’m sure I wouldn’t be able to laugh at all. Only from this high altitude could she afford to scrutinize the creature’s overall appearance. She believed that, once on the ground, the creature’s claws could skewer hundreds of her for a roast.

With a simple sweep of its stout tail, the Monster sent waves tens of meters high surging from the lake, crashing into the surrounding desert.

"ROAR!"

Godzilla stood in the lake, its head raised in a roar that shook the heavens, as if declaring to the world that the king of monsters had arrived.

Emily’s eardrums buzzed from the vibration, her expression one of fear. She glanced around but didn’t see Dio anywhere.

Where is he?

This thought flashed through her mind. Just then, an intense heat wave struck her face, replacing the coolness.

A sun appeared on the ground. The flames roared fiercely, seeming to scorch even the clouds above.

Upon closer inspection, Emily realized it wasn’t a sun, but Dio transformed into a Flame Giant.

"WHAT?!"

She was so astonished her jaw dropped. She felt that all the Hollywood movies and special effects she had ever seen paled in comparison to the spectacle before her eyes.

It has to be at least seven to eight kilometers tall, right?

So immense that even the unknown Monster emerging from the lake seemed tiny in front of the Flame Giant. It was the difference between an adult and an infant.

Godzilla ceased its roaring, its small, bean-like eyes bulging.

The creatures created by the Book of Destiny all possessed a certain level of intelligence, no different from real living beings. Aozawa could only indirectly control them through destiny; he couldn’t manipulate their minds directly. Therefore, Godzilla could feel emotions such as anger and fear.

"My world doesn’t need a powerful Monster like you."

Aozawa’s right hand reached downward and grasped.

Godzilla raised its head and roared but couldn’t fend off the all-encompassing flames. The hand was so large that Godzilla couldn’t even see its full outline.

Aozawa held it single-handedly in his palm. The high temperature instantly evaporated the lake into vast clouds of steam.

"AWOOO!"

Like a puppy thrown into flames, Godzilla struggled desperately, still unable to escape the fate of being burned alive.

Emily felt a pang of sympathy for the Monster in her heart.

I have no idea how Dio tracks the trajectory of these Monsters appearing in this world. But those Monsters, capable of destroying cities, even nations, are truly no match for Dio. Wait... Emily suddenly realized something was amiss. If Dio dislikes powerful Monsters coming to this world, then why does he turn a blind eye to the Dread Emperor? Can Dio really not defeat the Dread Emperor?

This thought occupied Emily’s mind.

The scorching heat had cooked the hundreds-of-meters-tall Godzilla from the outside in. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Aozawa hurled Godzilla’s corpse upwards forcefully.

BOOM! A sonic boom erupted as the charred body rocketed into the sky. Its crisped surface skin was peeled away by the razor-sharp wind. Flakes of blackened flesh crumbled and scattered in the wind.

His right hand struck upwards, and under the boost of Infinity Big, the flames of his right hand surged once again, reaching a length of seven kilometers. The pillar of fire, more terrifying than an eruption of the Yellowstone Volcano, shot straight into the sky, dispelling the clouds.

The fiery fist engulfed Godzilla’s body. In an instant, Emily watched with her own eyes as the massive creature turned to ash in the flames.

A thick wave of hot wind hit her face. Her hair and clothes felt as if they would ignite. Simply taking a breath sent a scalding sensation from her throat straight to her lungs.

"COUGH, COUGH."

Emily coughed loudly, suddenly too scared to breathe. Her eyes instantly filled with tears. She didn’t close them, however, and noticed that after Godzilla’s demise, a sapphire-blue gemstone had appeared where it died.

What is that?

Curiosity flashed through Emily’s mind. Then she spotted Dio’s figure beside the gemstone. She guessed in an instant that Dio came here specifically to kill that Monster and obtain the gemstone.

Is that some kind of treasure?

Emily thought of terms like "magic core" and "magic crystal" from some western fantasy novels.

With his back to Emily, Aozawa used his Marked Detonation ability to shatter the gemstone, then turned his body into a breeze to quickly catch Emily and Katerina.

The Global Travel ability activated, and the three of them instantly jumped back to the upper floors of the Big Fat Sheep Bar, where the cool air from the air-conditioning blew over Emily.

She quickly grabbed the unfinished glass of orange juice, slurping it eagerly. The cold sensation made her feel like she had come back to life.

Emily let out a sigh, the heat in her body gradually fading away. She glanced at the blond man standing there and asked curiously, "What kind of Monster was that?"

"Godzilla."

Aozawa answered seriously. He had researched it; Godzilla movies did not exist in this world. The movies and TV shows here bore some similarities to those in his original world but were completely different in other respects.

Emily’s eyes darted around. She asked tentatively, "I think I saw a sapphire-blue gemstone appear after Godzilla died in the fire. What was that gemstone?"

"Guess," Aozawa smiled and countered with a question.

After thinking it over, Emily said, "Is it related to Godzilla’s energy?"

"You guessed half right."

Aozawa didn’t say what the other half was. He only turned his body into an intangible breeze. "I have to leave first. We’ll talk next time."

"Huh?!"

Surprise flashed across Emily’s face. Before she could say anything to stop him, he had already disappeared.

She held the glass of orange juice in her hands, her brows slightly furrowed.

It’s strange. Why would Dio take me to witness such scenes twice in a row? If it’s about deepening our friendship, does his understanding of friendship differ from ordinary people? How could any friendship develop in such a short time? Or is it... Emily rested her chin in her hand. ...that Dio needs my assistance to know where the Monsters are? From this perspective, that seems more believable than Dio wanting to deepen our friendship. As for why he needs my assistance and how I can help, it’s likely related to his choice of me as a friend. However, why haven’t I heard from the special task force about Kochou being taken anywhere by Dio?

Emily’s brows furrowed deeply; she couldn’t make sense of Dio’s actions. But she was clear on what she needed to do: post on the forum, recount her experiences to Morimoto Chiyoda, and see what the latter made of the incident.

「 」

DING! The cell phone notification sounded, but Morimoto Chiyoda didn’t end the call. She leaned back lazily on the sofa, legs crossed, and said, "Alright, Jack, you’re not a child. I know you’re anxious, but calm down first and tell me, what exactly happened?"

Jack realized he was panicking too much, but the situation was too important for him to stay calm. "Morimoto, this is bad! The CIA’s deployment plans for the Mount Fuji Base have been stolen! What should I do?"
